I envision Johnny as a pretty buff dude. LoL... Big Macs? NEVER! Okay, maybe only after that all-night pot smoking bender. 😉 😜 Riddle me this? How do we fund roads? Shouldn't my money paid in my tank give me priority over the freeloaders?
-
It's okay for you to be an avid cyclist, just don't get too many people hooked on it. We need to pay for roads and bike paths.
-
Yes. A car is entitled to the whole lane. It's fuel taxes at the pump go to building it. Kick in, and you can get a portion of it. Do fuel taxes at pump go to building bike paths? Actually, vehicles with LOWER mpg should also be entitled to more. More of their money goes to repair AND they may be doing less damage to the road. Maybe not the air we breathe, but less damage to roads and bridges, etc...

Yeah... Whatever: https://www.theguardian.com/science/2012/aug/19/most-improbable-scientific-research-abrahams I thought I explained it with the black desert house, black can be just as cool, if not "cooler." Style and function. It also gets cold at night. Maybe you need reinforcement: "It seems likely," the scientists wrote, "that the present inhabitants of the Sinai, the Bedouins, would have optimised their solutions for desert survival during their long tenure in this desert. Yet one may have doubts on first encountering Bedouins wearing black robes and herding black goats. We have therefore investigated whether black robes help the Bedouins to minimise solar heat loads in a hot desert." ...The results were clear. As the report puts it: "The amount of heat gained by a Bedouin exposed to the hot desert is the same whether he wears a black or a white robe. The additional heat absorbed by the black robe was lost before it reached the skin." Bedouins' robes, the scientists noted, are worn loose. Inside, the cooling happens by convection – either through a bellows action, as the robes flow in the wind, or by a chimney sort of effect, as air rises between robe and skin. Thus it was conclusively demonstrated that, at least for Bedouin robes, black is as cool as any other colour."

Did he ever drive a Chevy to a levee and drink whiskey & rye w/them good ole boys?

No. But, I know it's a very Socialist concept. Can't be all that bad, right? LoL... https://www.csmonitor.com/World/Europe/2010/0708/Tour-de-France-101-What-s-the-peloton "...The front rider in the peloton takes the brunt of the wind and air, cutting wind drag for rear riders by up to 40 percent. ..."

Agree. But, that's not how America works anymore. I'm your problem and you're my problem. 😉 😜 😘 You better watch out for me!

But it also gets close to freezing in fahrenheit too at night.

Sorry too busy. First they want us to watch out for things I can't see, like motorcycles. How stupid and sniveling are those: "Watch for motorcycles" bumper stickers on automobiles. What a crybaby world. Here's a novel idea, how about everyone watch out for themselves. In the boating world, sailboats ⛵ = Bicycles and motorcycles. In their twisted minds, everyone else must revolve around their silly self-important needs. But, to answer the OP's original questions. If they ticket automobiles for driving in a bike lane, then ticket bikes for driving in an automobile lane.

Deserts get cold at night: "The Western Desert lives and breathes In forty-five degrees..." "Build a house like a shadow..." https://thespaces.com/property-of-the-week-black-desert-house-in-yucca-valley-california/

Gonna be great when we are all 6 feet apart and tickets only cost $5,500/game. How much is a hot dog and a Coke. $110.000? You picked a fine time to build me Lucille...

Yeah, right, she never had plastic. Her face is frozen in '12. I wish it was '62. How does she get the war paint off? Can I borrow the needle scaler for my '62 Falcon's engine block? /smh. -

Yup! FWIW... Places like West Seneca Schools (on edge of City) struggle with the pockets of poverty. You wouldn't think it... EDIT: Not really poverty. Just "working poor." -

45 sounds high! My town here it's... a paltry $19,800!!! I can take you through some towns (please close your window and lock your door) where the per capita doesn't even scratch $9k. Figure... IF it's $40k. A family of four has to be cranking in 160 gas a year. -

Per capita. Which is a really good metric of affluence. -

Yup! And... Historically segregated by gender. Big non-coed tradition in WNY when it comes to secondary education -
I am making a quick (under 12 hour trip) to Iowa to help my son move tomorrow. Actually I pick up a U-Haul trailer in Cedar Rapids. Do you need me to get her number? I can keep the U-Haul and transport her 3.5 hours back East. You'll have to figure out cartage the rest of the way east. @plenzmd1 Of course. They will have to condemn the trailer. But, I took out the $8.00 insurance policy. Should cover it.

My son is @ Iowa. Finishing up in Fall with 3 classes. One is online. The others may be in person if they don't get big classes.
