  1. I'd vote for that referendum!
  2. Yes its the same guy that Howard had on, I first saw him on the Morgan Spurlock show on FX.
  3. Anyone else caught this feature on Sportscenter? I think its pretty cool although some of the states they've gone to they have had to strech to find a story - horseshoe tournament in Kansas? Looks like they'll be hitting the Empire state in a few days, does anyone think they'll actually pay any attention to Buffalo or will it all be focused on NYC?
  4. I have a hard time about deciding what Theisman moment makes me cringe more, the video of him breaking his leg or his announcing!!
  5. Yea like I said I was in total shock the more I read about this guy. I mean there's hate speech, and then there is this stuff, which is beyond anything I have ever heard before.
  6. I have recently become aware of the existence of a man named Fred Phelps, leader of the Westboro Baptist Church, which apparently is run in the basement of his compound in Kansas. I saw him briefly interviewed in the new show 30 Days because he is a major, major anti-gay proponent. Now, I'm not here to start a debate about gay rights or anything, but if you guys are not aware of this man's viewpoints then I'd like to make a few of them available. Let me just state that after reading these quotes I was sick, sick to my stomach knowing that these came from an American, a Kansas born and raised middle American. This group of individuals, who don't even deserve to be called human beings let alone Americans are beyond description of any kind. On the Sept 11th attacks- Phelps' group went to New York City to protest the rescue efforts going on there, mocking victims as they were taken from the rubble, shouting obscenities at rescue workers, and demanding that those still alive be left to die. Phelps reasoned that God had caused the terrorist attacks as a punishment for tolerance of homosexuality, and that it was God's will that those who suffered in the attacks should die. Signs carried at the Ground Zero site included, "THANK GOD FOR SEPT. 11", "FDNY SIN (with a picture of stick-figures engaged in anal sex)", "NYPD FAGS (with a picture of stick-figures engaged in anal sex)", "YOUR PENTAGON IS SQUARE", and "TOWERS CRASH, GOD LAUGHS". On his support of Saddam - In 1997, before the fall of Saddam Hussein during the Iraq War, Phelps wrote him a letter praising his regime, and received special permission from the Iraqi government to send a group of his children to Baghdad to protest against the American government. Hussein granted permission, and a group of WBC congregants traveled to Iraq to protest against the U.S. The parishoners stood on the streets of Baghdad and in heavily patronized Baghdad establishments holding signs reading: GO HOME (with a cartoon of Bill Clinton) BABY KILLER (with a cartoon of Hillary Clinton) BABY KILLER (with a cartoon of Bill Clinton) FAG GORE FAG USA= SODOM STOP THE HOLOCAUST (in reference to Phelps' "Topeka Baptist Holocaust" campaign) FAG USA (with a picture of an inverted, burning American flag) USA SIN (with a picture of anatomically incorrect stick figures engaged in anal sex) Phelps mourned the fall of Hussein's regime and has consistently criticized the invasion of Iraq, citing, "IRAQ=USA=SODOM" and keeping a toll on his webpage celebrating the death of every American soldier killed and pronouncing loyalty to Iraq. That's justa few and while hopefully this guy's views are not being spread about too widely, I just though some people might want to know about it. There's a lot more to read on him and his "cult" Fred Phelps
  7. "It's been well documented", if by random speculation on TBD, then yea I would say its well documented.
  8. The NFL has pretty much confirmed that their new marquee game each week is going to be on Sunday Nights over on NBC, this proves it. Al Michaels is probably one of the great pla by play men of his time, mainly because of his versatility being able to cover every single sport, but Joe Theisman?!! God, I hoped to all in the world that they would find someone else besides Joe "I chganged my name to rhyme with Heisman". Seriuosly, gimme a break, they could easily give another guy a shot at the Monday night color slot, like Schlereth or Jaws or, my god anyone!!!!
  9. Well you know when you see the weather reports online and it says the temp, but then it says "feels like". The difference here in AZ is that the actual temp and the "feels like" temp are always the same. In humid weather, like NorthEast or down South, the "feels like" temp is much higher than the actual temp onna humid hot day.
  10. While this may seem like a hard decision to make, its really not. Your friend should understand that the cost of going to a destination is unreasonable and is too much of a burden for you and the rest of his friends. I have never had anyone pull something like that. He should know that such an act is alienating his friends.
  11. I'm in Arizona so do the math. I just tell everyone that I can deal with 2-3 months of extreme heat, which here is pretty much the same, if not better, than any 85-90 degree day with high humidity in the South of the North East. Being able to put up with that for 2-3 months is so much worth it when everyone I know back East is dealing with below freezing temps, icy roads and having to shovel snow off their cars.
  12. Do we know the guy as actually a Bills fan? I know he was born in Buffalo but he moved away when he was just in the second grade and I haven't heard him mention anything having to do with the Bills.
  13. In our hearts we did but I wont be satisfied until we do it for real.
  14. Ok, we all know we haven't made the playoffs since 1999. But did you know only 6 teams have not made the playoffs in the 2000s? And of those 6 teams only 2 have a longer drought than the Bills? Arizona Cardinals - 1998 Buffalo Bills - 1999 Cincinnati Bengals - 1990 Detroit Lions - 1999 Jacksonville Jaguars - 1999 Washington redskins - 1999 I knew it was bad but when I think of that group, I just get really depressed about being a Bills fan!
  15. Ok, I'm a bit aloof, but what exactly is tag up offsides?
  16. Fair assessment. They gave us some props at least by predicting we finish second in the division.
  17. They were doing the countdown segment at the end of the show where Trey Wingo asks Sean Salisbury a few question in one minute. The dumbest damn question was "Can the Jets now take over the AFC East lead from the Pats?" Luckily Salisbury correctly pointed out that the Bills were just as muhc a contender as anyone else in that division and too many people are overlooking them. No respect!
  18. Dude, the guy had a stroke, cut him some slack!!
  19. You have to have a great deal of respect for Moulds, as a player. While guys like Javon Walker and Terrell Owens are holding out for massive pay raises, Moulds has taken a pay cut the past 2 years to stay with the Bills. He obviously knew he had a good thing going here in Buffalo and wanted to stick around and didnt want to mess around trying to land a free agent deal.
  20. I'm trying not to be a jackass about this because he does play for a our rival, but him sitting out is the best thing, for everyone. Think about it, he's what 31, 32, has a wife, kids, imagine if he gets hurt and suffered a brain anuerysm or something, what about his family after that. He's won 3 Super Bowls, made millions of dollars and has left his legacy on his team and the league. He could retirte now and nobody would fault him. He wont reitre, but he could.
  21. They should seriuosly think about cutting the season down by like 10-15 games. Eliminate a lot of those interconference games and just have an east team play a west team once a year, but have them play every team. I think if they did that they could put more focus on games within the conference.
  22. Certainly gives us some perspective. This seems like something I'd hear from merril Hoge.
  23. lets focus on training camp first
