Before this season started, we were talking about getting a low first rounder for TH. Look how much has changed in just 4 games. I think we vastly overrated TH last year. The fact that he played hurt and was a warrior for us goes over well in Buffalo but doesn't hide the fact that he is nothing more than an above average back, if that. RunTheBall

TH is going to be gone next year assuming WM stays healthy. TH has been less than impressive this year, although we're only at the 1/4 pole. WM hasn't had much opportunity, but at least he can block and he's going to get more touches. Other teams know that TH will be available and its unlikey he and WM can exist on the same team. I don't think we get more than a 3rd rounder for him. Thoughts? RunTheBall

What changes would you make at this point?

I think I would play more max-protect schemes on offense. I would run 2 tight ends, 2 wides and McGahee. Our offensive line is probably the worst in the league so you've got to give them some help even against fewer rushers. I'd throw a lot more to the TE's in the middle, run regularly out of this formation, and take a couple shots deep with play action. Not real exciting ball I know. There would be lots of 3 and outs. But if you get anything resembling a running game then you force more guys ito the box and can take some deeper shots. RunTheBall -
Watching Lindell practice FG's today was alarming.

I would seriously consider cutting back on whatever it is you're smoking. I'm sick of moral victories and "We may suck, but we'll be damn proud of this team at the end of this season!". All that matters is the playoffs. That's the only way you get to the Superbowl. This team is 100% out of the playoffs. Maybe you'll be happy with some chest thumping as you watch the playoffs that don't include Buffalo but I won't. RunTheBall -
It stuns me that when they went up by 1 point, there was little doubt in my mind that they were going to blow it. 1 point with nearly 6 minutes on the clock? No way the Jets weren't going to get at least a FG. I remember when the Bills could be down by 14 with 2 minutes to play and not have the ball and I would still think they had a chance. RunTheBall

Make take from 6 rows up in the endzone

In my opinion, the fact that you are talking about the 2005 season at the quarter pole of this season says everything - this team SUCKS. This team can objectively kiss my pissed-off ass. RunTheBall -
Can't say I remember many games from the 70s because I was so young, but I understand we had some pretty horrible teams during that decade that wouldn't need any referee help to lose games. I didn't realize Shula had the refs bought. What I've seen so often is good Buffalo teams being victimized by bad calls over the years, and no team has benefited from them as much as NE. That's what will make winning so satisfying, is will be overcoming the other team and the refs. As I type this, I see NE is the beneficiary of another bullcrap call. RunTheBall

At least the Dolphins beat us straight up. How many games have been given to the Patriots by the refs over the years? Even before they became the league pretty boys. RunTheBall

I've been a huge Sullivan basher this year, I think he's a miserable prick. That being said, I've gotta say his article in today's Buffalo News isn't off base. Sullivan Article His comments that we don't have the character players that we had in the past are right on. Nate Clements with "Playmaker" over his locker is indicitive of the "me first" attitude that seems to pervade this team. I don't know if anything less than a full house cleaning is going to get rid of it. RunTheBall

Sounds to me like you thought of that snappy headline all by yourself and came up with an excuse to post it on a message board. Please give me back the 20 seconds of my life I wasted on that. Who thinks of this crap? RunTheBall

Uggh. What is it with the teams that I watch and the ability to crush all hope with a stupid fuggin trick play at the absolute worst times??? A reverse on 1st and 10 against one of the faster defences in the country. Friggin brilliant Deleon. He and that putz Pasqualoni must go. RunTheBall

You can't leave 13 potential points on the field and beat Florida State. 2 missed field goals and a fumble on the FS 5 are going to kill SU. I feel like I'm watching the Bills the way they are self destructing. Hopefully they can pull it out but FS isn't Rutgers. RunTheBall

Since we can't get any sacks anyway

For all those who feel that Coy Wire shouldn't be cut immediately I politely refer you to the "Coy Wire Sucks" thread for some fine insight into his potential. RunTheBall -
Give me a break. These are pampered, spoiled, pro-athletes who get millions to play a friggin game. The least they could do would be to get it right. You think TKO gives a crap what we think? Hell no, he's out there spending his millions and working on his next robot dance that he can do on second down. When he blows an assignment that results in play detrimental to the TEAM, then he should hear about it. RunTheBall

(OT) I'm having a banner sports year...
RunTheBall replied to ExWNYer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1) Bills 2) Sabres 3) SU Sports (alma mater) 4) UB Bulls (grad alma mater) Someone please give me something sharp to stick in my eye. But hey, if I was a New England sports fan it would look like this: 1) NE Patriots for the last 3 years 2) Boston Celtics in the years 1957, 1959-1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1986 but I don't follow them anymore 3) Boston Bruins in the years 1928, 1938, 1940, 1969, 1971 but I don't follow them either 4) Boston Red Sox since 1918! Yankees suck! RunTheBall -
WE ARE 0 and 3 ! WE SUCK RIGHT NOW! #1) O line played well - WE LOST #2) Travis hits the hole hard WE LOST #3) Drew threw the ball well WE LOST #4) London blah blah WE LOST Get it? Who gives a **** how individual units played for parts of the game. It doesn't mean jack when you lose the game. Maybe you're satisfied with giving this team a big E for Effort but I'll give them a big L for LOSERS. It's pathetic when we are reduced to arguing that "We're really not the worst team in the league, that would be San Fran or Miami". Is this how the Arizona fans feel every year? Because I don't like it. Please, 0 - 3 people. I'll save looking for the positives when we post a W and have something to build on. RunTheBall

Tell me something positive about being 0 - 3 and the worst team in the league? RunTheBall

No, I'm sorry but.................

Hey Coy, YOU SUUUUUUUUCCCKKK! Sufferin suck-o-tash you suckity suck suck. Go suck on Schoebel, maybe he'll throw you a few benjamins for your trouble. You should be the special teams jock collector demon sucker. You suck. -
Brady Bunch Here's the story, of a GM named Tommy Who was screwing up three drafts in a row All his picks had a high motor, but they lacked brain cells So we signed Schoebel with lots of dough Here's the story, of a guy named Ralphie Who's foot was nearly halfway in the grave All he wanted was a trophy for his city Before his team moved away... Then the one day when the GM saw a statue And said "That's the next leader of our team" So he put him with a line that can't block Grandma And watched Drew's clock get cleaned.. The Bills just suck! They really suck! We're oh and three and our team just really sucks! RunTheBall

Can't blame him, he said she was ugly even with the Corona goggles on. Hey biatch, use that bonus money to get a new rack. If we can't get any sacks from it maybe we can get a couple melons. RunTheBall -
No, I'm sorry but.................

This thread just simply must be bumped. Coy Wire SUCKS. He SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS! He sucks in every sense of the word. He sucks sucks sucks. I don't care if he's a great guy, and spends all his time with clubbed baby seals which somehow survived. HE SUCKS. RunTheBall -
0-3 against AFC teams. Does anyone think the playoffs are really a possibility? I don't. They may make it so the season isn't a complete waste, but this team is not making the playoffs. That's not being a poor fan, that's being a realistic fan. The goal is the Super Bowl, not "shoulda, coulda, woulda" games. If the season is over, where do we go from here? Seriously. We're in year 4 of the TD era and the results are horrible. This team may have more "talent" than the 3-13 disaster, but that team played with more guts in my opinion. Do we fire TD? I liked the majority of moves he's made at the time he made them except for GW as head coach. His drafts have been overall above average but he's yet to get a benefit from his 1st round picks. In retrospect its always easy to criticize. I can't understand why this team plays so stupid and without guts. This is not the hard nosed, blue collar, not flashy, intelligent team I envisioned for my city. New England has that team. We have too many show-boaters spending more time thinking about their next "I made a play" dance instead of studying film. I think the single most detrimental problem with this team since the mid 90's has been lack of appreciation for the importance of a good to great offensive line. This is where TD has failed. I don't know what the answer is. I'm just disappointed we're 4 years into rebuilding and I see this team going nowhere. RunTheBall

Guys, looking at the replay, it doesn't look at all like a naked bootleg. It looks like a lame play-action pass. The way Drew was moving even before he saw the blitzer in his face looks nothing like a bootleg. It would have taken him 5 minutes to get to the first down marker. RunTheBall
-
If this is true, a Bledsoe bootleg, then my faith in Mularkey has been shattered. RunTheBall

I would add that not addressing the offensive line for the last 10 years has directly lead to the suckiness of this god awful excuse for a football team. RunTheBall
