It was good to see them play a solid game top to bottom.

This game and the next against the Commanders should be solid wins where the team can tune up for the tough stretch.

I honestly think they had something like this dialed up for the Jets, but the Jets defense is tougher than the Raider. When things didn't flow right, panic set in, and Allen went off script and couldn't dial it back in.

I want to see them play similiar styled games against superior competition. Stay calm, stay cool, take the 1st downs and move the ball methodically. If the defense cheats up for the that game plan, expose them with the deeper throws.

The Commanders can generate a good pass rush. Our OL need to be ready to handle it.

Our front 7 is pretty nice, but I do feel it’s missing that twitchy speed guy. Hopefully Von can still fill that void. Otherwise we have a lot of length and strength up front, fast flowing and aggressive LBs, and a veteran secondary.

I am really worried about the backend of the defense.   White has played poorly.  Benford has been ok.  Elam is not even playing...and the two safeties look old and invisible. We are looking at the final year of Poyer and Hyde.

I think the Bills have already proved the are resilient. The talk was they couldn't win the close games. That got put to rest after last season.

The Jets game was basically on Allen. A QB can win and lose games. Josh lost it! He bounced back today and I think that's the more realistic version of Allen. He's human and we will not always be sharp. The Bills just need him to be smart.

I'm not sure how far the Bills advance this season. Hopefully, it's to the SB. One thing I'm not too concerned about is Bills winning "dog fights."

I think all parts of the team stunk week 1.

        -  ST lost the game with the punt return in OT

        -  Allen lost the game with the costly fumble and boneheaded INTs

        -  Defense lost the game with the big runs and allowing the Jets to score that TD.

This may be the difference between us and the Dolphins. Insanely long drives with a stop or 2 on defense will probably have Tyreek Hill looking like a crack addict on the sideline

Agreed...The raiders had a total of 39 plays on Offense of which 7 came in the last drive...

Just wanted to bump this. Been saying this since 19

If he plays like today we're unstoppable

I think we need to give credit to the Jets defense.  They did take away the short routes and forced Allen to deep.  With a four man rush and a talented back end defensive roster,  Allen was not going have a chance.   Should he have continued the dink and dunk.  may be it was not working.

Not to make tooo many excuses for us cuz we clearly sucked lol but if we came in with a game plan tailored to Zach Wilson I doubt we would’ve lost that game…still woulda been ugly as sin though im sure.  Cowboys got a full week to prepare for him as the starter

Our loss last week had nothing to do with Wilson.  They played Wilson safe.  The Bills self destructed in Offense, Defense and ST.   That is the only way they lose that game and they did

Stop babying him…he’s a grown adult who should be able to take criticism…

If I were the coach, I would even take it a step further…Whenever he starts to melt down again, I would sit him for a series- give him time to cool off and get his head right before completely imploding, and hurting the team…👍

Where was the QB coach Brady when Josh was down ?

We haven't agreed on a lot in the past, but we damned sure agree on this.

The plan was working, in the first half, allen was completing passes at a 70% clip, with only the one egregious error. Then his head ensconced itself firmly in the backside and he lost the script

or may be the Jets had better half-time adjustments

Hopefully Daboll can get fired in NJ and the Bills can bring him back as the OC.

Wishful thinking! In all seriousness, I hope the Bills can bring in a better QB coach or OC that can keep Josh streamlined.

I think Daboll/Allen had a Teacher/Student relationship....whereas Allen has had a much more relaxed working relationship with Dorsey...That may be a difference in the NFL

  9. Everyone is cautiously optimistic for the season.  Once the season gets.rolling the fans will be in the rhythm of the team

this team has a lot of unknowns going into week1 and we as fans are desperate to find out as the preseason did not give much glimpse of it.  Go Bills !

This is the year the coaches have to elevate themselves in the playoffs.  Put your team in a position to execute.  Keep it simple but effective.

Winning in the playoffs and the Super Bowl requires this elevation something thus coaching staff has lacked.  They need to demonstrate that

    Go Bills !

Agree....my top 2 concerns are the OL then DL.  Trenches win championships.

OL -  has McGovern recovered ? Will Dawkins play like in 2020

DL - will Leonard make a difference.  Will Ford help the run game

MLB - is Bernard up for the task of shutting down Cook and Hall

RB - is Cook ready to be unleashed.  Will Harris be able to stay on the field

WR - who is going to step into that #3 WR spot

we will find out in 45 minutes.  Go Bills !

    A. They badly mismanaged the final seconds of a playoff game that was possibly their only roadblock on the way to the Super Bowl.

    B. The Chiefs are in the AFC and have the best offensive coach in the NFL. That makes it very tough to get the coveted bye week. It will limit their chances.

As for weaknesses, I’d agree that the lines are not great. The coaching was too conservative in a big moment. I think the presence of Allen is enough to overcome the line issues in a flawed NFL . Will the coaching come through when they get another opportunity? We’ll see.

Even the presence of Allen didn't help as as we never got the ball back.  Go Bills !

It’s amazing to me Burrow is considered by many in the NSM to be the 2nd best QB. It’s foolish to put him there. The accuracy 67% career is the only thing keeping him in this convo. Take away Higgins in 2024 and Burrow starts a fast descent. I think their TE1 Irv Smith is such a step down from Hayden Hearst. If Baltimore could stay healthy they’d be a real threat, but it looks like this Cleveland team might be a real contender with that D. Losing Conklin for the year hurts, but they were smart to draft that beast Jones from Ohio State.

You could say the same for almost every QB.  If Diggs is not on our roster, then Allen will struggle like he did the season before the arrival of Diggs.
