Hey capologists, where are we now
mary owen replied to mary owen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i didn't mean the next Eric Greene as a whole. I meant what he did for his short time with the Steelers was pretty damn good. we don't need him to be the ultimate weapon for us, just an important cog in the machine. And trust me, I watched Eric Greene play and he was a force. Don't care if he dances or not. If we can get what the Steelers got out of Greene in an undrafted 2nd year player (Peters), I will be happy. Green had close to 1000 yds receiving in 93 i think. That is what I am refering to. -

hope you are right.i have had nothing but high hopes for him even before the Bills signed him. I remember how big and bad Eric Greene was when he 1st came into the league. He was a load. -

you're right. he can catch.but living here in AZ and hearing allot about the Cards, it has come to be known that he's not a good blocker. He's known as a TE who doesn't work hard, and a TE that doesn't work hard isn't committed enough to block. -
interesting takes. I hate that he says Tim Anderson was a disappointment. How??? he barely played, and who would notice with SamX2 out there? But I like that he feels TA can probably get it done. and he feels we won't miss JJ. I agree there. Bills DT Pat Williams to the Vikings Williams is a wide body in the middle who will be tough for the Bills to replace. He was stout against the run. The Bills don't have a player ready to step in with his ability to do that job. Ron Edwards will get first crack, but second-year player Tim Anderson, who was disappointing as a rookie, could be the player who could eventually take over as the starter. Neither Edwards nor Anderson have the bulk of Williams. Rate the replacement: Williams will be missed. But you can develop tackles. Anderson might be ready to make that move. Bills LT Jonas Jennings to the 49ers The 49ers were desperate for a left tackle, so they overpaid for Jennings in a big way. Jennings is a good player, but he's by no means a premier left tackle. In fact, some still think he's a better guard. That said, it's a big hit for the Bills, who do not have a quality backup ready to step in. They are trying to make a deal to get L.J. Shelton from the Cardinals, but that hasn't happened yet. There's also talk of moving Trey Teague from center to tackle. If they get Shelton, Jennings won't be missed. They're on the same level. If they move Teague out, they could have some trouble inside. Rate the replacement: They'll be fine. This isn't Walter Jones we're talking about. http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8342031

i think we need a TE who can block and catch for MM's offense. he ain't it. -
I know it will change slightly after camp cuts and all, but where are the Bills at re: the Cap???
-
I say Williams is the better WR. I won't be shocked if MW went before BE. If Mike Williams hangs around long enough, Minnesota will instantly have Moss's replacement. But he should be picked before #7 (and who's to say Minnesota won't take too much time again)

they tried to get Billy Joe Hobert to watch it. But he never read the VCR manual and couldn't figure it out
-
maybe Romeo has seen enough of him. like that 3rd and 1 phantom tackle last year
-
Tatum Bell
-
some Myers cat as well
-
The Browncos. I'm starting to think Romeo and Shannahan are lovers.

if the Bills pull off the deal on draft day and move up 10 spots, how will you feel about it?
-
i don't hate TH and never posted anything negative about him. but the article gives him credit for not being a locker room cancer and being a good sport. To quote Chris Rock "That's what your SUPPOSED to do!" i can't credit him for NOT doing something. Anywho, he is under contract no matter what happens, so his threats to sit out are not admirable.

i think it's wrong for anyone to be labeled a _______ Basher simply for stating their critical opinions of that player. For me, I don't go by many stats at all. I watched the games and saw the good bad and ugly of Drew Bledsoe. Let me tell you, I saw more bad and ugly then I saw good while he was in Buffalo. Class has nothing to do with it, really. I think it's more obsessive when people get real defensive whenever they see a post that's critical of Drew Bledsoe. No attacks going on here, just opinions. If someone felt he "sucked" then so be it. It's their opinion and they are fans like anyone else. why be so defensive about it? -

sounds like your obsessing over the cowboy qb who lays blame on his former team(s) handling of him. his comment was about the Bills. Therefore, we Bills fans should be able to discuss it without a lecture. should we not discuss anything about Haslett's comments about the Bills simply because he is with the Saints now? hmmmm??????? -
i did get him to change it to vicodin, only because it has helped me in the past. the pain is almost all gone anyway, so now I have a supply of each that should last me quite a while. thanks guys!

i happen to think that those who laugh at folks in a short yellow bus should refrain from lecturing others on what it is to be "Classy". -

what? we didn't just start a bash Drew thread. the post was about a comment HE made, a contradictory one at that. the interviewer asked him a question that allot of people wanted to know the answer to. He answered it, and we have opinions on HIS comment. i'm no less classier than Drew Bledsoe becuase i POSTED MY OPINION ON A FAN FORUM. Again, he gets credit for being classy because he's on a top ten football statistic list?????? I guess OJ's pretty classy too. Poor Drew. All of our posts about his lack of success with the Bills is harrassing this poor "classy" soul. gimme a break -
comments on Kent Hull and the juice
mary owen replied to Hull, Kent67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm with you. i think haslett is mental. why do this now? I like to see Hull crack him one. do it right before the season opener for the Saints. That way we can all witness him on Prime Time sporting a raw steak on his eye on the sidelines. I wasn't sure about when the steroids ban was in effect. But my feeling is there were some in the league doing it to the extreme, like Alzado and The Tuz. I wouldn't expect KH to be in that same category.
