  1. Well, that's pretty clear. He shot a 17 year old who was walking home from the corner store. First, he followed him and then most likely approached Trayvon because he was "suspicious".

Where are you getting this garbage? No version of the story has mentioned anything of the sort. Again, you totally discount anything Zimmerman or the eyewitness has had to say, completely disregard the visual evidence of injuries sustained and the eyewitness acount of Trayvon pummeling Zimm, and then you offer your own BS speculation about the actual events and Zimmerman's motive.

Why do you need more evidence as to Trayvon's level of aggression when you've totally disregarged all available evidence to date? Face it, you touted this as a failure of the "justice system" the minute this story broke, you found George Zimmerman guilty of hate crime, and you're sticking with it.

  2. Selective memory. I've seen plenty of recent photos on the news the last few days.

Am I supposed to accept that his level of aggression has been firmly established?? I don't think so.

Why not? You've already "accepted" that Zimmerman was acting overly aggressive. What's the problem? It seems you're rather "selectively" choosing which pieces of the story you want to believe.

  3. And how do we know that's what really happened? In the end the chain of events that lead to Martin being shot started with Zimmerman getting out of his car to follow Martin.

How do we know Zimmerman actually shot Trayvon, except for all the evidence? This never would have happened if Trayvon hadn't left his house to buy skittles and iced tea.

    See how ridiculous that sounds?

Leaving your car is not a crime. Following someone does not merit violence. Claiming Zimmerman is at fault for leaving his car absolves Trayvon of all responsibility for his own actions. It was likely poor judgement for an ordinary citizen to follow Trayvon with no apparent cause, but charging him for murder for exiting his vehicle or suggesting he has no right to self-defense since the assault was justified, in your opinion, is absolutely absurd.

  4. This would depend on what actually transpired in the side yard where Martin was killed. But if Zimmerman hadn't gotten out of the car and followed him this never would have happened to begin with.

And if Trayvon hadn't assaulted Zimmerman and slammed his head into the pavement, this never would have happened. Now which one of these things sounds like a crime to you? Exiting a vehicle with intent to follow, or assault?

  5. I think Zimmerman got the beating he probably deserved.

And Trayvon...while Zimmerman deserved a little bit of a beating, Trayvon rolled the dice and lost. Sucks to be him.

I think that about sums it up. Although I think its reasonable to expect better judgement from citizens who choose to exercise their right to carry a concealed weapon, I don't see much evidence that a crime was committed. But the mob has spoken, and Zimmerman should be marched to the gallows to atone for the Sanford PD's history of injustice.

This would have been a fine time for Obama to dust off an old classic in regard to Zimmerman and Trayvon, I think "he acted stupidly." Maybe he could revisit the Harvard Prof incident too, with "Thats what my son would have looked like [in fifty years]." Much better,

  6. I want to be so done with this case. But, I can already tell Zimmerman is going to get off scott-free and not facing any repercussions for killing a young man who happened to look "suspicious" while walking to get snacks. We can argue as much as we want about this case. But the facts are this: Trayvon was going to and returning from a store that day. He was never intending to rob anyone or "attack" anyone. Zimmerman got over-aggressive in his neighborhood watch and somebody died. Sad to see.

In your estimation, was Trayvon's level of aggression appropriate given the egregious offense committed by Zimmerman? How badly should someone be beaten for following another man?

  7. This is like the third time this week where I've seen a tranny that I honestly would have had no idea about...I'm gonna have to pull a crocodile dundee next time I'm out on a date just for peace of mind.

    And if she's a post-op?

  8. Uh...yeah. What's wrong with that?

Clearly you're a racist, and a heartless one at that. The Constitution guarantees us, as American citizens, a certain minimum lifestyle. Our rights to a comfortable wage, healthcare, a house, a car, an LCD TV, and a smartphone are inalienable under the 5th or 6th amendment (not sure which one, but its in the top ten). Anyone who doubts this wants to kill grandma!

  9. Could you bring yourself to try these eggs?

They cook them all day in urine that is collected at schools from boys that are 10 and under only.

Those motherf$%^ers stole my recipe for egg nog! Pirating DVDs, corporate espionage, now stealing priceless family traditions. Shame on you, China.

  10. I listened to his first album, Strategic Grill Locations, this weekend. Still so good. Wouldnt even know where to start quoting it. If you dont have it, or havent heard it, shoot me a PM.

You can PM Dr.D or install spotify and listen to it right now.

  11. I don't hate you; I just consider it my civic duty to beat some sense into teenagers.

That I enjoy picking on you is just something of a bonus...but then, I enjoy picking on everyone, so it hardly makes you special.

Tread lightly, Tom. It starts with some harmless internet banter with a 15 year old and next thing you know you're eating stale brownies and having a sit down with Chris Hansen. Seen it a thousand times.

  12. Since when do murderers get to have a normal life? (OJ maybe?) Zimmerman is a self-appointed Barney Fife who was determined to shoot him a thug. He wanted a confrontation that would allow him to "stand his ground" and an innocent kid is dead. It would take me 3 seconds to indict him, but then again I'm not in the NRA's pocket.

    PTR

It must get tiring carrying around all that white-hispanic guilt.

  13. "Some songs have a special meaning for a man in regards to a special woman. But this can backfire, because maybe the song had deeper meaning to begin with but now it’s being cheapened. ‘We are the world, we are the children, we are the ones who make a better life so let’s keep on giving… Remember that song, baby? The night I f%^*%^ you in the pet cemetery!?!"

  14. If you really wanted to be the top-hat and monocle of the group then you should point out that I'm ridiculing people in the exact same post where I tell them that ridiculing should not be done.

Like I said, look up irony. Not sure how its possible, but it appears that I've over-estimated you.

Sorry DiN, you try but Conner is just too damn good.

  15. All of your posts are so silly. This is the most unscientific discussion ever. A very silly thing when you are all supposed to be discussing a scientific topic.

This is probably not a complete list of how ridiculous you all are.

erynthered is using argument from silence and Ad hominem attacks

Alaska Darin has used Judgmental language, appeal to ridicule, Appeal to spite

DC Tom used the Continuum fallacy and Appeal to ridicule

    3rdnlng used Appeal to ridicule

    Bigfatbillsfan used Appeal to spite

Thank you, Conner. Can we please get back to discussing the hard science and facts surrounding climate shift as introduced by Conner in the post below?

Still waiting for you to collect your Nobel Prize for disproving global warming. We all know you could be a famous man, but instead you sacrifice fame and fortune and spend your time educating1 our feeble minds. We on TBD/PPP appreciate that you give so much of yourself for us.

    1. Read: miseducate

I can see why you're a legend at PPP. Why don't you look up irony on wikipedia while you're at it.
