  1. that was a dirty play that took him out it wasn't unfortunate
  2. EXACTLY. Far too often he ignores easy completions to throw into tight coverage. I mean, there's a time and a place for that, but from your own 10 to miss 3...not 1, not 2, but 3 open short pass receivers to go for a well-covered one is just inexcusable
  3. this is a horrendous idea. no offense.
  4. Allen's career could just as easily be wasted by another guy. There are no sure things. Generally, I'm pro ousting McDermott. I'm DEFINITELY wanting a change at GM. But the ONLY way I want it to happen is that the GM is hired first and THAT guy picks the HC.
  5. I honestly believe that people really believe it can only be better.
  6. I haven't lived in Buffalo since the 1980s But thanks for the advice, Andy, I'll put it in the proper place.
  7. I'm not entirely certain I'm opposed to that even. Watched a lot of film reviews this year and the number of wide open guys he just doesn't see is somewhat disturbing. If the haul was good enough, all options should be on the table. Cap hell is real on this team, and the only real way out of it short of a three-year run of absolute mediocrity like this year is a teardown.
  8. Honestly, I think Beane should go before McDermott based on the Von Miller addition alone. I'm OK with both of them going, so long as Pegula hires a GM FIRST and allows HIM to make the decision. My number one prime concern with this whole thing is that we end up with Rex/Rob Ryan part deux. Sorry, just don't want ANY part of that clown shoes
  9. OK fine, it's obvious you're too emotional to even consider that Terry Pegula, who's a KNOWN coach-hire bungler across two organizations might ***** the duck in the process and stick a fork in an outlet. But don't for one moment pretend it can't get worse. It can. I'm for moving on, by the way, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend it'll be rose petals and champagne.
  10. not saying that at all But let's throw a hypothetical out there. Pegula gets it and fires McDermott and/or Beane. Hires a coach who turns out to be just as bad or worse. Do you believe he's going to fire the new guy after a season or two? It may not be a popular question, but it's a question that should be asked.
  11. And sometimes they are. That's the problem.
  12. That whole team is full of scumbags. We need an enforcer on each side of the ball for those situations. See: incognito, Richie
  13. Don't care. They need to figure out a way to make that happen, he's dead weight at this point
  14. I keep telling people he's washed. Brandon Beane's career will likely die because of that error. What a waste. Yes, well, that would be ideal. But I don't trust Pegula to pull the trigger. He's gutless.
  15. That's the sandwich. I think they have to eat it. If they're paying it either way, I'd rather have a young guy in that spot who can actually contribute.
  16. numbers and eye-test don't match once again. He was electric in weeks 2,3,4,5. Was not in 1,6,7,8 and 9. Think the numbers are skewed by the 4 good weeks.
  17. Von Miller Tre White Dawson Knox In my eyes, you can do one of three things: 1) Ride them out, be mediocre because you don't have any cap space to work with, pray to God you get some kind of production out of them 2) Burn them all after this season, eat the same cap ***** sandwich and emerge in a much healthier place in 2025 3) Cut two of three of them, triage-style, still eat the cap ***** sandwich and be better off in 2025 Are there any other options out there? I'm happy to hear them.
  18. Exactemente. This team is *****. Short-and-medium term *****. It would probably be better to blow it up and start from scratch than gimp through a defensive rebuild, take a 3-4 win season next year and emerge in 2025 in a much more tenable position.
  19. Odd that the Chiefs haven't had a down season in the time that mahomes has been there
