  1. BYRON YORK: Conflict in aftermath of Kirk killing. There are two epic battles going on in the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk. One is the battle to define Kirk. The other is the battle to define his killer. There are significant voices trying to portray Kirk as a hateful, divisive figure. At the same time, there are voices trying to portray Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, as a confused, apolitical young man. In simplest terms, the point for both is to absolve Kirk’s political adversaries — Democrats, the Left, progressives, antifa, trans warriors, furries, whatever — of complicity in Kirk’s death. If Kirk was divisive and hateful, then he might have, in some portion, brought his terrible fate on himself. And if the suspect was indeed confused and apolitical, then he was not acting in any directed way on behalf of an ideology that might then bear some blame for the assassination. It’s instant absolution for the Left: We didn’t do it, and even if we did, he kinda deserved it. Weird how the people claiming that Kirk’s assassin wasn’t one of their own are the same people celebrating his murder. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/daily-memo/3818510/conflict-aftermath-killing-charlie-kirk-suspect-tyler-robinson/ Anyway, read the whole thing.

  3. Fetterman Has Some Sage Advice for Schumer on a Government Shutdown By Susie Moore On Sunday, Fetterman joined Dana Bash on CNN's State of the Union to discuss the potential of a government shutdown, given the fast-approaching September 30 deadline for government funding. Bash had previously interviewed Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on the matter, and Fetterman's observations were largely in response to that. https://redstate.com/smoosieq/2025/09/22/fetterman-has-some-sage-advice-for-schumer-n2194201
  4. You missed the point again (deliberate?) Jesus was trending due to Charlie's memorial service, NO ONE, but you, would assume that we were saying Charlie is like Jesus. Meanwhile: Charlie Kirk's Memorial Was a Hope-Filled Clarion Call Stephen Kruiser FTA: The impact that Kirk and his organization have made on younger conservatives has just gotten clear to me in the last week and a half. It's nothing short of stunning. People telling me that they've been crying for days. People telling me that they know people who have been crying for days. People telling me that their first experience with activism came through TPUSA and that they're more inspired than ever. My 87-year-old mother and relatively non-political loved ones have been consumed by the tragedy and talking to me about the news. What we saw at Kirk's memorial service in Glendale, Ariz., on Sunday was huge in so many ways. First, there was the sheer size of it. "Five O'Clock Somewhere" producer Jim flew in from Rhode Island for the memorial. He arrived at the stadium around 5:40 a.m., and the lines were already insane. He sent me several pictures from the early hours of the day and — I kid you not — it looked like people gathering for a rock festival. All of this was going on four or five hours before the event was scheduled to start. https://pjmedia.com/stephen-kruiser/2025/09/22/the-morning-briefing-charlie-kirks-memorial-was-a-hope-filled-clarion-call-n4943954
  5. This is the kind of Roundy response that gets you laughed at. You can do no such thing. But you still try and sound like an authority. Meanwhile:
  6. FTA The memorial was overwhelmingly a religious, not political, event. Thus, the climax came when Erika said that she forgave her husband’s murderer, as Jesus forgave those who crucified him. It was a moment of extraordinary emotional and intellectual power. But, speaking for myself, I will never forgive the liberals who created the conditions for the murder of Charlie Kirk, and many other evils. Following Erika, President Trump’s contribution was adequate but anti-climactic. The highlight was when, after he was done speaking, he and Erika hugged. She was the star of the day, not Donald. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/09/the-charlie-kirk-memorial.php#google_vignette
  7. I listened to Erika Kirk’s full speech at the memorial, and I want to share a few thoughts that came to me while live streaming the event. This is not political. First, I should say that I grew up as a Muslim in a Muslim country. I don’t know enough about Christianity to say if what I witnessed is rooted in faith or culture. But what struck me most was how, even though death is heavy and this was by nature a sad occasion, the entire event carried a celebratory spirit that honored life. That contrast hit me deeply. In Islam, even though we believe that good people go to heaven, the relationship with God is taught through fear. Funerals are overwhelmingly sad, often filled with warnings of the terrifying first night in the grave. Growing up hearing that, and then witnessing people celebrate life, speak of God’s love, and remember someone through the impact he had on others; it felt so refreshing, so positive. Second, I was profoundly moved by @MrsErikaKirk ’s words. I cannot fathom the strength it takes to stand and deliver such a meaningful speech after losing the love of your life. But even more than that, the grace it takes to forgive the very person who destroyed your world. I cannot imagine myself standing on a stage, sending love to those who cheered your husband’s murder, or inviting others to spread God’s love in response because, as she said, “we do not respond to hate with hate.” That is powerful beyond words. Again, I am ignorant when it comes to Christianity, but if this is what it truly embodies, then I am envious of those who get to experience that feeling.
