  1. Says nothing about us drafting him in rounds 1 or 2. Just because we got the Syracuse coach doesn't mean we'll be drafting Syracuse guys.

Basically says he's tough, loves the cold, blah blah blah. Don't see the connection. We'll be drafting him because he likes the cold?

You clearly didn't watch the video, he basically said "If I was in the NFL, I would take him". Well he is now in the NFL and best friends with our new head coach....Connect the dots people! I think we take BPA at our 8th spot and either grab Tassib in second round or trade up in late first to get him if they are worried. He will be a Bill next year, isn't this so exciting guys! The Bills are transplanting a sub-pay Syracuse team to the pros to run the Bills!! STATUS QUO!

  2. didnt even watch the vid but yeah you gotta figure they are going after him. i seriously doubt they would use the eighth for him but in the second or on a trade down to the end of the first looks like a virtual certainty if they can swing it

Skip to 4:40, basically states if he were in the NFL he would definitely be taking Nassib if they needed a QB.

  3. Jets had the 8th ranked defense?!?! They were absolutely pathetic to watch the majority of the season, it actually hurt my eyes. (Yes, the Bills weren't half as bad as the Jets were in most games) I would absolutely love this move, we have far more talent on this team on defense then the Jets. Add in a stud LB such as Teo or Jones and we could really make some things happen next year on D!

  4. "Accurate" bombs is subjective when you are just "puting them up" to AJ Green. Dalton isnt throwing strikes which are hitting WRs in stride. It's more a matter of "When all else fails, throw it towards AJ Green's side of the field".

Stats dont show anything. Anyone with half a brain can make any stat prove whatever point they want. Especially when a single, top WR is making up most of his stats for him, as you point out.

It's not just from this game. It's from college, and every pro game. He's Fitz 2.0. That's it.

I had AJ Green on my Fantasy team and watched nearly half of the games. Dalton throws accurate bombs to Green, put Green on this team and see how many accurate bombs Fitzs throws to Green. I've seen Fitz throw one pass over 20 yards all of last year in the air. ^_^

To each there own, but I know what I've seen from watching the Bengals play this and last year. A team that was nothing suddenly becomes a playoff team the last 2 years thanks to Green and Dalton combo.

  5. You guys do realize that AJ Green had the most 40+ yard completions in the entire NFL last year right? Most of these being accurate bombs thrown from Dalton with Green outrunning the DB/Safety. Many of these came on the first few plays of the game. Fitzpatrick had 7 total on the season for 40+ yards, most of them being CJ screen passes that CJ made happen not Fitz. Also Dalton had 12 passes for 40+ yards which was 3rd in the NFL for QBs only behind Josh Freeman and Drew Brees. Dalton is in a completely different tier then Fitz. Not to mention going to the playofs the last 2 years, turning the franchise completely around, something we have not seen in 13 years.

Everyone here is basing everything on this game, which is truly sad. Please look at the statistics, they prove otherwise.

  6. Teo is not a top ten talent. Maybe if we moved back to 15 or so and picked up another pick. Hopefully he is there at 8 and someone wants to trade up for him. At 8 they can stand pat and get the second best QB. The QB's simply don't grade out that well this year and the first 7 teams as one would expect have other needs besides QB. Raiders will go DT. Eagles OL. KC will draft OL or trade back hoping they can still get Geno Smith a few slots lower. Lions wet dream is Jones. Browns will not give up on Wheeden. AZ should take a QB but I think they will so something wild like trade for Romo/Sanchez or sign Flacco. They have too much talent on D and at WR to go with an unproven rookie.

Then why do the majority of scouts rank him as top 8 talent?

  7. If a football team was in Toronto for years and years and decided to come to Buffalo once a year and they were a horrible team for years and years, never made the playoffs, and lose each game they play in my home town...I wouldn't cheer or be proud of "my" team for that week either. The on field product is the single most important thing in all of this, and its been atrocious to watch for the last 13 years.

  8. RB C.J. Spiller surpassed 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his three-year career. Spiller sailed past the barrier on his 154th carry, one of the fastest in NFL history. Of course, all that does is illuminate how crazy it has been that Spiller, who leads NFL running backs in yards per carry at 6.5, has had so few opportunities. No player in NFL history has finished a season with 160 or more carries (Spiller has 161) with a rushing average of 6.5 or better.

We need to clean shop with the guys running this offense and defense....PLEASE!!!

  9. In 1990, when the NFL went to a 12 team playoff format, there were a total of 28 teams in the league. Slightly less than 43% of teams in the league made the playoffs. The playoffs were fine, then. With the league's expansion to 32 teams, there hasn't been an adjustment to the playoff system.

If one more wild card were added, then 14 out of 32 teams would be in. Which is 43.75% of the league.

I'd be behind that move. Anything beyond that seems dumb.

Wouldn't that make an odd number of 5 teams facnig each other int he first round? Due to 2 teams having first round byes? How exactly would they change that scenario?

I love this idea, they should follow the NBA and NHL playoffs in which more teams make it. More meaningful games later in the season!
