Why would you say that? There’s very little evidence that a punt return is more dangerous than any other touch. Over the years, lots of teams have had their best players return punts…
I think Hairston's going to be a great CB-- but he ain't built for getting tackled!

I’d absolutely be up for having him return punts…
He'd get broken in half!

Miami rejoices.

Pretty good day in the league, so far.

I almost want the Dolphins to win this game. They need to have a mediocre, middling season-- like the Bills in the drought years. I don't want to see them with any high draft picks. Still, it's fun to see them blow a 17-0 lead.
-
The Bills almost lost because of me! And they're probably going to lose to the Pats* because of me!
EDIT: I won't say why. That would only compound the hex.

No tape or brace/stabilizer on the ankle that I can see
You can see athletic tape on his injured left ankle. And he seems to be walking differently on it. I can't tell if that slight limp is from the tape or the injury.

i dont know but I would say if I had to say if he was playing or not based on this 5 second video bite I would say not ready... but its literally a walkthru 5 second clip so no idea... but I see what you see... imo
To me it also looks like he isn't walking on the injured foot the same as he is the other. I assume there's some athletic tape involved, but my general takeaway would be not 100%.

I have a hard time believing that he didn’t completely tear his ACL, and I also have a hard time believing that the surgery he just had was to repair an ACL. They want all the swelling down, and range of motion restored before doing that surgery— three weeks would be rushing it. Two days would be very unlikely, it seems to me. But I’m no doctor. But why make up a story? It doesn’t seem like they’re being straight.

I posted this link in the game thread. It's pretty brutal, and his NFL career does appear to be over. Personal issues aside, there was never any denying his talent.

Don't know how much of this has been posted. Here is an in-depth explanation of what likely happened to Tyreek Hill. It looks like his career in the NFL is over.

Coleman had a 70% contested catch rate in college. It was the reason he was drafted. Obviously the guy isn't going to outrun many in the NFL. If we're hoping that he develops into a route runner, McConkey or Pearsal would have been a better choice.
Last year he was charted at 36% rate. After week 1?
Yes, I'm happy he had a good game, but he's not doing what he was drafted to do, which is catch the ball when he (and everyone else) is covered. I'm just tired of watching balls bounce off this guy, especially in the redzone where Josh is guaranteed to give Coleman a shot at a 50/50 ball.
He's young. He has time.
What I'm excited to see him do more... 0m32s, 1m21s, 1m37s, 4m47s (TD), 6m49s, 7m16s (jumpball TD).
It's unrealistic to expect Coleman to have anywhere near the contested catch rate he had in college. To my eyes, the biggest improvement we've seen from Keon is his ability to get open, and get separation-- something some on here have said he would never do. Four games into the season, he has a 77.3% completion rate on 22 targets. Comparing that to his '24 rate of 43.9%, I'd say he's made some serious improvements in his game.

- This offense has scored on their first possession in all four games this season.
- This defense needs to get better. I believe they will.
- I do believe McD used the perceived weakness of the Saints as an opportunity to see where they were with Samuel, and how useful he might be going forward. And I wonder what their conclusions are? I don't see Samuel as a better returner than Codrington. The Saints have (apparently) been abysmal on special teams. As a one-game sample, it's hard to read too far into his numbers. And i'm not sure he offers anything more than Moore does as a WR. He had a nice third down conversion, and a third down miss. But McD/Beane may feel differently.
- I thought Van Demark played admirably, and was fine in pass pro. I have faith in the depth of the O-line, but against a better defense, I think Brown would have been sorely missed, especially in the run game.
- Ty Johnson had an incredible '24 season. He made incredible plays every game, especially receiving. What happened? Why has his production fallen so far off?
- Cole Bishop is really developing into a quality starter. He's gotten better each game-- and I don't think it's just that we played a weaker opponent. I also continue to have faith in Rapp, recent struggles notwithstanding. I think they have the potential to develop into a special duo.
- TJ Sanders looked decent. But to my eyes, Deone Walker looked better.
- GO BILLS!

I think there is a difference between and in play penalty that happens post snap and something that happens pre-snap. Not sure I'd call it cheating but I do think conceptually the two are different.
Maybe there should be a new flag for "un-Corinthian spirit?"

I can't stand games like this, where we're huge favorites, and everybody is just assuming we're going to win. I hate the term "trap game," but I just hope the Bills aren't losing focus on the Saints because they're looking ahead to the following week when they have to face (checks notes)... the Patriots...

I think Chargers will end up 14-3, that is the record Buffalo will need to beat for the #1 seed.
They just lost their starting RB, Najee Harris to an achilles injury, possibly for the rest of the season. That's a big loss under a Jim Harbough offense.

Definitely not. Hunt got flagged after his TD for making a half of a throat slash motion, and will certainly be fined this week. Cant even make a bow-and-arrow motion.
Would be funny if a player decided to see how far (or small) they could take it. Like maybe do a slingshot motion, see if that gets a fine. Throwing a paper airplane maybe?
Could be mistaken for a dart, which could take an eye out! Definitely a fine.

Would a stabbing motion be ok?

I don't watch all of the Dolphins' games, but I do watch a lot of them. And just to give credit, where credit is due, this might have been the best I have seen Tua play. It feels weird even typing that, but I can't remember a game in which he was better at extending the play, and playing off script-- a trait that I have always felt was perhaps his greatest weakness. He seemed more relaxed out of the pocket than I think I have ever seen him.
I also watched his post-game presser, and like the other day when he said of Josh Allen, "I can't do half the things that guy does..." he also seemed utterly relaxed-- almost as if he had given up. And maybe that was the key? It seemed as if he just saw the inevitability of their busted season, and decided, "why worry about it? Just go out and play." Even that unfortunate interception at the end of the fourth didn't seem to rattle him much.
I've been observing for quite some time that there's a serious culture problem in Miami, and perhaps Tua has given up on caring, and that has lifted the pressure off his shoulders? I find myself secretly rooting for him, even if I can't stand the rest of the team, and don't much care for the fanbase. He seems like a genuinely likable guy. It would have been fun to see him play on a less dysfunctional team, but alas, I suspect that Miami is where his NFL career will end.

No we didn't quietly get better. In fact we got way worse !!
Our WR corp is non existent. Coleman was a no show.
Our only offense for poor Josh is Cook, Kincaid and the rookie Hawes.
Our WR room stinks at this point !
Three games in, Keon Coleman has a 77.7% completion rate, Kalil Shakir has 72.2%, Josh palmer 74.1%, and Josh Allen has targeted 10 different players in each game. Your negativity is really just becoming schtick at this point.

You mean the guy who was out for 2 1/2 games after bumping into Travis Kelce-- a collision that Travis barely noticed, but sent Worthy ass over elbows?
