  1. You know they used to see Genny Cream Ale in the south as a premium... (and I must admit I still enjoy a green screamer every now and again). True story about Iron City. When I went to Fredonia, the Quality Supermarket had mistakenly received a pallet of IC light. They had it on sale for 2.99 for a 12 pack. We bought as many as we could carry, went home and got stewed. A day or two later we returned to the store to get more, only to find the pallet was gone, so I asked one of the stock boys if there was any left. He pointed to a shopping cart filled with the remaining 12'ers. As we walked up to it we realized the price had gone down to $1.49 per 12 pack. I wheeled the entire cart right up to the register and bought the whole damn thing!
  2. True to certain extent, but that is their style.
  3. Milloy seems to think he is no longer gonna be a bill.
  4. And he might be well rested after a nice vacation at "Club Marv" come summer.
  5. Oh, I don't really care, I'm just pointing out the 3rd grade mentality. Feel free to throw as much crap as you can. A huge percentage of posts are nothing more than electronic posturing, followed up by bad jokes. You just have to wade through the stevestojan to find the occasional worthwhile thread. As far as internet forums go, this one is pretty timid. Go try throwing your hat in at the debate forum at penny-arcade if you think you are up to it. It can get pretty vicious over there.
  6. Thanks for proving my point. I knew I could count on the forum regulars.
  7. Ever heard of the ignore fuction? The people that feel the need to be annoying on the internet are just sad. They probably get little attention from folks in the real world. They feel that long, verbose posts on an internet forum will show the world what a true comic and/or intellectual genius they really are.
  8. You mean like how the ball didn't bounce our way this year? You make your own luck... I was not pleased initially to hear Jauron was a front runner. But the more I hear about him, the less hesitant I am about him being hired.
  9. Didn't you know his last name was "Lee-vee". Bad joke, but I was thinking the same thing when he was on...
  10. Oh.... I thought this was gonna be a link to Sully's article.
  11. Someone actually made you a mod? I'm not the type of fan that would bring in a sign, derrogatory or otherwise. But I have to say, when I heard about people with signs being harrased by security, it bothered me. It sounds like it bothered a lot of people, including RW. Maybe he is old school and that kind of sh-- bothers him. If so, there is nothing wrong with him apologizing. As a matter of fact, I welcomed it.
  12. If thats the problem, I recommend a trip to the Canadian massage parlors to reduce swelling.
  13. Core system has always been $299.00, but only a fool would buy it. For $100.00 more (the cost of the premium is $399.00) you get a remote, wireless controller, headset, and a hard drive. Seperately the extra would add up to almost $200.00 more. As far as the comparison to a PS2 or even an Xbox goes, that is laughable. I have a PS2, Xbox, and a 360. Remember what PS2 games looked like when it first came out? Wait another 6 months before passing judgement on the 360's graphical prowess. As far as it's similarity to what a tricked out PC can do, check out Call of Duty 2 on a fully tricked out PC. Next play it on a 360 hooked up to a TV. The 360 actually plays it with better frames rates. Cost of a 360 - $400, cost of a decent PC - $1000-2000. Where to get them? I bought mine on ebay before the launch and only paid 500. I know the guy that sold it to me is regretting it now. You best bet is to check in at BestBuy and Circuit City as often as possible, as they will continue to receive occasional shipments. Also check out Xbox fan forums like teamxbox.com or xboxaddict. People will frequently post links to web sites offering 360's in stock.
  14. Both solos in Iron Maiden's Alexander the Great are at the top of my list. Also, Craig Goldie put together a masterpiece in the solo for Dio's I could have been a dreamer.
  15. Sprinkle in a dash of bad coaching and you pretty much have it...
  16. Oh, I totally agree with you, but I usually attend 5-7 games a year, and looked forward to it all year long. It just adds insult to my literal injuries!
  17. It looks like I may not get to attend a single game this year. On September 3rd my friend and I were in a high speed car accidend that left me with a broken neck, my humorus (upper arm) suffered a major compound fracture, broken ribs, 2 collapsed lungs, and numerous bumps bruises and lacerations. (My friend wasn't so lucky RIP). My friends sold my tickets to the opener as I was still on life support. When the 11th came (also my birthday) I thought it was the day after the accident and thought I might still make it. It is the first home opener I have missed since 1995. My recovery has been slow, as my arm bone has not healed due to an infection in the incision. It may be another 6 weeks. I don't have a cast, but a metal plate in my arm holding the upper and lower parts of the bone together, and also am using a bone growth stimulator to promote healing. If the infection doesn't heal soon, I may require surgury on my arm. Possibly 2 of them, one to get at the infection, and another to take bone from my hip to add to the non-union in my arm. To make matters worse, on Wednesday, I am schedualing a surgury on my neck which will take 6 additional weeks from which to recover. That means I'll probably have to sell my tix to the Denver game as well. This might be the first time in 11 years that I won't be able to attend a Bills game. I can't tell you how frustrating that is. Just needed to vent. I try to keep positive around my friends and family as they are stressed out enough about the whole thing as it is. And considering I lost a good friend in the process, it seems like a petty thing to complain about. Anyway, thanks for listening. Go Bills!!!
  18. Do we need to do anything? I mean come on, its f'n Mexico for cryin out loud. I was p*ssed when those idiots did that, but they already lost the fight. I mean come on, they are from Mexico.
  19. Yesterday, Brad on WGR was talking about some restaurant that had a "fiesta night" which was essentially a Mexican buffet. Does anyone know what place this is?
  20. I'd like to buy it, but I'm "short" on cash...
