I didn't see this up thread
Baker Mayfield interview today.
Or this might work better
Maybe I'm missing something but the Cleveland media seems to have exactly 0% interest in the Bills team and what they're good or bad at.
It's all about Baker and the Browns
OK, Freddie starts his interview saying a few nice things about the Bills
Did Freddie do his presser facing away from the media?

I hope anyone with an empty feeling inside over being 6-2 take a good hard look at what folks thought we would be before the season started.
It's a great record after 8 games.

Geez...
We’re not Cleveland. Let’s not fire everyone on a whim... Let them develop the team and the players for gods sake.
Daboll is and should be our coordinator for the foreseeable future.
Absolutely. Allen gets the season. The coaching staff get the season. So should Daboll.
Why is a Allen capable of improving when showing good and bad but not Daboll? He's not getting fired

The strange thing I’ve noticed about watching Josh Allen this year, Pats game aside, is that I usually find myself thinking he’s played pretty well with the eye test... then I look at his stats and am disappointed when I see an average of 200 yards passing per game.
He looks the part, but the deep ball issues and offensive consistency in general, are preventing us from seeing a QB, and Offense, that’s arrived.
You are right somehow that he looks the part but the stats are disappointing in comparison to how he looks at times. I agree with the sensation you describe regarding Allen. Leads to not being sure of him either way as of yet.

You need both stats and intangibles to be great and have sustained success.
Ultimately true. If he is to be top tier, you need to see top tier statistically.

Allen's numbers will take huge drop in the 2nd half of the season because he faces better defenses. He's going to have to be a lot better.
Yeah I wanna see how he's does against teams like the cowboys, ravens, steelers, pats

...And Tyrod level is what we are getting. I think Allen is being misused.
You mean the coaching staff should let Allen be a gunslinger?

what dumpster fire this team is, if we lose to them it will be quite sad
You couldn't get more opposites in terms of 'culture'. I hope that impacts who wins the game.

Honestly, I do wonder about the tactical deployment of a few of these guys. For all listed (except for Allen), you could make an argument that the Bills aren't using them in optimal positions or in the correct manner. Might not be misses per se... might just be not letting players play to their strengths. Only time will tell I suppose.
Yeah and coaching

Man I hope this kid can get much better. Hopefully he can be coached up. Otherwise huge first round whiff.
It will be interesting to see how alot of draft picks turn out.
Beane is seen as a good gm and talent assessor generally but if Oliver, Ford, Edmunds and Allen all start panning out to be average or worse than people will need to start asking questions.

Anyone else concerned about Levi Wallace getting torched by Landry? I'm assuming Beckham will be followed by White all game
Some concern. They go for it a lot on 4th down as well so that is a worry as we have been good at holding teams to field goals. And the run game with chubb. Want to see what we can do on offence.

Not for me it won't be. If we beat the Browns, even though they have been bad, it may just change my attitude about this season. I am serious when I say this is the type of game we normally blow. So winning this game will without a doubt have a positive effect on me.
Yeah. Hopefully the bills don't lay an egg as soon as they are favourites.

The browns game is massive now. They are destructing. We are a healthy scratch. let's go in and beat them for 7-2.
I haven't seen the killer instinct/ability to put teams away yet and that might come back to bite us here. I feel like Allen will play well in this game though.

Brady is an actual QB, Jackson isnt, gimmicky QBs dont win. Allen is way way closer to Brady than he is Jackson.
Not sure about that. Allen's not close to as accurate as Brady but a better athlete

I thought the scramble and throw to brown was an example of development from Allen. Hadn't seen that before.
Kept his eyes down field and I think he looked away and went there last minute with an accurate pass only the receiver could get.

Until the play calling improves I think we'll continue to see around 200 yards passing. Just not enough screens and receivers in space. A lot of guys with big yards through the air benefit from YAC. Josh just doesn't get those kinds of plays often. Shame too, as we watched Singletary take a quick screen 49 yards today. Daboll seems to get a bunch of credit for running a modern offense but modern offenses employ quick screens. Daboll's does not.
Practicing screens wouldn't hurt the defence either. Last in the league in defending them

Regardless of all the negative verbiage, we WON THE GAME, and we are 6-2. We keep this up and we make the playoffs twice in three years, when the last time we could say that?
Go Bills!!!
This is all true but unless we get better we lose in the Playoffs.

How many "really good teams" have they had the opportunity to have some kind of "signature win" agains THIS YEAR?
The Pats?
Just let the team develop. Big deal, they lost to the Eagles...it could have been any team really...they could have beat the Eagles but lost to the Giants, would I feel any different..NO!
They are gonna lose some games, just like the Dynasty 49ers, the Dynasty Steelers, and every other ***** team except the 71 Dolphins.
This season they lost to the best two teams they played, pats and eagles.
6-2 record is great, it's good to beat the teams you should and generally under mcdermott they have done that.
Not convinced we are seeing a team right now that can beat the better teams. Dallas, ravens, steelers will be tests.
Daboll is an excellent play caller
