  1. Didn't chase them for any money. Damn Comcast owns Versus so their screwing DTV around I guess. Kinda ridiculous having to watch the Sharks opener on the internet because it was on Versus. Was looking forward to the Sabre game tonight and couldn't see that one. Should really call them and whine I guess.
  2. I think Jaraun would single handedly scuttle that show for HBO. Ratings would be off the chart low. So boring. So lifeless.
  3. Bills fans really suck for selling out that place every game. Maybe they really are to blame. They persist in buying a inferior product.
  4. Which games? tennesseeboy, we got beat by a qb that completed TWO passes all day!! For 23 yards! Can't really blame injuries on D for that one. I might buy the multiple win thing if I could somehow reason that when we get some of our D men back we can stick with some teams and win late. But we couldn't score more than 3 points at home vs Cleveland. I can't imagine getting any uglier than that and I can't see us getting any better.
  5. Not a bad idea I suppose but it really is hard to have a second favorite team. Not the same. I prefer to go the gambling/pool route to supplement my lack of entertainment by the Bills. Fantasy leagues do wonders to maintain interest in the sport. If you are in a good one with a sizable prize then its even better. But it's still fun just for the competitiveness of it. Hockey also good and even the Sabres, financially challenged as they are, still manage to put a pretty decent team out there. Personally I think they will do well this season.
  6. I'm for trading anyone or anything to start building a offensive line. Thats where it all begins. Without that you have nothing. This is what should have been done starting a few years ago. That would actually take a bit of foresight though.
  7. I voted for Fisher hoping this might speed up his demise in Tennessee. Then the Bills can hire him. Oh wait, Ralph is our owner. I see Bobby April in our future since. I suppose he would be cheap enough to offset the money Ralph would still have to pay Dick.
  8. If it were only as easy as that.
  9. I think getting the right coach is the most important thing. Don't change for the sake of change. If the Bills found the best guy now then I would do the change now. No it probably won't do anything to save this season but it will give the coach a good feel for the roster he has by seeing them in game action. I think it would be a big advantage going into next season. Has to be much better than judging on next seasons training camp alone.
  10. THis is another thing that has been bothering me all season. This guy is overrated. Our special teams suck. Penalties every other punt/kick return. Constantly putting our offense in a even worse position. He pulls off a fake kick for a td the first game of the year and that makes him a coaching god. He's lucky he has Moorman.
  11. lol what needs to be twisted?? Losing 6-3 to the 2nd worse team in the league, at home, vs a qb that completed TWO passes. No spinning necessary. I'm pretty sure this is the worse situation I can remember as a Bills fan since the early 70s
  12. I agree. I think Lynch is a much more explosive runner. Especially if they can ever get the ball too him in the open field. I like Jackson as well. He is a capable 2nd back. Bills insisted on alternating them every series of downs though. Another brilliant idea.
  13. It's a free country and if he has the right just like anyone else to own a team if he has the cash. If he was able to make our team better I have no problem with it. I find it funny that NFL players have the nerve to pass judgement on him when half of them seem to have some sort of criminal record. His money is green as well and as long as they can cash their bloated checks then just shut up and thank your over paid lucky ass that you have this great life. Sanctimonious morons.
  14. 4-2 Sabres! Myers with first NHL goal
  15. Well, she is from San Francisco. This week the Presidents Cup started here in San Francisco and some city official made a public statement warning Mike Jordan not to smoke his cigars at the tournament because it was a public course. They are just wackey here man. Thats how she keeps getting elected Here's the smoking thing http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/prescup09/n...tory?id=4539056 You know, it really is hard to take people seriously when whining how bad things are when they think something like this is a priority. On the contrary, they don't have enough to worry about. My mom and dad grew up in the 30s and 40s and had to worry how to put food on the table. These babies spend time on this crap.
  16. Hell I don't care. I think its funny. Did you see the season opening South Park "Dead Celebrities" episode? According to them his soul can't rest until he fulfills his deep down desire to be a white little girl. That really is messed up
  17. Fixed subject line!!!! Very appropriate now.
  18. The country and the President are two separate things. Love the country. The pres...not so much. No matter how much you polish up a turd it's still a turd. Noble Peace prize award is just more propaganda by the cultural elite.
  19. Stings almost as much as your avatar! ouch
  20. Okk bdelma I will call bs on myself. After making a phone call too the shop I found out where I got mixed up. Looked at two cars side by side(this was a few years ago) and I got my facts crossed. The gto is a special made model for Hurst shifters. A few goodies on it like a different shifter, wheel covers and badges. That GTO is worth approx $50,000. So I'm full of bull on that one. However, sitting beside that car, and the one I got mixed up with the GTO on, is a 59 2 door Bel Air. THIS was the car that I had in my brain and it was the one with one of, or the first factory car to have fuel injection. It is worth, in these recessionary times, between 250,00-300,000. Only 3 of these were made apparently. So, my bad.
  21. Hey thats what he said. If I remember correctly it was only one of six. Nothing special to look at. Just rare. These guys who collect cars are super passionate and have lots of cash. So I'm never surprised at the money paid for this stuff. This guy I'm talking about has 50 or 60 cars stored above my brother in laws shop. All years and types. Only American cars though. The only foreign one I can remember seeing there is a vintage 60s VW van. The type surfers use to use out here.
  22. My brother in law has old cars stored at his shop. He has a mid 60s gto in there worth over $400,000. Not his, a rich customers. Have a pic of it somewhere. If I remember correctly whats special about this particular car is that its one of the first American production cars with fuel injection. Or something to do with fuel injection. Anyway, $110,000 is not surprising at all for these things. I would think the Galaxie is worth that much becasue they seem so rare. I work 4 big car shows a year out here and almost never see those cars. If you don't find em out here there probably isn't many around.
  23. That movie looks so weak judging by the trailers. Hopefully the wife won't want to see that one. Last weekend we saw Zombieland. Really fun movie. Well cast and a decent enough story. The little girl from "Little Miss Sunshine" was in it. Of course Woody and Emma Stone who is very cute. Also, the kid who played the geek/nerd Jessie Eisenberg was maybe the best of all. Movie had a great sense of humor and generally just a lot of fun. Also so Whip It, which I was pleasantly surprised by. It followed a hackneyed formula but they did a good job with it. Another strong cast. I always enjoy Marcia gay Harden(the mom) and Juliet Lewis is consistently solid. One of my favorite actresses.
  24. I wish the NHL would stop trying to shoehorn teams into the weaker markets. Concentrate on the product quality, making sure the game stays fast with no clutch and grab. Reinforce their stronger regions and let the game catch on naturally. Only way to do it. But Bettman and the owners are holding out this pipe dream for national mass appeal and the lure of a big TV contract. Forget it. Your not going to be on par with the NFL. Play to your strengths and go with it.
