  1. I agree these guys seem just what the doctor ordered. In 100% for another season. I've drank the cool aide and I like it!
  2. I couldn't watch the game, and couldnt get it on the radio. My last update was just after the Spiller fumble. Can someone please give me an update as to what in the H$LL happened? Was looking so promising! Please no smart a$$ comments, I already feel bad enough. I know we got pummeled but what changed?
  3. I agree they are going to test our LB's. HIt the recievers at the line to gain that extra second and watch Darius and Mario break through. Several great plays last night where Brady had no real options and took a hit. Quick off the line put the Oline back to the pocket and crushed him. If we give him too many slants and middles he could dissect us with a quick release so we need speed up front. We have it, just need to keep the pedal down, unlike the middle of the Cleveland game. Only listening on the radio broadcast but could hear it in the crowd and in the 3 and outs for almost 2 quarters. They will need 4Q of full throttle. Fitz I think knows what he is, and with this Oline he has the time to think, process, and execute. If he can manage the game like he has been I see a win! Jets suck Go Bills!!!!
  4. Its easy to say just cave, its only 2.5 million. Thats every year, with a raise added to that which quickly rises to 3m a year, and before you know it it's real money. Just caving sets a real bad precedent for every other bargaining group. I find it hard to believe that the replacement refs cant catch up to the regular refs skillset fairly quickly. Either way my opinion and everyone else's doesnt really matter as the lawyers will make the decisions in the end.
  5. I agree, it does start with the players. Should be managed by the coaching staff and ownership. Its not up to the refs to teach safely but to only enforce the rules, and enforce them correctly. The media is really playing this up as a typical greedy league and ownership thing, and that the players and managers are totally innocent. The whole thing is disgusting to me.
  6. You cant blame the league for running a wildly successful business. Young makes a good point, but it appears that everyone is after all of the money, not just the league. Player lawsuits, agents, municipalities, State Governments all want a piece. If the fans are willing to pay, via PSL's, TV, Games , Shirts etc then keep selling adn selling until something changes. As for the refs, I really have a problem with them basically saying the league has all this cash, and we want more just on the basis the league has it. Are they doing anything more than they did last season or the season before? Dont know about any of you, but in the world I live in raises, bonuses etc have been non existent for quite some time. Actually things have gone backwards so what entitles the refs to more? Many of these part-timers make significant dollars into the six figures. I agree with the league on this one. The refs are trying to strong-arm for the cash and its easy to say its only a few million so why is it an issue. Its a money grab for everyone involved. Players, Managers, owners, refs, vendors and they all want their fair share-which is way more than they are entitled to. We will be the ones eventually paying for eveyones unrealistic demands. Also are the replacement refs incapable of learning the game? From what I read on this board and many others you could probably pull hundreds of people who know the game and its rules as good as the regular refs and put them out there on the field. After a while no one would really know the difference. Its experience and the ability to learn that makes refs good, not some magical ability. GIve these guys some time and I think they will get the job done until and if the regular refs get back. We cant complain about the costs of things too much and the underlying greed, because the only ones who can really change things are the people paying the freight-THE FANS!
  7. I agree lets focus on the next game, then the one after that. NE is beatable but I worry about our secondary getting sliced up so hope they go to school on yesterdays game. I think Fitz played well yesterday comparatively speaking. No big mistakes other than two bad throws. I think changing his mechanics has alot to do with that, and it takes some real game pressure to put what you learn into practice. D played solid and well CJ was off the charts. I think we take at least 3 of the next 5, and maybe 4. Eternal optimism! GO BILLS!!!
  8. I agree, tough game to watch but the real team will be there for the home opener.
  9. I think we need to realize the Pickmagic will show up 3 or 4 games a year and hopefully FItzmagic will show up the remainder. What we need is the D to cover on those 3 or 4 games to give us a chance. It always appears that the first 2 1/2 quarters of those games are the worst and then FItz and the rest of the team shows up. I really think the D will play better over the next 2 games, giving us something to lean on for NE and SanFran. Good players dont all of sudden tank coming to the Bills, contrary to opinion for the rest of the country. Its one game, it was ugly beyond belief, but we learned something here too. Secondary was way off the ball in space giving Sanchez options and time, while there was no pressure on the corners. Why I dont know-game plan, jitters, bad mojo whatever. As long as the players and coaches learn then it wont happen again. Lots of football left in the season and we are what we are. I recall Brady throwing 4 picks last season. Happens to some of the best. Im not giving up on the season quite just yet.
  10. The game is sold out, as I live right in the heart of it. On ESPN radio the other evening they were discussing the Jets Bills game and the conclusion was this is an automatic win for the Jets for no other reason than its the Bills. They discussed all the garbage being said as distractions for the next weeks. Disgusting! I hope they are looking past us a bit, and get a good taste of it when Sanchez and Tebow are both eating dirt and spitting blood! Its unreal down here with the hype!
  11. I think our defense really comes alive with game one and all the adrenaline. We have been killed last few seasons by the jets, and I think we get our Mojo going like the second half of the Pats game last year. We show the league what our front D-Line is made of, and put tons of pressure on Sanchez and Tebow. We are prepared for the Wildcat, and I think Chan has really held back in Preseason to keep the No Respect vibe going and keeping the team hungry, and the league wondering. Some of our weak secondary shows, but we have the ability to outscore if Fitzy is even decent, which I believe he will be much better than that. Our O-line has some concerns but hold their own and give Freddy AND CJ time and space to break some long runs. Bills 24 Jets 13
  12. Think you're right on point Bill. For me something about this season feels right though, so I'm way more optimistic than I have been in a long time. Its tough being a BIlls fan down here by NYC, with all of the trash talking and 24/7 Jets hype. Can't wait to punish them week 1 and shut 'em all up! Go BIlls!!!
