I was not directed to a Chinese site.  Although, I was directed to the TBD login.  Seemed a bit goofy, but logged in and ended up on the site.

They also have a version for Mac.  Was having issues on my wife’s Mac and Malwarebytes found a couple of bad files.  That along with Norton, fixed my issue.

I hate Norton, but at this time it is the most up to date Virus protection for Mac that I’ve found.  It runs leaner than it used to, not as much of a resource hog.

I like Malwarebytes Premium for both PC and Mac.  That Adwcleaner is a product Malwarebytes bought a few years ago. Good for quick cleaning , especially for browser issues.

    Sorry

  2. I'm not really all that interested in celebrity stuff, so have never bothered to get an autograph or anything. But while working at WCVB in Boston (Needham, actually) the great guitarist Larry Carlton was there and on our local morning show. I noticed him playing on the TV in my office, so walked down the hall. When he came out of the studio I said, "Just wanted to say I'm a big fan. Thanks for all the music."  He said Thanks and shook my hand.

One other time at the Tralf the David Grisman Quartet (maybe Quintet) played two shows. After the first show my buddy and I stopped at the bar and two of the band members (I won't mention their names) came to the bar and noticed we were a bit ***** up. Conversation revealed we had consumed some mushrooms during the show. So we slipped the guys a few shrooms before we left. They were very happy.  I never heard how the second show went.

One good reason is you never know how much they will gouge you. I was in Philly recently, took an Uber ride about a mile for $9 on a Wednesday. Same ride cost $26 the following day.

Don't they let you know the price BEFORE the ride? If you don't like the price,  call lyft or a cab. If a cab is more expensive then maybe the Uber price was reasonable given demand.

The parade would be in Feb. At 95 its probably not a good idea to be outside in Buffalo in Feb. I hope the Bills can win it while Marv is still around.

Put him in a Popemobile, if it's an issue. If he's alive he should be there. If he passed, then just put his coffin on a flatbed.

Again with the silly, erroneous speculation.

    Stop it.

But coming from WEO … of course it’s coming from WEO. Still batting .000.

Also, reading through this thread, I see it filled with a buncha Doogie Housers on the case.

Not enough that the Pegulas finally put out an update. People have to keep on speculating of which they know nothing.

Might as well close this thread, too.

The only intelligent post in this s#itshow of a thread.

It’s all your delusional posts are worth.  I learned a long time ago that talking sense to crazy is nothing but a waste of time and energy.

Ah gotcha. Because you can't think of any other reason he may not have attended OTAs other than a contract negotiation issue it MUST be a contract negotiation issue.

And I'm saying, it MIGHT be something else. And I'm delusional..  Great. I get it.

I understand some people have trouble with uncertainty.

Lol.  Yeah, I do think it would be helpful for Jackson to be at OTAs.  He lost his favorite WR this off-season and never got in the same page as last year’s 1st round pick WR.  As for putting him in the same class as Brady and Rodgers - it just shows how far you’re reaching here.  He held out of voluntary OTAs because it’s part of contract negotiations.  Everyone else understands that.

Yes, when you have zero information on a subject, just assume it HAS to be because of something you are familiar with. Nobody has different reasons for doing things. Live in the box. It's a comfortable place if you don't like to challenge your mind.

You can’t be serious.  Please list all of the starting QBs without contract issues that did this.  From what I can find that list for this off-season is Brady and Rodgers, who obviously do not need the practice.  Also QBs Kyler Murray (contract issues) and Baker Mayfield (excused, team trying to trade).

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/which-nfl-players-are-sitting-out-otas-lamar-jackson-kyler-murray-among-stars-not-at-offseason-activities/amp/

Well, I wasn't restricting myself to QBs, but you YOU JUST NAMED TWO QBS who didn't attend OTAs.  Do you really think Jackson needs the "practice" that occurs in OTAs?  He is the unquestionable starter for the Ravens as has been in that system for three years. He won an MVP in that offense. I'm sure he doesn't need the limited practice they manage to get in OTAs. It's most valuable for rookies and new players to the system. Now, to be sure, I'd like every player to be there, even if they don't need the practice. But we know that isn't always the case.

Also keep in mind, Jackson is his own agent. That is particularly unusual, especially for a starting QB. He marches to the beat of a different drummer than the "typical" NFL player. Why assign the logic and motivations of the typical player?  Doesn't make sense to me. Nobody in the organization, including Jackson, seems to have any serious concerns with the situation.

“He is a unique cat, and what are you going to do with a guy who wants to be unique?” Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said at the NFL league meetings in March. "You don't browbeat him into being a conformist.

So if I was a Raven's fan I wouldn't be all that stressed out, at the moment. Everyone is saying the right things and nobody involved (as far as I can see) is fretting over the contract negotiation at the moment.

Odell Beckham took his salary in Bitcoin a few years back.

Prior to the recent Superbowl, they said that due to the BTC volatility, Beckham was playing the 2021 season for about $37,000. Ouch.

It is my understanding all NFL salaries are paid in US dollars.  Period.  One cannot be "paid in bitcoin". One can have it converted to bitcoin if they wish. But the NFL doesn't provide for the option.

For starters, no, Odell Beckham Jr. isn’t *technically* being paid in Bitcoin.

The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiated between the NFL & its players’ association does not currently allow NFL teams to pay their players in Bitcoin directly — the only options are direct deposit or physical check

It's kinda like when the Honda Civic guy is swearing it's a faster/better car than a corvette.

Can you even get mad? Nah just chuckle.

Definitely not faster. Better is an opinion and is based on purpose. I'd never own a Corvette, but would consider a Civic, I suppose. A Civic is a FAR better car for gas mileage and for transporting 4 people. No?

And it is true the Browns have been a clown show during Baker's stint there. But IMO, Baker is one of the head clowns in that show.  Yes it would be a clown show without Baker, but it is a much more robust clown show with him.

It is BRUTAL right now. And that’s from someone who likes summer. We were supposed to see Steely Dan at Chastain Park Amphitheater tonight, but the wife is in NYC so tix went to friends. Wife currently trying to get earlier flight, but we will NOT be asking for the tix back and the right to sit outside in this heat.

As for this thread, sure, I’d love the uproar that would come with a first round running back! That’s always entertaining to consider! The outrage is hysterical!

Actually the weather for the concert was tolerable  (and this from someone who can't take high temps) because the humidity wasn't that high. And the water. And the booze. And the music.

I'm guessing should the Bills win the SB and have the 32nd pick, they will trade it for multiple draft picks

Yeah, man.  I agree.  It was brutal.  Whenever the topic comes up, I try to point out that the guy was squeaky clean for his entire career minus that hit.  I'm sure we all wish he was more apologetic (publicly), but I still can't define the guy based on one VERY bad decision.  Tre coming out of it unhurt is the most important thing.  Like you said ... it could have been tragic.

You are 100% certain this is the ONLY blemish on Gronk's resume?

IMO he acts like a frat boy well past the age where it is appropriate.
