  1. This is still a close game - the huge EJ criticism is hard to understand - first TT has been bad in the first half the last three weeks - second the Bengals are freaking undefeated at this point of of thefts 5 of 32 - relax. Maybe the touchdown will help?
  2. Any word on Darby? 17 pts is a real lead - but the secondary has taken a couple of hits
  3. Bears should pick up whoever we cut at WR - but it won't matter with them behind by 3 scores and having to pass with no one at home at RT. The worst starting inside linebacker pair in the NFL and a poor secondary means playing from behind. Every game. Cutler will be down within 5 games
  4. Here in Chicago it looks really bad - no RT equals no offense - really bad in third Preseason game.
  5. Agreed - I have no issues with conceited quarterbacks - you know, such as Kelly, Brady, even Flacco - http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/03/joe-flacco-thinks-hes-the-best-quarterback-in-football/ BUT,' conceded' quarterbacks? Why bother if one starts by giving up?
  6. I agree - now we can move on - it's not like Peters was any good last year. I thought for sure he'd come in and just kick ass, but he was terrible -- 11.5 sacks in 13 games - that's miserable! Just think of the low bar set for his replacement(s) -- if they give up 14 or fewer sacks in 16 games they're BETTER than Peters was last year. Maybe he'll get it together for Philly - maybe not but he wasn't doing it with Buffalo.
  7. It doesn't. From the policy that was linked in the very first post: CHIEFS FAN CODE OF CONDUCT The Kansas City Chiefs are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for our fans. When attending a game, the stadium staff will proactively intervene to support an environment where event patrons, their guests and other fans can enjoy the event, free from the following behaviors: • Foul, obscene, offensive or abusive language or actions • Excessive standing and/or obstructing the view of other fans • Intoxication or other signs of impairment • Smoking except in designated areas • Fighting and unruly or inconsiderate behavior • Obscene or indecent clothing or signs • Conduct that endangers spectators or participants • Harassment of visiting team fans • Interfering with the progress of the game, going onto the field or throwing any object onto the field • Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel • Selling items or tickets in the stadium or on sports complex grounds • Attempting to sit in a location other than the guest’s ticketed seat • Destroying property Seems reasonable to me. Standing is allowed. Excessive standing is not. It gives them another reason to cite when tossing some obnoxious idiot. Look, I usually lose my voice at the game and stand at the big moments. But do you really to have to stand ALL game because the knucklehead in front of you wants to shout taunts at a player 200 ft away? What if the knucklehead is wearing a Jets or Ravens jersey? Seems like someone intentionally misread the policy to make a radio audience dumber. See ya in the Ralph
  8. Okay, NYS taxes are high. It is more complicated than that. The thing is when I moved to Illinois and my gross income (to start with, now I'm doing okay now thank you) went down, despite the fact the my state income taxes went down, when I added all the taxes and fees I paid together my tax burden (both raw and as a percentage) went up! I've also handled property my family owned in WNY until last year so I know that part of the equation as well. Still ... If I could find stable work at 50% of what I make now I'd move back with my Midwestern family quite happily.
  9. Hmmn.. I just looked at it on the PC side with Firefox, Opera, IE and then went to the Mac side with Safari and Firefox. Not outstanding in anyway really. I kinda dislike the frames based look, but that's my preference mostly - really it's NOT bad. Hey, look at all the revenue streams tapped - nearly every frame is sponsored! Did you mean that conforming to Internet Exploder's limitations dumbs down all mass media sites?
  10. I am looking forward to seeing how the Bills do against the Bears D too. The talk here in Chicago is about this unit being as good as the '85 super bowl D. Da Bears will also be anxious to prove that Gandy really did suck it wasn't just bad coaching or game planning (by the bears). My wife was given a pair of luxury box seats so it will be my first trip to the "Saucer" at Soldier Field. We hope to see reasons that buying seats to the Denver game in Dec was a good idea. Can't wait -- Can't beleive I'm really excited about a preseason game either.
  11. He isnt bright or entertaining enough to make sportstalk interesting for three hours so he has to deviate from it. The entire staff seems to have tunnel vision - very narrow subjects within sports. I was in town from Chicago Thursday through Saturday. Strange subject selection seemed to me. The NBA finals are just under way and they close dosn discussion saying they are taking no calls on it. Alright, I haven't totally gotten over the Braves leaving either, but that seems weird to say to the audience. Maybe nobody was interested - but that is a topic itself. The NHL lockout is about to be ended - that should be news - they finally contacted Darcy Riger (sp?) and had a good interview. But they avoided the obvious question for conversation - Is the audience excited /intrested in coming back? Will anyone buy tix? Then there was the freakin "baby Joe" Mesi marathon. The idea that boxing talk is more interesting than basketball talk is weak. Then it wasn't even about boxing. NOBODY outside of the hearing board in Nevada and an extremely small proportion of the Buff audience knows or cares who this guy is. I wish I still hadn't heard of him. Does the station know there's a football team in town? I had the radio on for hours cleaning out my mom's old house and nadda football word.
  12. "Perhaps not my place to be answering for erynthered, but we ride each other pretty hard around here in good natured fun." Yep I agree -- that's why I've been a registered member since June of 2002 "After 23 posts you may not have figured that out, but considering that most of the folks on this board are short 1, maybe 2 brain cells (but all pretty damned big on heart), I think you need to turn down your "take it personal" meter." BTW I've only posted 23 times but have been a registered member 14 months longer than you so I don't need a lecture on the nature of the board. I most often post when people are bantering in my areas of academic expertise (Theology and Film post production) or when people take it out on the little guys. Nothing personal just sticking up for the little guy. If Red had been self effacing (including himself as one short on brain cells) the tone is entirely different. On the "life is behind the chair" comment - that's one reason why I have only 23 posts though I check in alomost every day. Peace?
  13. "I wasnt sure if I should have posted the math trick or ask for advice about my hang nail. But here's another link that affirms my feeling that some here are short some brain cells " I see it was all supposed to be sarcasm. So what was the clue? It wasn't poking fun of the powerful. It seemed perhaps inane but not scastic. Some of us may have been generous that you thought it was really cool. BTW the link was very intresting - I adopted my autistic step son on Monday. To bad you believe that those "missing a few brain cells" are to be ridiculed instead of those who are missing heart. Oh yeah and the hang nail -- do you really want to know what to do with it? I don't think you'd like my suggestion.
  14. Not so hard - two parts: Goal: part one multiply the exchange (three digits after the area code) by 10,000 to pu it in the right spot. method here: Steps 4 and 8 negate each other (try it if you like things will still work) steps 1,2,3 and 9 multiply by 10,000 part two multiply the last four digits by 1 with out effecting the exchange digits after the exchange has been displaced four decimal places to the left. Steps 5,6 and 9 take your last four digits double them and then half that result - surprise it is what you entered. There are lots of ways to make this take much longer of course. what's harder to figure is why anyone in Buff thinks the Bears Hillbilly kicker would be good in WNY - hey I'll miss him in Chicago - but only because he was such a hoot in an interview.
