Didn't Mahomes sit all of last year behind a vet QB learning the system? He was well prepared for this year with more offensive weapons than any team in the league. Didn't Rodgers, Brady, and Brees sit behind QBS as well learning the system and growing as a QB? When will the Bills learn?!?!

Look up the great hurricane of 1938. Cat 3 with wind gusts as high as 183 mph. It’s definitely possible.

Line sucks but Allen isn’t good. Brady would have 150 yards and 2 tds with our line.

Allen will once again prove that taking the guy with the physical tool set over best mechanics/mental game is always a mistake. He has all the "tools", but if you're inaccurate that is a very difficult thing to fix. I do believe Allen can handle the mental aspect of the game though which is different than the prototypical "physical specimen" QB so it will at least be interesting to see how he develops. We have to give him 2-3 years, but if Rosen is better than Allen in that time frame you once again fire everyone and start over.

How is RB a concern? We have McCoy and Ivory, it's a perfect match. I'd take a fast/shifty RB in the later rounds but first OL.

I loved Rosen because a saw bits and pieces of Brady and Rogers in his game. Looking off the safeties, using pump fakes, throwing guys open, putting the ball in the perfect place where only the WR can get it. That's the NFL game. Throwing 100mph fastballs on checkdowns, thinking a cross body, off balance throw will work against NFL dbs, and running around like a chicken--not so much...

From the Jets board. Pretty much how I feel. Every single NFL forum message board is laughing at us for taking Allen. Beane did not address how to fix his accuracy in the interview. Might need a new management team.

I'm almost positive he would have been. Giving up all we did to move up 5 spots was quite dumb, a side from drafting Allen over Rosen...

The Browns were not trading #1 at all, it was not even up for discussion. They were taking their top rated QB in Mayfield.
The Giants asked too much to move up to #2. Barkley was by far their highest rated player on the board. Eli/ODB/Barkley gives the Giants a 3 year contention window.
The Jets gave up 3 2nds to move up to 3 and take their franchise QB. They were deciding between Mayfield and Darnold. They weren't trading their pick.
The Browns were not going to take another QB at 4, and decided to go with Ward which helps their secondary. (Cost to move up too much)
Once Chubb fell to 5 there was no way the Broncos were going to trade down.
Same with above Nelson is a perfect fit to keep Luck protected.
Pick 7 was the first pick available that doesn't require to give up their other 1st rounder which helps us get Edmunds.
Bills had their QBS ranked:
1.) Darnold
2.) Allen
3.) Rosen
4.) Mayfield
Rosen was not even in the discussion because of his concussion concerns/attitude problems. However, in the post draft interview Beane says that Rosen is a great player and was certainly in the discussion for their pick so it makes it quite confusing to me.
I still feel like we could have waited until pick 9/10 to trade up and save a 2nd rounder.
All in all I hate the Allen pick still, but just feeling out what the Bills management staff is feeling. I am just tired of the Bills management drafting for the conditions in Buffalo. There was one snow game in the last how many years? It gets cold in December but September-November is 60s-70s and sunny.
The most famous phrase of the last 20 years Bills GMs. He has all the "physical tools" and "strong arm" with "great legs". We can always work on the accuracy and mechanics. It's getting quite old... -
Beane: It's snowy and windy in Wyoming, so lets draft the guy with the same weather conditions. I'm so sick of the Bills drafting QBs based on the weather. Buffalos weather in Sep/Oct/Nov is warm and sunny. Only one month of the season features bad weather. Bradys arm is mediocre at his age, but his accuracy is unmatched and he will still destroy us for another few years. Accurate>>>physical qualities always.

Neither. If we pick #1 give me the top rated QB prospect or trade down. QB is the only position that’s matters and they have the highest value across the league.
