  1. I live 15 miles from Central Michigan University (and will be moving to Rochester NY in Jan.), so I have had a lot of exposure to LeFevour. The kid is a great athelete, but he would be a 2-3 yr project to start in the NFL. Do the Bills have 2 or 3 yrs to groom him? No not really - but it would be a well invested very late 2nd or early 3rd round pick. I also lived in outside Louisville KY from 2002 to 2004 and had exposure to Brhom, and I think he should be given some game experience now, and see how he can handle defences of teams fighting for a playoff spot. TE and RF are not the answer for QB, I would feel even better if they resigned JP. The Bills have an awful lot of holes to fill in the coming season, and if new management/coaching is willing to spend 2 years building the team, then Lefevour/Brohm is a good start at QB, and possibly focus on OL. Nelson appears to be a good fit at tight end, I think Harvey and Johnson are potentially a good recieving tandem with Reed and Evans. Lynch should go for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. LB needs much more depth, the secondary and DL look fine.
  2. I would be very happy to see him backwith The Bills, there is no doubt in my mind, that coaching and offfensive corridination were among the worst regiems in NFL history while he was here. I would bet he ends up on a NFL roaster before this season completes
  3. I stand corrected, Fergy belongs above Fluti, Lamonica- no, his career outside Buffalo does not matter to BB history
  4. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-top-...utie-vs-Johnson http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-top-...utie-vs-Johnson There is no doubt in my mind, the BB win if Fluti plays that game, is the 3rd greatest QB in team history behind Kelly & Kemp
  5. DJ does not have TO calm, TO has himself in check. He is well aware that 32 general managers are watching, a GM or coach cannot fault hislow numbers in the current offence configutaion. If TO still managers to get 1000 yds and 8 - 9 TD's he hits payday on the next contract, if his numbers continue as theyarenow- he still signs a 1 year contract around 5 millin with someone new - providing he does not become a disruption. Do not forget - the NFL/NHL/NBA/MBL etc. are a bussiness, very few players can sell themselves on what they did 2 years ago, so playing therole of keeping his mouth shut only works to his advantage.
  6. I am used to taking lighters to concerts, and holding them alit to encourage the band to return to thestage for an encore, why the hell would I want them to retake the stage for another couple of dumb-ass plays? Then again, if only the Bills retake the stage, and the opposition stays in the locker room, maybe, just maybe they could convert a 3rd down, more than likely they get flagged for an illegal formation
  7. Any year, if Buffalo ends up 2-14, and both wins are against Miami, it has been a GREAT SEASON. I remember when they broke to 20 game losing streak, I was in my second year at SUNY@Alfred, my friend Andy and I were drinking Tanquaray and tonic – the celebration lasted well into the wee hours of the morning http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxs...98009070buf.htm Back in 1995 my wife and I were looking for a new vehicle, I stop at this car dealership, and I am looking at Blazers and Jimmy’s – the salesman shops me this Miami Teal Blazer, low mileage, great shape good price – the color repulsed me, I never even told my wife about the damn thing. We bought a navy blue Jimmy at another lot a couple of days later. Over the years, I have respected many Dolphin players because they were good athletes, but I have always hated them as a team. I even dislike the Halloween season because of the colors I took me 5 or 6 years to forgive Thurman Thomas for signing with the fish. Tomorrow would be a great day to start a winning streak LETS GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Jim Kelly lobbied for years to have Tasker play receiver full time, and when he did play WR he made plays. I would bet that Taskers ratio of TD to catch is best among Buffalo Players with more than 10 receptions.
  9. I would like to see George Wilson returning punts, and let him and Steve Johnson return kicks, Really do not want to see Freddie on the field for special teams - he is way to valuable to the starting O
  10. And the Bills have signed the following to 1 game contracts: Butch Byrd Fred Smerles Cornellius Bennent Bryc Paup Tony Greene Ron McDole
  11. One of the earlier posts on this thread, mentioned a team willing to give him a shot. Well Buffalo has done that - and successfully converted him to a Safety. I agree he played well, when given the chance but that was in pass defence. He is still weak supporting the run, and that will improve with experience. With Donte and Scott starting, and the Bills wanting to see more of Byrd (To evaluate), Wilson will see more snaps as the season continues or because of injury. With the trade of "I am worth Millions" to the Lions - it reflected the Bills confidance in George Wilson. He signed a 1 year contract in April. My bet is he is with the Bills next year. I also look to see him returning punts if something happenss with Roscoe. George is no speed demon, but his experience as a reciever (and also evident on the few INT returns he has had), is that he sees the field well. He would be effective the same way that Steve Tasker was. He has been on the field for special teams, and so far has 2 solo tackles, but has also drawn double coverage as a gunner
  12. We would have won Superbowl 25, if someone had tackled Mark Ingram From USA Today: B 32 3–13 Hostetler 14 pass to Ingram middle (caught at B 26, then broke two tackles) (J. Williams). From Wikipedia: Ingram was drafted by the Giants in the first round (28th overall) in the 1987 NFL Draft. He is probably best known for a third down play in Super Bowl XXV in which he eluded at least five Buffalo Bills defenders to achieve a critical first down for the Giants to sustain a long touchdown drive.
  13. I was born in 61, my mom taught me my 1st 2 words - LOU (as in saben) and BILLS
  14. Steve Tasker- I have not seen consistant pressure on the punter, I do not see another gunner getting tripled teamed, and still make the first hit And maybe a few more big plays carries #89 to the HOF
  15. 1@ New England WIN 2 Tampa Bay WIN 3 New Orleans WIN 4 @ Miami LOSS 5 Cleveland Win 6 @ NY Jets Loss 7 @ Carolina WIN 8 Houston WIN 9 BYE 10 @ Tennessee LOSS 11 @ Jacksonville WIN 12 Miami WIN 13 NY Jets WIN 14 @ Kansas City WIN 15 New England LOSS 16 @ Atlanta LOSS 17 Indianapolis WIN 11-5
  16. TO history: 1st year-great, 2nd year very good, 3rd year distraction. TO has never ever been a locker room leader, he leads by example in only one way - conditioning. TO is smart - he still understands it take 30-33 individuals to build a champion in todays NFL. IF - big IF, the Bills playoff and advanced does TO re-sign with less $ than the Bills will offer. He was exposed to the hype of this HOF weekend. The team of the super bowl years is still very active in activities with the Bills, does TO absorb and blend- the season will tell. Does TO change to a TEAM LEADER? I bet a BUFFALO NICKLE thata few old timers talked to him this weekend, #12, #34, #78, #80, and gave him their opinion of the city and franchise. TO can also look atthe players the fans - justifiably so ran out of town - no matter how good they were on the field - The Henery's, MacGehees, etc He will look up between huddles at that the names on the Wall of Fame, and if he his the player he promotes himself to be the player he thinks he is - then ONE name will make or break him - it is US - we of the 12th Man. TO - will help us make the playoff's, he may very well help us advance - but TO only does that 1 way: Every game is game 1 of the season, every game is the last game, EVERY PLAY COUNTS. TO will go to the HOF - What TO needs to solidify is going on !st Ballot to Join #34, #78, #12 TO has my vote, and my encouragement - to set his record straight, or mybe a curl hook across the middle to pick up the 1st down and move the chains
  17. Moving the Chains is huge - if you look at Josh Reed's numbers of catcha to first downs - it is an awsome ratio. He runs the routes, snags the ball and it is a firstand 10. that importance will only be magnified with 2 deep threats ond RB swing offs. He is a legimat theart, that will spread the opposing LB thin My guess, would be 65-70 receptions and close to 45-48 firstdowns I don't see Parish's name anywhere in either of those.
  18. I really like our young receivers - especially Steve Johnson, Having TO will open things up, but I would like to see the Bills sign Harrison. Can you imagine running the no-huddle with 4 WR - Marvin, TO, Evans, & Reed - or lining up TO as TE with both Jackson & Lynch in the backfield Evans wide, Reed Slot and Marvin split - if you are calling the defensive play would your head spin?
  19. I stand by my post - In the ring - when blood is drawn the referee has the option to stop the fight. For the record I played organized soccer for almost 30 yrs, Wrested high school for 4 yrs, played Hockey for 12 yrs - organized and pond, Lacross was 2 years, I dove 1 metre for 4 years. He trained dogs to maim and kill - and when they did not perform - he executed them. I want to thank you all for the support - the people who want to attack my integrity with one-line shots - thatis a daily dodge . If the Bills bring him for an interview- There will be a lot of Red and Blue thategts put into the fire !
  20. I reponded to an earlier post- but this is so damn impotant to me - I wanted to open a new post First the first 2 words my mother taught me was "Lou" as in Saban, and "Bills" in the early 60s. mom also got me a puppy and she was with me for 12 years. As much as I love the Bills, Jack Kemp never woke me when my smoke detector went off, Jim Kelly never came over and licked my face after a bad day at work, Joe D. never let the hair stand up on the back of his neck - if someone unknown approached me or my family. I have probably have had a 100 dogs in my life and touch my life (mine, my brothers, mt nephwews, my kids, and mt friends, and many of them have had to wear a Bills Bandana around thir necks on Sunday Sept. through the last game of the season - in good seasons (way to few) and bad seasons. I am loyal to my teams (Bills, Sabres, Blue Jays & Cubs) as my dogs are loyal to me and my loved ones. If the Bills even bring Vick in for a work out - I would burn all of my Bills belongings, this world is filled with natural tragady and disspair - why would I watch to be enternained by a person who thrived on intentionaly wanted see non-repairable physical and mental damage to innocent dogs. And if they did not perform - strangle them, drown them, beat them. I would guess the retrospect would be - Interception - 2,000 volts to your testicals Mike, Loss game = cigarette burns on your neck, Blown read at the line = public flogging. Lost Super Bowl - Death by Hanging in public square. Guess if that was the case - the Bills only go to 1 super bowl. RIP: Missy, Brandi, Scoop, Lucky, Tasker, Butkis, Kelpie And a keep barking and protecting: Rocker, Harley, Dakatoa, Kona, Christie, Sheba, Buddy, Pudge, Ozzy, and Max - and if Mike Vick shows up - lift your leg up and PISS ON him and bite his nuts chas_rocker@yahoo.com Geez and fans talk about TO being a distraction- Chas_Rocker shakes his head

  22. Wel said by Kelsay, the whole off season reading how we need another WR had me confused. Josh Reed is a great slot receiver - look at his recetion to 1stdown percentage. Hardy will pan out witha season under his belt. But thekid I reallylike is Steve Johnson- he has all the tools. Adding TO will open the offense up, but I feel we really have other needs, TO did come in at a good price and no loss of a draft pick - Can Edwards get the ball downfield to him and Evans?. Another DE and another LB. Our LB corps is small and fast - I really think going to a 3 -4 would be a great Idea, That way John DiG is on the field more often. and we need another tight end, Derek Fine looks as though he could be a 35-40 catch TE, but does not really help with spreading the defence.
  23. This will go back to a postI made when he reported to the team last year. Jason was an undrafted TE, the following year he was converted to LT, The following year the team thattook a risk on him - went to the table and signed him to a more lucrative contract. And then he made the pro-bowl because of his exceptional play- and then holds out on the team that took a risk - whata wonderful payback. As I said in my post lastAug. - trade him for a 4th round pick. If I am his team mate - I want to be the DE lined up across from him - just so I could trash talk his fatass and spit on his hand. The Bills risked on him, and rewarded him - why did he turn out to be a pro-bowl selection, because the team asked him to change psoitions, he attened every function, the coaches worked with him - and his team mates worked with him. He made the pro-bowl this year on a name - his play sucked at times, and he gave up way to many hits and hurries, had he been in training camp - HONORING the signed contract - we would have seen a different player, possibly 2-3 more W's in the column that counts. I played a lot of sports in my life including soccer for 30 years - it is a team game. In my career construction engineering - I have to block, I have to catch, I have to run, and I have to dive on the loose ball and get my kidneys smashed doing it, and when I getback to the huddle in the conference room - we high 5 - I play as a team mate, I play for my boss - who pays me, who took a risk when he hired me. Last year my boss asked me in my review- what do you feel is fair, I answered 7%, 3% costof living 4 % on merit. His reply was 15%- you did a good job and put the team before yourself. As draft day looms, now trade Jason for a second round pick - but please trade him to an AFC East Team, let him go take his self rightous attitude and cause disent and distraction within our division.
