1. Some of you people replying about this procedure are ignorant as all HELL!!! You obviously have not had it, or believe yourself to be experts about something you know little of, but feel a need to spout off. Nick, your post is a JOKE!!! No one is clamping and splitting your eye, taking a scalpel, and a **** laser. And if you are in pain after the surgery, something went way wrong.

Fichte is well known in Buffalo. I went to Atwal. I had been to Atwal for up to 20 years before I had the surgery. I googled Atwal and found his name on the Vatican's web-site where the Pope had referred someone to Atwal. It don't get better than that! Your lids are held open to prevent blinking, not to widen it as much as possible. With anesthetic drops, this is not uncomfortabel at all. A "microkeratome" glides across your eye, which pulls the cornea back. You feel nothing but a sensation of something on your eye for no more than 1-2 seconds. Focus on a light as the laser does it's thing, half minute later you are done. After the procedure, the only discomfort you MAY feel is like you have an an eyelash in your eye. Go home, nap a couple hours, wake up and then you will feel nothing. Someone mentioned a halo effect. Yes I have a small amount of that.

  2. Lionel trains, you may want to get it appraised. Lionel over a long time has gone from a toy to a hobby to where it is now an investment. You will be stunned to know the value of what you got. Don't give it away

My jackass cousin offered me $200 for my entire collection, knowing full well it was worth 10x that. Gotta love a relative

  3. I have a 1400 sq ft cape. Hey I have a 45 year old Chrysler furnace gas forced air!! So I can expect to pay $5-6m for a combination furnace/air unit. What are the better brand names, and dependable? Lastly, my 2nd floor has always been warmer in the summer. I do have a lot of insulation, ridge and eave vents. How can you get more air directed upstairs? Are there like auxiliary fans to install in the 2nd floor ductwork? Or what's the best idea?

Maybe 5-10 years ago the gas company was offering no interest loan assistance to upgrade heating systems to something more efficient, to conserve gas usage. They came to my house, checked out the furnace, and said it was TOO efficient to qualify. 43 yr old Chrysler!! When's the last time Chrysler made a furnace? Just before they made mini-vans? LOL

  4. I'll only go to a game if the tickets are $5. There has to be major changes in the game and not just financial. What good is it if they finally agreed on a deal and we get the same old garbage hockey that the NHL has been putting on the ice for the last few years? I'll bet even with a salary cap of $32-$35 million and a whole year wasted, ticket prices do not come down more than a buck or two to "appease" what few fans are left. The league is still going to lose money and nothing will ever change. It's pretty hard for me to get excited about NHL hockey after what they have to done to the game.

Agreed! Once a CBA is signed, the players are making $$$, the owners make $$$, and if tickets go from say $55 to $50................so what I'm staying home. If hockey is out a year, there has to be something in it for me too or forget it. In the last year I found new ways to spend $$$ I used to spend on hockey, and I found new things to do too

  5. "A couple of months ago, the NHLPA was hoping for a salary cap of just under $50 million US per team. In reality, when the deal is done, it will be far less than that. Perhaps as low as $32-35 million."

    348839

Wasn't the last cap offer by the owners around $42 million? The players really took it on the chin then if it does become $32-35. Not to mention losing a year's salary. How can the union sell that to the players? OUCH!

  6. Dimebag, Slash, Zack Wylde, Kerry King, George Lynch... i'm sure there are a lot of others that should be on that list that i am forgetting.

    348251

I met George Lynch at the Guitar Factory @ Southgate Plaza, West Seneca. He was playing that night at a local club. Came to the GF to give a demo on guitar playing. My son takes lessons there. Played for like an hour non-stop as fast as anyone I ever saw, just rippin' on the guitar. Then spent another hour talking, taking questions, giving tips, and hanging out. The guy was really cool, great personality. He must be about 50, same as me. Comes in, takes off his jacket, sleeveless tight shirt, damn the guy was freakin' built for an old man!!! Bills players would be proud to have his body fat, or lack of

  7. willis was playing madden with roscoe out in their orchard park crib, then they hit the mall and bought some ben wallace #4 jerseys and matching hats then went to the olive garden for pasta and salad, then smoked some weed and then called over some bitches.

    346077

Geez, I call it a good day if I just get to Olive Garden. I gotta raise my expectations a little...............

  8. he doesnt have much ground to stand on when asking for more money.

but when his contract is up.... its gunna SUCK!!!

    346293

You would think that, but look at TO and a lot of other players complaining now. One year into contracts and they want to renegotiate already.

I too believe if he has a big year in 2005, he'll hold out after that. After all, he is a former Miami U player. They all do that

  9. Hasn't someone killed that guy in prison or something?

    331717

To my knowledge still alive. But I remember pictures in the media when he showed up for pre-trial hearings. He had only been in prison a while and he had the crap beat out of him. His face was messed up and eyes blackened.

I hope some serial killer gets a hold of Homulka. Besides the 2 girls, I believe Bernardo was also found to be a serial rapist in Toronto, before killing the girls. The girls, imo, 2 of the most horrific crimes in my memory.

  10. Marine

This was a joke from the start. An embedded photographer, and this gives a chance for all the 2nd guessers to come out and support the Iraqi. The Marine, if he pauses, and the Iraqi is faking it, is DEAD. Lets see, should I die or shoot the Iraqi. SHOOT!!!

  11. I swear on all that is sacred. If they move

this team out of Buffalo I will never watch an

    NFL game again.

    329043

Third that! Just like when the Braves moved out of Buffalo, I never watched another NBA game again.

As far as the Bills are concerned, once the lease expires or gets close to the end, and if R Wilson is dead....................lets just say we move up the list

  12. 3)  We did not deal Travis!    I, for one, am not panicking.  What could we have received for him leading up to the draft?    LJ Shelton?  The Bills brass was not overly impressed with him.  Not to mention he was benched by the CARDINALS!  (not exactly the model NFL franchise)    Just because Shelton is a player at one of our perceived "need positions" does not make him the right player for us.

Oh wait, how about a mid-round pick, instead?    OK, that's fine, but review item #2 above.    In a weak draft, how valuable would that have been? (even if it was offered, which is seems it was not).    Why not hold onto Travis?  Maybe he gets traded for more, later (a better player then Shelton, or a 2006 pick).    Maybe he reports on time and provides solid depth at RB for one more year.    Or, worst case scnenario, he holds out and we don't pay his salary.

Either way, he only costs 1.25 million on the cap (not bad in this day and age).  Even losing him at the end of the year for "nothing" is not the end of the world.      Not much different then getting a marginal OT (Shelton), or a mid round 2005 draft pick, that is not guaranteed to work out.  Keep Travis and look at UDFA's!

    319906

Keep Travis for this year!! If he goes you have an immediate depth problem at RB. He doesn't cost much. Picks after 3 rarely ever make it so really we would have got nothing for him. Lastly, he has no choice as to where to play, and has to play hard too. We hold all the cards. If he dogs it this year, he only hurts his own free agent bonanza next year. BTW, Shelton sucks

  13. I broke my fall with my hands and now my left arm hurts when I try and straighten it or bend it.  Any suggestions how to treat it?  The pain is around the elbow and tricep.  My back brake pads are shot( I didnt realize how bad).  I was cranking and hit both my front and back brakes and only the front worked.

    309934

I did the same thing once, same pain. Ended up being a mild hyper-extension. Just took like Motrin or something like that. Still, I did have it checked out by an orthopedic surgeon because I was in there any way for knee pain. What a mess I was
