Happy birthday

I thought it was the Cincinnati game.

Looks like there will be a couple tailgates going on, then. We're having our third tailgate @ Sliders before the game. I've contacted Sliders, and we're just about all set. The setup will, more than likely, be the same as the last time, when we had a buffet set up plus drink specials. I'm also working on getting some "extras" this time. Once the details are all ironed out, I'll post it here. For reference, this was the setup for the last tailgate we had @ Sliders.

The NFL.com league is set up, and I PM'd the people who were in it last year and inquired about it. I'll open up the rest of the slots on August 6th.

I'd rather see us get a stud receiver like Calvin Johnson or trade down in order to stock up on offensive linemen. Levi Brown would be a nice choice. Add in extra picks in a trade down, and that's nice. Of course, this is all WAY too early to speculate. Brown could tear up his ACL, Johnson could get put in prison, and the Bills could actually win enough games so that this isn't an issue.

Calvin Johnson could torch the Irish, as he's the best WR in the nation. Unfortunately, his QB play is average @ best.

Just adhere to this rule: If (name of writer here) writes something showing the Bills in a negative light of any kind, (name of writer here) sucks, is biased, and doesn't know what they're talking about.

As fun as going to Bills games is, the experience of going to a college football game cannot be beat. It's a win-win situation though, as both are a lot of fun. I've experienced playing college ball and it was a blast. I only wish I could've had the experience of playing pro ball.

Gotta agree w/ you there, Rock. All they do is misinform on what the Bills are doing and whine and complain about the moves the front office makes. If only they were more like TBD...

Call me a glutton for punishment, but I really am. For the season, and the chance to tailgate w/ my friends also.

Oh yeah, the Sheraton is very close to Sliders and to M&T Bank Stadium, Harv. I'll be contacting the closer hotels to see if I can find a good group rate, which will be very tough considering it's New Year's Eve. But I will try.

The tailgate is already in the planning stages, Harv. I met w/ the owner of Sliders, a bar across the street from Camden Yards and just up the street from M&T Bank Stadium (where we've already had 2 successful tailgates in the past 3 years), and we're set. It'll probably be identical to what we did for the 2004 game, which is: *Buffet that includes wings, burgers, chili, and plenty of sides to go w/ it for $10 per person, and... *Drink specials, which were 2 for 1 Yuengling (Mmmm.........Yuengling!!) and Bud Light (yuck!!) plus rail drinks. As we get closer to the date, I'll post more details.

The good old days. Didn't that use to come on Saturday night @ 7pm, or was it Sunday? I think Wild Kingdom was Sunday and Hee Haw was Saturday.

Ugh! No more Batman and Robin references! That's easily one of the worst films I've ever seen.

I do like Outback's steaks. My wife loves that bloomin' onion crap, too, so it's easy to get her to go there. I also like the Bourbon St steak @ Applebees. They season it very well.

Wow. You didn't like Batman Begins? I loved it. It was just what this dying franchise needed. Ten thousand times better than the atrocious Batman and Robin.

Do they still do the loan applications in the front lobby, so that you can pay for your meal? There's a few locations here, and neither has impressed me to where I'm looking to pay that kind of cash on a recurrent basis. Could be worse, though: they could be Shula's. That place doesn't just do loans, they do refinancing.
