Good post - I enjoy reading everyone's thoughts on the situation. It's certainly been an adventure trying to follow this situation. As for the above quote, I also gave it some thought, and my feeling is that it was Rivera who made those comments. Specifically, the comment that he was "less than thrilled" with the Nix hire. Just connecting the dots here, but Rivera was in SD when Nix and AJ had a falling out. I have no idea what really happened, but those left behind in SD seemed to have a bad taste regarding Buddy. Also, Rivera has ties to Fewell from coaching in Chicago, so he may have gotten some negative vibes from his contact Fewell, seeing as he was just fired by him. Just pure guesswork, and it would be too bad if it was Rivera, because if we go the coordinator route I think he'd be the best candidate, although Russ wouldn't be too far behind.

I know TD/Mort are buds, and he gave him the inside info to make Mort look good. But it also goes back to Butler, when he left the Bills he apparently shared with Mort the inner workings at OBD, and it was less than flattering to Ralph. Mort likes to bring that up when explaining why the Bills are not an attractive coaching job.

Then why did you say compensation? If you're making a point to understand what you're reading, it's important to use the correct words when making the point. Slow down, relax. Sabres won.

Dude, you gotta chill. We were just having some fun here, but you've gotten all bent. I never "jumped on you" I just referenced a helpful website if you're interested in reading up on Sabres prospects. You'd think such a "talented prospect" as Zagrapan might show up in the top 20. I won't even get into what English "compensation" is.

I'm not offended. We just don't share the same opinion on Zagrapan. However, you did list 4 specific top prospects, but one of them isn't ranked in the top 20 in their system....just sayin'
