  1. Banyard (2012) is just one draft class ahead of Gillislee (2013).
  2. If Taylor can't throw from the pocket then he's not long for this team or league. He has to show that he can do it. I would be shocked if we see read-option plays or multiple designed runs. They're building a team for the long-term benefit of the organization. "Short-term gain sometimes doesn't equal long-term success." They have to know if Taylor should be invested in beyond this season.
  3. What do you mean by this? Which players and which strengths?
  4. Well apparently in your universe Cordy Glenn was once named an All-Pro so...
  5. This "patch work line" is currently 7th in the league in pass protection. Not good enough for Tyrod to find someone to throw to, I guess.
  6. Of course Taylor is the problem here. Look at the picture.
  7. I know that any accomplish I list you'll just wave off as Kubiak's or Shanahan's so I won't even bother there. I'm referring to the statement that because he played linebacker that he can't be a good offensive mind. It's silly. That's because the defense knows the quarterback won't beat them with his arm.
  8. McCown has had even worse receivers to throw to than Tyrod, yet he has a 71.4 completion percentage at 6.9 yards per attempt (compared to 6.7 for Taylor).
  9. Of all the repeated takes on this board, this is up there as one of the dumbest. Who cares that he was a backup linebacker for a few years in the NFL? He's spent nearly a quarter of a century immersed in the Shanahan offensive system and is an accomplished NFL offensive coordinator.
  10. They retained all five starters of one of the best OLines in the NFL the last two seasons. And they drafted one in the 2nd round.
  11. 7th in pass blocking. THROW THE BALL, TYROD
  12. It has absolutely nothing to do with hindsight. The screenshot below is where Taylor's release point should be. He should be throwing a nice and easy pass to the 6-6 Thomas (with a 3-4 yard cushion) over the 6-2 Nick Vigil that hits his hands right on the '0' digit. Your average NFL quarterback attempts this throw right here. THROW THE DAMN BALL, TYROD!
  13. Thomas is exactly where he "should be". The play worked perfectly but the quarterback got too scared to attempt the pass (again). This isn't even up for debate.
  14. Horrible take. This is an easy throw. The defender isn't even looking. "The separation he needs" - that says it all. Tyrod needs too much separation. The NFL doesn't work like that.
  15. This is the slow reaction that has been a fatal flaw for Tyrod. He needs to make a split decision to pass to Logan Thomas immediately and he hesitates, which costs them four points. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5gHmJTJq-A
  16. It's not fixable. He's 28 years old. This is who he is.
  17. Signature and/or avatar of the winner's choice for the entirety of the offseason?
  18. Another outing like Sunday and it will get interesting. I'm on the record - Peterman will be starting as soon as November 12th vs. the Saints. If not then, it won't be until December 10th vs. Colts. But I fully expect it to happen on one of those two days. I'll agree with that.
  19. It's like talking to a brick wall with you people.
  20. In 2014 Kubiak and Dennison improved the Ravens offense from 30th to 9th in efficiency. The last two seasons they've worked with a disabled Peyton, Brock Osweiler and some guy named Trevor Siemian. Rex sucked because he was incapable of adapting. Maybe Dennison is too but there's no way of knowing that yet.
  21. He can't see over the line - It's a problem but Russ Wilson is 2.5 inches shorter so it's doable He can't see the whole field - He has slow progression speed, if that's what you mean He can't read defenses - No, I think he can read defenses just fine He can't get rid of the ball on time - Sometimes he can, but not often enough. He can't throw with accuracy - This is false. His accuracy is fine. He can't "lead receivers" - False He can't make decisions - Be more specific He can't throw over the middle - He's improved on that this season, which is nice
  22. By "college offense" I just mean an offense that uses the read-option play on a consistent basis and doesn't require the quarterback to make all of his reads throughout the entire field before he scrambles and runs. See: 2015 and 2016 Buffalo Bills. I'm not literally talking Rich Rodriguez's run-option system or Mike Leach's Air Raid here. If it were solely up to Dennison and 2017 was declared to be the last NFL season ever then I'm sure Dennison would design play after play for Taylor to run all over the field. Firing Dennison would accomplish absolutely nothing. What do I like about the Shanahan/Kubiak/Dennison offense if we had a Top 10 passing QB? Well, I like that it's a proven commodity.
