  1. I disagree with that. I agree with Juror's assertion that blocking Obama's appointees will hurt them in the campaigns. Obama gets to ensure a Dem victory with his appointee choices.
  2. What is their duty, gator?
  3. The Senate's duty is to decide to consent or not. They are well within their rights to deny any candidate. Deal.
  4. I do think an element of "we can't criticize the Pegula's decisions because they bought the Bills," does exist. Wouldn't necessarily call that a PC thing, however.
  5. Or we could say "we don't know the extent of the cops involvement, but we do know for sure they were beaten on the floor and McCoy was throwing punches." Less fun that way, though.
  6. Where is the proof the cops were "fighting?' Even if McCoy says they started it, there's no hard proof. There is hard proof of the cops getting beaten on the floor.
  7. Do we have any evidence the cops did anything?
  8. Who is everyone? 5 sports reporters? http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/outkick-the-coverage/who-loves-cam-newton-the-most-012816 Name a QB who you feel is congruent to Newton who is white. Show the racial double standard. Didn't you just espouse how "everyone" hates Brady, an arrogant, cocky, white QB? Bingo. It's an argument that can't be proven or even indicated. But "everyone hates him." Who is Cam polarizing to? The guys who write articles, or the actual US? It's hardly scientific, but how many folks on this board are "polarized" by Newton? Citation needed. I will link this again. http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/outkick-the-coverage/who-loves-cam-newton-the-most-012816 Peyton Manning and Cam Newton act completely differently and are thus treated differently. There's not a single link to race, at all. You are looking to confirm your own world-view. "There must be racists who hate Cam even though I haven't seen one."
  9. That's the second time I've noticed you using this racial derogatory phrase. Please stop
  10. I don't really care, personally. If he's in an open relationship, it doesn't bother me. Not only has the Confederate flag been a hot button issue in recent years, but when is the last time you saw it in the Super Bowl? The media writes about race all the time because it sells. It's why they can write an artcile about one person in Carolina writing a nutty letter to Cam, and then prop it up as though a significant population of folks hates him because he's black. That's how you get clicks and headlines. It's nonsense and white noise used by the media to further generate things to talk about. They perpetuate themselves. And as long as the country has a love affair with allegations of racism, it will never go away.
  11. While I fear I'm overtaking this topic, how does the article lay it out neatly and clearly? What other racial "case" do they compare it to? What double standard do they even attempt to prove? As far as I know, and I am loath to reclick this "breaking story," the author lays out the accuser's case, and is bewildered that he knew nothing about it. He then plugs his own article on a racial double standard and attempts to link it to that, tangentially. I saw no lay out of the race card. But maybe I missed a paragraph.
  12. Can you think of a black superstar athlete on a retirement tour getting praised by the media, who are all conveniently forgetting a settled sexual assault allegation over 10 yeas old?
  13. That's gotta be a crime, no?
  14. What about their grandkids? Don't you care about them? What if Peyton's kids accidentally lose $100M on a shoddy investment? Then I'd bet Peyton would've wished he made a couple extra bucks. Let's dispel with the ruse. You dislike Peyton "shilling" because he's making more money than you believe he should. Too bad he doesn't have a care in the world about what you or I think about it. Make as much money as you can PM. Get to that $1B mark. Also, let's look at Peyton's charity work. You think he'd do all the charity he does if he wasn't also making money? Do the patients at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital really hate him making some extra dough?
  15. Due to your edit. The stock market is super volatile. Not really a safe investment. I'd say Papa's is way safer for a ROI. Do you believe that athletes have to believe in the "quality" of their shilled product? Do you think Marv and the gang really believed in Snickers as a quality candy bar way back when? Was that their motivation for the commercial? Are you trolling me right now? Go ahead and look at Papa's market share. Clearly somebody is enjoying enough of their food. "To each their own" indeed, unless you disagree with the market monster Bocce's, who can't even dominate a single poverty-stricken city.
  16. I commend you for your pizza integrity. Not enough fans today with the guts to stand up for athletes who don't promote national brands IMO. How much is Papa's worth compared to Bocce's? What's Bocce's national ad campaign looking like these days? Also, you don't really care about Peyton Manning? Do you have a habit of saying you dislike and hate players you don't care about? It's a thin line between love and hate, you know.
  17. Why? Because he's successfully invested in a company that brings in money? Making money makes him a dork? Peyton's PR management is world-class. That cannot be denied. You are offended that a Bills board hates the rival QB who has stomped on them for 15 years and likes the rival of said QB? What did you expect?
  18. Are you "offended" that Peyton owns some Papa John's franchises?
  19. Because no one disputes innocence or guilt.
  20. Link? Sounds like he couldn't have stayed if it made no sense. Sounds like he was given an offer he couldn't refuse.
  21. Piggy-backing on Rob for a second, I don't even care if folks who really feel that strongly are the ones advocating for his removal. Moreso, I care about the folks petitioning for his removal who do it to pander and due to a mob mentality. How many will still care about this in 2 weeks?
  22. Yeah, you're right. I got my articles mixed up. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2015/12/31/marios-swan-song-with-bills-is-near/
  23. Actually, now that I think about it, the "totally checked out" quote may not have been from a teammate.
