Definitely not. Hunt got flagged after his TD for making a half of a throat slash motion, and will certainly be fined this week. Cant even make a bow-and-arrow motion.

Would be funny if a player decided to see how far (or small) they could take it. Like maybe do a slingshot motion, see if that gets a fine. Throwing a paper airplane maybe?

Could be mistaken for a dart, which could take an eye out! Definitely a fine.

  2. I don't watch all of the Dolphins' games, but I do watch a lot of them. And just to give credit, where credit is due, this might have been the best I have seen Tua play. It feels weird even typing that, but I can't remember a game in which he was better at extending the play, and playing off script-- a trait that I have always felt was perhaps his greatest weakness. He seemed more relaxed out of the pocket than I think I have ever seen him.

I also watched his post-game presser, and like the other day when he said of Josh Allen, "I can't do half the things that guy does..." he also seemed utterly relaxed-- almost as if he had given up. And maybe that was the key? It seemed as if he just saw the inevitability of their busted season, and decided, "why worry about it? Just go out and play." Even that unfortunate interception at the end of the fourth didn't seem to rattle him much.

I've been observing for quite some time that there's a serious culture problem in Miami, and perhaps Tua has given up on caring, and that has lifted the pressure off his shoulders? I find myself secretly rooting for him, even if I can't stand the rest of the team, and don't much care for the fanbase. He seems like a genuinely likable guy. It would have been fun to see him play on a less dysfunctional team, but alas, I suspect that Miami is where his NFL career will end.

No we didn't quietly get better. In fact we got way worse !!

Our WR corp is non existent. Coleman was a no show.

Our only offense for poor Josh is Cook, Kincaid and the rookie Hawes.

Our WR room stinks at this point !

Three games in, Keon Coleman has a 77.7% completion rate, Kalil Shakir has 72.2%, Josh palmer 74.1%, and Josh Allen has targeted 10 different players in each game. Your negativity is really just becoming schtick at this point.

  4. Sanders played the most snaps of all our DTs, other than D. Jones, so there is certainly some faith in him from the coaching staff. And not for nothing, they were facing a QB who gets rid of the ball faster than any other QB in the league.

I agree with you on the spot on Josh's slide.  He was clearly past the 1st down marker in live time.  It was a terrible spot.  Terry McCauley in the NBC booth, (who usually sides with the refs) said it was clearly an erroneous spot.  Someone on the Bills sideline should have seen the initial replay (or even in live time) told McDermott to challenge.

For what it's worth, when Josh got up from that slide, it looked like he walked away, shaking his head, like he thought he had slid early.

  6. Media pundits are having a tough time handling the Chiefs not being dominant, or Mahomes not being the top QB.

It wasn't that long ago that conversations concerning the top QBs were centered around "who's the second best QB in the league..." because it was a given that Mahomes was the best. And pundits are finding it hard to get away from the narrative of, "Chiefs are the head of the class of the AFC until proven otherwise..."

When the Chiefs lost to Philly in the Super Bowl, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The Chiefs looked pedestrian. To my eyes, they've looked like the same team in the first two weeks of this season.

The morning guys on WGR said that they talked to a friend who does hospitality for the stadium and saw the team. Said they just don't seem happy or like they want to be there.

I fire ross now. I roll with McDaniel, I trade hill and anyone I can. Then fire him with picks for the new year.

To clarify: "the team," as in the Dolphins, or Bills?

I thought Rasul Douglas's interview was so telling about what kind of culture Beane and McDermott have built.

You can tell how sad he is not to still be with the team.  I feel for him and wish his game wouldn't of fell off so much.

There's a thinly-veiled dig in there, too. When asked about what has given Buffalo its success, he says, "... they have a good quarterback," and "they do things right over there..."

  9. It's really disturbing to me how everyone on here is just dismissing the Dolphins. They're going to come into this game super-motivated. Rumors have it that Bradley Chubb has called another "player's only" meeting, and this time they're not inviting any strippers. Also, it's been reported that McDaniel is taking "assertiveness training" so that he may "reign in accountability." Their bus driver has been told that under no circumstances shall he leave the bus idling in the parking lot. These guys are serious. Some Miami pundits have even suggested that the Dolphins' humiliating performances over the first two weeks have been intentionally self-inflicted in an effort to motivate them for this game. Don't sleep on the fishes!

Apples and oranges. I can't support some kid smacking opposing players in the head as they walk by. But, I fully support that girl giving #45 the stiff-arm as he's trying to jump into their stands.

It's probably been mentioned in the thread, but I wanted to chime in.  I'm watching a replay of the game as I await MNF.  Just got to the tipped-ball-TD with about 4:00-ish remaining.  Did anyone notice what he did after what was probably his trickiest and most challenging catch of the game?

He flipped the ball to a sideline guy and trotted back to the bench.  There was no showboating, no choreographed moves, no histrionics, no fireworks.  Just "Yeah, job done".

It was like Barry Sanders.  I just love this kid.  You doubters can keep up your service to this board and fan base.  Rock on.  I love this kid.

When we first drafted him, I started going over his college tape to get a bead on him. When he arrived at Florida State from Michigan, his very first catch as a Seminole went for a touchdown. That’s a pretty big deal, and all his teammates ran into the end zone to celebrate with him. As he was celebrating, out of the corner of his eye, he saw the ref approaching the ball. Keon stopped what he was doing, and quickly reached down for the ball, and handed it to the ref. It was just a small courtesy, but I thought it spoke volumes to his character. It was utterly second nature for him, but at such a huge moment in his life. He’s a guy you love to root for.

No, just my impression from the shots on  TV. Stuff like say flowers waving to the crowd on the sideline?

I wondered if it wasn't going both ways a bit more than usual? I didn't see it (I'll rewatch the game tonight), but apparently someone threw a drink at Henry on one of his TD runs.

I really don’t get why the ravens were so into taunting the crowd last night. It was super weird. All night long. I don’t think I have seen them do that to other teams before. It was like personal against our fans for some reason?

    Were you there?

  14. I feel like it's been pretty balanced, honestly (outside of Baltimore, anyway). Plenty of pundits giving the Bills, and Josh Allen especially, high praise. As it should be.

But, it's undeniable that the Ratbirds monumentally crapped the bed, and for that, they should, and have been roundly criticized. As it should be.
