You don't seem to have any clue as to what he was even saying in that statement do you? The way these workers are being treated would be illegal here in the United States. They are systematically abused and have no recourse. Hence the reason you see so many suicides. Is 300 dollars a month worth the use of your hands after the age of 35? Will they make the leap overnight. No. But if you want to help them along how about we refuse to import items from any nation that does not practice safe labor. That takes away their competitive edge and brings manufacturing jobs back to the United States.

This is what happened to me the first time my wife and I filed for taxes after we had our first child. It was kind of strange to get back more than we paid in. It never happened since nor would I want it to since I feel the rich don't pay the same burden as the rest of us. But I agree it's piss poor tax code and needs to be changed.

This is the way I've always looked at this statement. I think the idea he was really trying to get across was more along the lines of it doesn't matter who the government is. Just live your life according to Gods law. Keep your political views separate. Not you, nor anyone else in the world has a mandate from God to tell us how God feels about taxes.

You have to admit he has a point on the bible thumpers. It's all relative to interpretation though. Letting the tax cuts expire if fine but not at this point in time. However, I'd like to also see a drop in the corporate tax rate along with the raise in taxes on personal income for the rich.

Dear god The point is, the CBO doesn't know everything. What they gave was a forecast. Could they be right, perhaps. But my guess is when they scored the healthcare bill favorably you thought they were full of ****. Am I right? I'll give you that you may be right on the difference between scoring and forecasting. However, It's not ignorant to ask where they got their data from. And if I gave the data to another team they may come up with something different. I don't contest the fact that Obama is in trouble for the next election. It doesn't take a CBO report to conclude that.

The Correct context of the article would be the fact that the CBO is hamstrung by complex rules that prevent it from providing any explanations of reality beyond the information given to it to work with. What I can't seem to track back is where the CBO is getting the information it's using to produce the report.

I don't think you quite understand what I was saying. 1 As far as I can tell she didn't have a gun so I don't think she really had any other choice. 2 I didn't say you should go hide in the bedroom with the door locked. I said the best thing to do is hold the door at gunpoint until you know what's going on. There's no easy answer to the question of what to do in this situation. haha no. Most of the real working of the economy and the CBO seem to go right over the top of your head. The only stuff you do understand is what is explained to you by right wing web sites. Have you read the report yet? How about the publications that came before? The above quotes were only a small portion of the last few publications taken out of context when looked at on the larger scale. There are many, many factors that effect the economic recovery. This is just one of them. Not to mention I would rather have a slower more sustained recovery than one that jumps and dips. This was the largest crash in history.
