+1 This is where I was during preseason and this is where I still am. Of corse, two weeks ago this was insanely optimistic. One difference: I would no longer be completely shocked if we somehow found our way to the playoffs.

I think Chan planned to stick with Fitz regardless, Fitz and Chan are on the same page and it showed against KC. Chan was going to start Fitz this year, period. They could have taken Newton as a future franchise qb, but frankly the defensive need was much greater. Why draft a qb you don't plan to play right away, when your D-line and O-line need help right now? So no, I don't think Newton would be a Bill.

The under the radar thing occurred to me as well, but I think there is more to it. We finally have a coaching staff willing to use the TE for more than blocking, and a QB who can take advantage of the position. Chandler put himself where he needed to be, Fitz hit him in the numbers, and we gained yardage. That's more than we can say about any TE we've had in recent memory. I think Chandler will be a legitimate weapon this season, if I'm wrong I guess we'll find out Sunday. GO BILLS!

+1 I've been following TBD for over ten years and finally decided to register and post. Seems we lost some good posters in the last several years, things got kinda sour around here at the end of the DJ era but looking up now I hope. I didn't grow up playing football, so much of what I know about the game (and Bills politics) I've gleaned from TBD. Thanks guys for your insight and wit. This is really a great board.

Chan is a far sight better than DJ . . . more and more, I have confidence this team will continue to get better. We have a long way to go, but for now, I'm happy we have, for the first time in recent memory, a Team hungry to win. GO BILLS!!!
