  1. Cromartie is the worst CB in the NFL. Take him off. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/11/does_jets_antonio_cromartie_rank_among_worst_free.html
  2. Pretty close.
  3. No. But some of the "substantial additions" are overblown.
  4. Would you say Percy Harvin was a substantial addition to the Bills? Nah, because he got hurt and is a non-factor. Same with Cromartie and Leonard Williams.
  5. That's my point. They may have some positives, but "righting the ship" takes more than having some good draft choices who look promising. If it takes years to see it, then we don't know yet. Many folks could and were saying Pegs had nailed the Bills and made all the right moves back in August. Now look at us.
  6. Sounds just like the Bills. "Lots of talent on the team" with a horrific record. If you can't see the Pegulas have righted the ship for the Bills, then you suffer from myopia. Yes they did. We had "We should've hired Schwartz" topics for at least a month. Don't rationalize the Pegulas mistakes by saying everyone else was also on board. They blew it. Big time. And certain folks thought he'd instill his system even though it wouldn't fit, and that the defense would take a step back. No one predicted they'd be this horrific though. I guess that's something.
  7. Cromartie has been horrific this year. And Revis has lost a step. Revis is not the best in the league. Leonard Williams is seeing how many snaps per game?
  8. He did. Read the article. Doesn't mean he "called the shots," which is what you said for some reason.
  9. I never said he called the shots. Some of y'all need to read more and defend the Great Wall of Whaley less.
  10. Seconded. Nevertheless Whaley was taken by how parallel Ryan’s approach to winning in the NFL was to his own principles of developing a perennial contender. “For me his philosophy on how to build a championship team, a consistent championship team is exactly the way I think a team should be built,” said Whaley. “It’s proven. This past postseason everybody was talking about the conference championship games and the four quarterbacks in there were unbelievable quarterbacks, but the common theme in both of those games was the running game. A running game and a defense is a quarterback’s best friend. And those types of teams consistently compete for championships. “I knew when he started talking about how he wanted to build a team and I could complete his sentences and he could complete mine in how we want the Buffalo Bills to look we were on the same page.” http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/How-the-Bills-decided-on-Rex-Ryan-as-head-coach/19b740de-0ca3-4dd6-8fdc-58c0cf013fa2 Completing each others sentences. Adorable. “He came in and really elevated himself to the top position where we said, ‘Hey we’ve got to have another talk with this guy,’” said Kim Pegula of Ryan. “It was funny because at the start of the process Kim and Terry asked me who my favorite was and I said, ‘You can’t go in with any preconceived notions of what you want and what you like. You’ve got to go in with an open mind so you don’t have any biases,’” said Whaley. “And at that point Kim said, ‘Well then how do you know?’ I said, ‘Unfortunately it’s like when I asked people who were married and I was single. How do you know? You just know.’ And when we got to that point we all looked at each other and knew that Rex was the guy who we wanted to be our next head coach.”
  11. You're just lashing out. Don't worry, there's always 2017.
  12. His job description also includes advising the Pegulas on who to hire. And he was for Rex.
  13. So your contention is that Whaley is a yes-man and if he had on-the-field concerns, he kept them to himself?
  14. He had Rex on his list of HC candidates. He told the Pegulas he was in favor of the hire.
  15. Get your own thread.
  16. I guess I'll do it this week. Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 54m54 minutes ago Rex Ryan: "I thought we had a great week of practice. ... We did a poor job of executing." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 53m53 minutes ago Ryan: "As bad as it was -- and it doesn't get much worse than this -- but it's not a lack of effort." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 52m52 minutes ago Ryan says there "could be drastic changes." Said he told the players, too. ... Shoots down report of discontent between GM/coaches. Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 50m50 minutes ago Ryan: "Any time you don't reach your expectations, you've got to look deep. ... Everything has to be looked at." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 49m49 minutes ago Ryan: "There's a good nucleus here. I thought we'd be good enough to make a playoff run. ... I feel personally responsible." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 30m30 minutes ago A frustrated Mario Williams spoke. On report that some in building didn't believe he was sick, he says he didn't know team had "insurgents." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 29m29 minutes ago Williams on if he would take pay cut to stay: "If this is the turnout... how does that even sound right?" Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 4m4 minutes ago Sammy Watkins: "If you're not going to do your job, cut him. It needs to be a business. We need some nasty coaches." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 4m4 minutes ago More Watkins: "If they're not doing their job, get them out of here. If I'm not doing my job, step to me, get me out of here." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 2m2 minutes ago Mario on Rex's "changes" comment: "Of course there's going to be changes. That's obvious. You just wait and see if your number's called." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 51s51 seconds ago Mario: "Are we going to have insurgents around? How old are we around here? I guess there's a bunch of younger people I didn't realize." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 30s31 seconds ago Mario criticized the #Bills subbing to match personnel: "If you're a bully on the field you don't let anything else dictate what you do." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 19s20 seconds ago Mario: "We're trying to switch men as they're coming out of the huddle. That's happened a few times in 10 years with me. A few times." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 42s43 seconds ago So does Mario even want to be in Buffalo next year? "I want to go wherever we can go and win. And I know we can win here. That's 100." Tyler Dunne ‏@TyDunne 44s44 seconds ago More Mario on next year: "Now, me personally, if I don't fit in the scheme, if it's just me and it's obvious it's just me, then so be it."
  17. I actually found an article that said the same. Curious. Yep.
  18. He liked the move. DW probably said, "Sammy is a playmaker and will be a huge factor on offense. He'll really help EJ out!" And RB was a fan of that turn of events. If you think the GM is making decisions based on how well they'll "market," he should be fired.
  19. Yes, so different from other QB's in passing situations, where you don't pressure them!
  20. Yes, a real good roster being taken to the woodshed by the Redskins.
  21. Only if Rex stays. With a 43 DC, we aren't rebuilding.
