  1. I completely agree. In fact, I'm hoping the Bills have already moved on from Coles who is clearly just using them to make the Bengals cough up a huge contract. Which they will because...well...they're the Bengals. If a 4th is all it takes to get Holt, he should be on a plane tomorrow for his physical in Buffalo.
  2. http://www.the-leader.com/homepage/x844649585 If you read the rest, you find out the "Who" comment about Norwood was just a joke and he does talk to him. In fact, the entire interview seems pretty light-hearted. He even mentions how he'd do whatever he can to keep the Bills in Buffalo.
  3. Join the club, Thurman
  4. I wouldnt say that. I understand where you are coming from, that is the Bills not wanting to give up a lot of draft picks...BUT...if Holt can be had for a 4th and Waters can be had for a 3rd, I'd make both of those trades in a heartbeat. We'd then have the option of filling our need for a pass rusher and a TE with our 1st and 2nd rounder.
  5. The Bengals will overpay for Coles, guarantee it. They've lost face with not being able to re-sign Housh, so its time for the consolation prize.
  6. Right, just saw that. Replace Washington with Galloway or Toomer or Hackett then
  7. Oh please, dont even start with this. Its not that the Bills wont spend money, Derrick Dockery would disagree with you that Ralph wont spend money. Its that they wont be dragged into a bidding war for a player who is clearly just after his wallet. I've been saying for the past few days that Coles will not be coming to Buffalo, because its clear he's just focused on getting himself the best deal. Thats NOT the type of player we need. The Bills will grab a WR, either through a trade or through FA. Holt? Bennett? Harrison? Washington? Could be any of them. It just wont be Coles because he never showed even a degree of wanting to come here. Has nothing to do with money, I bet the Bills offered him a good contract. And the Bills will do the same to another veteran WR.
  8. Everyone...shhhhhh...let this post simmer for a few seconds before someone points out the obvious.
  9. Sorry Bills fans, consider this one gone. Hopefully this will allow the FO to get off it's butt and start focusing on other areas.
  10. I got a call from Bill this morning saying he liked my "moxie".
  11. Hopefully the Bills will pursue this instead of just sitting on their hands and waiting for Coles to turn them down. Which he will. Torry Holt was, at one time, on pace to eclipse Jerry Rice's career marks. That is downright amazing to me, the guy has a lot of passion for the game and would terrify opposing defenses if he played opposite of Lee Evans. We saw what he could do when teams respected the 2nd WR in St. Louis, he could re-create that here with Lee.
  12. Wow Jonathan Stupar makes more money than James Hardy. Hardy's gotta fire his agent.
  13. Yup, and you notice the same websites are lining up saying that he's going to come here. There are going to be a lot of disappointed fans when he signs with Miami or Cincy.
  14. The fact that the Bengals have flown up as possible suitors in the last few hours make me think they are making a huge push for him. I just dont see Coles ending up here.
  15. Thanks so much Tim! Although I have to admit, I always get the feeling that the Bills just take Sundays off during the offseason. Of course, they've done that during the regular season over the last 9 years too. BA-ZING! Thank you folks, I'll be here all week. Make sure to try the veal and tip your waitresses, they work hard you know!
  16. Aw man, Wikipedia is now reporting that the Raiders signed him to a 52 year $224 million contract on 03/01/2009!! Damn!
  17. Give me a second, I'll change it back.
  18. Its a swerve, he's still going to Miami.
  19. Who in turn took it from Scout.com
  20. Ugh...I'm so torn on Greer. On one hand, he's a very solid and consistent CB who seems like he could hold down our CB position for the next 5 years. Add to that he seems like a great guy and complete team player... ...but...we already have McGee and McKelvin had a pretty good rookie season. Not to mention how lights out Youboty was playing before he got hurt, and Corner flashed some talent as well. I dont know...I hate saying it, but I'd rather let him walk and put the money towards getting a OLB or FS in here.
  21. They claim that it'll take a deal "similiar to Stroud's" last year. If a 3rd and 5th is what it takes, send em' away tonight and get him in here tomorrow
  22. Maybe something like a 2nd rounder next year if he makes the Pro Bowl, if not a 3rd rounder.
  23. Normally I get mad at these posts...but since the title is 100% true and NFL related... Good form sir, good form!
