I think an underrated move was the Rapp signing and he'll play in the big nickel. Watching that KC game yesterday and seeing Neal get abused in that role, Rapp should be a massive upgrade over him. Tre looking like his all pro self Elam progresses , though I thought he had a good rookie year, has potential to be elite Ford is amazing depth Most importantly is staying healthy

You got a point. Maybe terrible is overreacting but more like average. I mean watching him vs Milano, Edmunds just always seemed hesitant and didn't attack. He's physically gifted but just didn't trust his instincts imo.

I said this earlier. McD was 100% in on this decision and obviously feels Ed will have a huge impact in this D. I think he just needs the right partner next to him , I love Ford pickup and Jones was 🔥 last year but they clearly have a plan for him going forward to produce

Facts His instincts were brutal. His size was really his biggest asset especially in coverage. But I couldn't stand him consistently getting fooled, especially play action or overreacting in coverage. Just look at Milano compared to him. I just love Williams instincts and he has similar wingspan then Edmunds

Idk if this is sarcasm but I agree regardless , Williams lacks the size but has incredible Instincts Feel like it will result in much better results in his rookie contract P.S - Milano is a BEAST and perfect example of instincts vs size

I mean he's a very good LB. I just think for this specific D he is very replaceable and watching a random game, it shows his instincts are terrible

Edmunds lack of instincts killed us. If he wasn't so physically gifted he'd be a JAG Just too many plays he was out of position, especially on play action This kid Williams has a huge wing span and his instincts jump off the screen

I get it. I'm surprised as well. I just trust Beane n Co and imo , it's clear McDermott feels he can get the best out of Ed based on the contract. My only logical explanation is that McD feels Ed will excel with him as DC and command 20+ mil next year

Well Von gets double teamed instead of Ed. If I remember correctly, Ed was elite in 1 on 1 win ratios for dts

He's in the 11-16 range. Once Q Williams and a cpl other dts get paid , he'll be alot lower. For the most part Beane has hit on his contracts and timing of them. If Ed lives up to his potential, Beane just saved 5 mil a year. If not, im sure they'll have an out in 3 years or so. Ed would start on any nfl team, the #s look big, im surprised but I trust this F.O
