  3. The 4 play-in games (technically "first four" games) are made up of 2 16 vs 16 games, an 11 vs 11 game, and a 12 vs 12 game. When play-in games first started around 2000, when the Mountain West (?) conference was formed increasing the number of automatic bids by one, it was only the 16s that played it. Games were low rated (who watches two 16s play other than family and alumni? Plus, other than UMBC knocking off Virginia a few years ago, no 16 seed has ever beat a higher seed). Adding 11/12s to the play-in schedule, more specifically the 4 lowest rated at-large teams, best as I can guess was done to give more deserving bubble teams a shot, since prior to this the addition of the Mountain West took away one at-large bid. Adding 11/12s to the play-in schedule also attracts more interest and TV viewers, since those teams do have legitimate shots at going deeper into the tournament. Short answer - money

  20. Watched the first couple episodes of Reacher on Amazon Prime. If you have read any of the Reacher books by Lee Child (and there are a ton of them), the series does a pretty good job of capturing the overall feel/vibe of the character...loner, complicated past, always comes out on top, etc. If you know the books, then you know that while the Tom Cruise movies were decent entertainment, the character he was playing was NOT the Jack Reacher. Cruise is 5' 6" with heals and maybe 150 lbs. Reacher is 6'5", 240lbs and a menacing dude. This series, for the most part, at least gets that part right. I was hoping the actor would be a bit more brooding and weathered and a little less handsome and chiselled, but after 2 episodes it's working for me. One note - if you are a fan of the books, then you know that the stories often rely on wild leaps of faith, impossible coincidences, and a general suspension of logic, all of which are present in the series. It makes Jack Ryan look positively by-the-book. But it works! The books are well-written, pulpy fun, and so far so is the series.

  24. 1. You've been a fan since - 1970 when I moved to the Buffalo area as a young 6 year old 2. Your first Bills memory - First Bills game in person. 1972 vs the 49ers at the Rockpile. I recall having endzone seats, that it was raining, and that the Bills won 3. One of your favorite Bills memories - Two, actually. The Comeback Game - I actually missed the first half for some BS family lunch nonsense, was driving home listening on the radio when the Oilers scored on the pick 6 early in the 3rd quarter, then got home and turned on the TV to watch to comeback. Second was this season - first game seeing them live in Orchard Park since 1974 (the year before we moved away), and enjoyed it with my daughter. 4. Your favorite player of all time and your favorite player currently - All time - Andre Reed, Current - Josh Allen (ask me again in a few years and he may be my all time favorite too) 5. Some of you guys have some awesome forum names. What does your forum name say about you? - My forum name is an unimaginative bore, chosen in a hurry when creating my login. So I guess it says that I too am an unimaginative bore.
