The sense of entitlement among Bills fans is astonishing.

I think that Josh Allen stopped doing as much in the off-season after 2021. He believed, after that moment, that the difference between him and Mahomes was a coinflip.
Unfortunately, the gulf has only grown since then.
Awesome troll post! Well done.

Fantastic player who thrives in this defense. Great move, Beaner!

What were the Bears supposed to do, in your opinion?
Beats me, I don’t get paid to make those decisions…but they certainly don’t look like a well run franchise.

Bears gonna Bear. Crazy.

The bottom line is that I don’t think anyone on this board is going to type the words, “damn, Dane Jackson would have made that play” during a Bills game next season.
Best of luck to him!

Interesting comments in this thread. I would have thought it a no-brainer “good thing” to have DQ back in the mix, but a lot of you are worried he is falling off the cliff. I guess we’ll see.

Gabe is certainly one of the most enigmatic draft picks of the Beane era. Had games in which he dominated, and long stretches in which you wondered if he was on the field. A lot of nagging lower body injuries that probably affected him more than we know. Never turned into that reliable 2nd guy who could make a contested catch for a 1st down when you needed it.
By all accounts a great guy loved by his teammates and coaches. A willing and able blocker. We’ll never forget the KC performance in the playoffs and the Pittsburgh game — but that is also the problem. There aren’t enough of those types of memories.
I really do wish him best of luck. I’m sure we’ll have the “Gabe update” threads around here by both those who loved and hated him.

Best of luck to you, Gabe...so long as your interests do not conflict with mine.

But I have a feeling they downgraded much of the stadium due to ballooning costs.
Is this “feeling” based in any way on hard facts?

Good news from a Bills perspective. Whether you believe Russ is washed or not, he’ll be competent for Pittsburgh and I like seeing those four AFCN teams beating each other up.

The Patriots "window" was EIGHTEEN YEARS....
There is no such thing as a window. You either have a staff that can continually put the right players on the field or you do not.
No window.
Agreed. The “window” talk is media fodder and meaningless while Josh is in his prime and we have a competent organization.
The bottom line is that we didn’t get it done with the pieces we had the last few years and the players who were released were too expensive for what they brought to the table. I respect Beane for not being sentimental and doing what is needed.

They will lose a lot of season ticket holders but the demand for individual game tickets will increase since going to games that way allows fans to avoid the PSL fee.
They will lose some existing season ticket holders, and gain new ones. I agree the individual game market will be just fine.

Okay, having watched the video I’m still confused as to what the Bills are trying to do here. They seem desperate to NOT show their fans the new stadium. I’m a huge fan of physical models, like the one they feature in the video, but there again….show us the damn model!!! Don’t just show us people’s faces as they react to seeing the model. Geez!
I can tell you this; the high production promotional video and the detailed physical model cost them way, way, way more to make than a computer generated fly around/through video. The skeptic in me is beginning to think that some of the fans on here may be right. You’re about to get colossally soaked on ticket prices!
I think it's pretty clear what they're trying to do. They want fans to come to the exhibition they've set up and be blown away rather than making a decision based upon a video or drawings. And yes, of course tickets are going to be more expensive -- I don't understand why anyone would think differently.
The Buffalo Bills live experience in Orchard Park is going to change. Not everyone who went to games before is going to be able to go in the future. it's just the way it is. That doesn't mean the stadium and experience for those who do go won't be awesome.

Amazing to me how many sad sack fans want to b-i-t-c-h and moan about what is clearly going to be an awesome venue. You people act as though this was some knee jerk decision when so much thought and inspiration has obviously gone into the design.
Just stay home. Plenty of us will happily be there.

Huh?
Maybe I phrased it poorly...if the Bills simply cut Bates they'd be fully on the hook for and dead cap part of his contract, but by trading him they have more cap savings...I think?

Haven’t read through the entire thread, but I imagine the reason they couldn’t get more than a 5th is because by trading Bates they discard the entire cap hit rather than having dead cap if they released him? That’s a nearly 5M savings.

There are no easy decisions here. But sure, your sarcasm is a really helpful contribution the discussion.
One very easy decision is not to suggest cutting an integral part of the defense who is under contract and in his prime.

PSLs are nothing new, and Bills fans have been blessed with not having to be in that environment for far longer than most NFL fans. Those who can afford it will buy, and those who can't, won't, but acting as though one is "owed" something just for being a STH in the cheapest stadium in the country for years comes off as whiny and entitled.
As long as there's a decent product that new stadium is going to be filled...believe me.
