  1. Why would you develop EJ if you didn't want him to start? Does Doug Whaley's reluctance to sign Orton in the offseason play any part in your judgments?
  2. Whaley ran his HC interviews by talking to coaches about reclaiming EJM. See above.
  3. How do you pick Rex as the coach? Unbelievable.
  4. What I posed to you makes no sense. Pettine didn't blink at a guy who didn't know the playbook, but benched him because of a lie? Even if that's true, he's a moron.
  5. You remind me of a young Walt Whitman. Wowzer, Rex wanted a good RB, and one came falling out of the sky with Rex in the room. Rex wanted Harvin, and was the entire reason Harvin signed here. Incredible. The GM signed a player who wanted to play for Rex Ryan. Truly revolutionary. Whaley also just managed to sign a guy who was sitting on his couch for a year. Unbelievable! The sheer talent to pull something like that off!
  6. "Rex is impossible to predict what he really means." "I bet this is what Rex thinks."
  7. Barely any difference there. No idea why there's a discrepancy in interviews.
  8. Will that new team ever make the playoffs?
  9. That'd be a weird bet considering Johnny started the week before his bye, and was the assumed starter going into the week after the bye. So Mike Pettine starts his QB when he doesn't know the playbook, doesn't show up to practice and his alcohol habits are affecting his play, but once he tells a lie, he gets yanked? That's insanity.
  10. What was he supposed to do? Keep Fred to make M&T happy?
  11. So they may fire him? Thanks for agreeing. Most likely though, he'll be czar-ed and demoted.
  12. They may fire him for not making the playoffs. That will be the final straw. He used his second chance on Fred.
  13. Is there a team that has a losing record when they rush for 130 or more?
  14. Why? Because they didn't fire him in the beginning of TC means they're enamored with him? Second-chances don't extend forever. I swear, the mental gymnastics some of y'all go through.
  15. Or the Pegulas gave him a Mulligan and showed "outward unity."
  16. According to the criminal, he's innocent. Hopefully he goes to the Pats. He could be voted the best paper GM of all time, and they'll miss the playoffs for his entire tenure
  17. Making Johnny cross his heart and hope to die that he wouldn't go out was the reason he lied. If Pettine spent half as much time trying to fix his vaunted defense that he did trying to rein in Johnny's bye week activities, maybe he wouldn't be a dead man walking. JFF is an adult, and he can have a drink on his off-week. No reason for Pettine to start meddling. If he performs on the field, shows up to every practice, knows the playbook, and his drinking isn't affecting his performance, why make a big deal out of it?
  18. No you're not. You said he said "let him walk." He didn't. He says if he proves it in 2016, he'd write him a blank cheque. If he doesn't. we'd have a drafted guy in the 2nd as insurance. I wonder how you can see my posts when you said I'm on your ignore list.
  19. He said play him through 2016. Do you read posts or do you just have a Mad Libs "This Team is the Best and the Fans Are The Worst?"
  20. Most likely. Pretty big echo chamber in this here topic. I hope we don't see any tears if Whaley is canned.
  21. Oh no! Who will be a Jets captain now?
  22. Agreed. I don't know if some folks realize how lucky we were to have Darby turn out to be so great. McKelvin can play, but we may have been the #32 pass defense by a WIDE margin without two CB's having All-Pro years. Thanks.
