The Glen Harbor Hotel is the only place worth staying at in Watkins Glen...  https://www.watkinsglenharborhotel.com/

Or your could stay in Corning or Horseheads for all the brands.  Be careful not to try and stay there the week of NASCAR

Watkins Glen St Park is where the gorge is and waterfalls, if your up to hiking it ya can do that...  https://parks.ny.gov/parks/142/

The gorge walk is really nice.

I didn't see it on the WG track site, at one time you could do 3 laps on the track in your own car.  I did it with my MX5, it was a blast

  2. Some good suggestions in this thread.  I grew up with Talas, mentioned a little in this thread.  Saw them many places, Barrelhead Tuesdays, He & She's, After Dark in Lockport. Billy was in Mr Big. Now lives in Nashville, among other things makes BBQ videos LOL.  Fun fact, Billy crossed paths with Eddie Van Halen who hired him to be in VH replacing M Anthony. Billy accepted, but then never heard from Eddie again.

Some people here have to recall Kenny Wilczak, the literal Big man of Buffalo music maybe 50 years.

Here's a polarizing band suggestion, big in Buffalo like the last 25 years. Hit N Run.  Imo, great classic rock, then wavered way too much in the genres they played. I lost interest

I like this list cause you included so many 60's Bills.  That D back then was loaded.  Other guys like Stratton, Dunaway, McDole, Edgerson, Saimes.

Highly doubtful, the Pirates are a different beast.  Their never ending rebuild is purposeful.  Their business model is to keep payroll amoung the lowest in the league, develop and cycle in new talent to bring a quota of fans to the stadium each year, and trade most of that talent for new talent when it's due a big payday.  Rinse, repeat.  For many years now.

Imo, you just described Pegula's business plan for the Sabres too.

Josh and Hailee are missing out on a traditional Buffalo Polish wedding. Held at a church hall, pirogi, kielbasa and golumbki buffet catered by bapchas in white aprons, a polka band and a "set up" on every table. (A bottle of Seagram's 7 and a bottle of Oscar's lemon lime or ginger ale, aka a Buffalo open bar.)

I'm 100% Polish.  That sounds like a great time!  43 years ago ours was at a Lackawanna Knights of Columbus. Lots of bar, food, music. Everyone enjoyed it

I know F all about the draft or the players. What position are you guys hoping to get with our pick? Like maybe a DT? I dunno whats gonna be good around pick 30 if we don't move.

DT & CB first two rounds. Plus an announcement Bills come to terms with Cook 😁

It may be the wrong thing to do, but man....I take 1 look at Campbell and wonder why I am supposed to fear him at all.  Short arms.  Small hands.  Not the biggest guy.  It's the kind of pick a division rival takes and I say "thank you".

Agree idk why but he doesn't look like a difference making LT. Kinda of smallish in spite of his measurables

Not really draft, but related. Jim Kelly leaving Buffalo at the alter…

Jim Kelly in town to sign after the draft.  Bruce Allen of the USFL calls the Bills offices and the secretary gives the call to Kelly’s agent and tells him not to sign. Jim leaves and the rest is history.  I do believe his years in the USFL helped make him a better NFL QB, specially in the K Gun.

Probably Bills solution to all this was to fire the secretary

  9. 2002 I get tickets from work to attend the draft in the Jim Kelly suite. We draft Mike Williams and 20 minutes later trade for Drew Bledsoe.  The mood there is Super Bowl!!!

Years later I realize I had a front row seat to one of the darker moments of the Bills history
