  1. Things I will remember about EJ's time in Buffalo: His comeback against the Panthers in the home opener of his rookie season. His picture perfect handoffs to Fred Jackson. His beautiful touchdown pass to JJ Watt. His 7 TD performance against the Jaguars in London. I own 10,000 shares of EJMLL. Please share your fondest EJ memories.
  2. I thought Beerball was a fine mod and I likely got more PMs inquiring about the nature of my "problem" and why I cannot behave than most here. You can call it playing favorites but I think BB was more lenient with frequent contributors who had some kind of relationships on the board, even if he didn't care for the person personally. The Kaep thread was a total cluster. Politically motivated posts and PPP style debate on mainboard has always been a bannable offense. "Someone else got away with it on page 56 first" is a poor excuse.
  3. http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap2000000336907 Here's a little article for the #AllPicksMatter crowd. There's a name toward the bottom of the list you guys might recognize. #CompensatoryPicksMatter!!!
  4. There were many people here who enjoyed having access to a member of the media who has access to players and personnel that we common folk do not. TG's twitter antics are well documented, but if you hate the guy's guts its relatively simple to avoid the "Ask TG..." thread. If I recall correctly, TG's ground rules for continuing participation were that attacks on other members of the media and his colleagues were off limits. In other words, he wasn't going to tolerate posts like "Hey, TG, tell your pal Mort to stfu!". That was basically the post that set it all off. A small contingent of posters won the battle that day and proved I don't know what and now neither the "winners" or TG are here today. We all have basically the same ground rules here. If it stops being fun, then we're out. TG and JW have said the same thing.
  5. Comp picks, mail in rebates, and clipping proof of purchase from cereal boxes are all keys to success in the NFL.
  6. I'm a man who watches sports. I also think from time to time. Which is probably why I don't spew dribble, void of anything even resembling perspective or humility. As a man who watches sports, I'm well versed in ridiculous, drunk talk. I recognize it readily. Playing the ponies all day doesn't mean you're ready to run the Preakness, riverboat row_33.
  7. "I could be a better NFL GM" says local man with adequate performance reviews at his own job. Local man is by most accounts a true NFL Outsider. While some naysayers believe his lack of experience is a weakness, local man sees these supposed weaknesses as his greatest strengths as his total lack of front office experience shields him from the pitfalls associated with years of formal training and scouting experience like conventional wisdom, also known as "group think". Local man says he has not been contacted by any NFL teams regarding their vacancies at GM. Teams may be waiting to see if local man pursues his political ambitions before making an offer as he was recently overheard claiming he could be a better president of the United States. This thread reads like the Onion.
  8. Whaley couldn't spell comp pick even if we spotted him the c-o-c- and the k.
  9. Soft boiled eggs are great sous vide. My only complaint is that if you want a real presentation quality 63 degree egg you still need to boil it first to set the outer whites and shock it in ice water before tossing it in the bath or else white runs away. I've had similar success with just boiling for 5-6 mins and shocking in an ice bath.
  10. After losing out on the trade and cut Osweiler sweepstakes they had a lot of available money and Glennon was the next worst idea on the table. Makes sense to me.
  11. That's what it sounds like. I hope they ran him out of town and hes not actually self-destructing. If the rumors are true, and booze was the convenient excuse to dump McCloughlan than he should land with another team in short order. I must admit that I am somewhat skeptical that Scotty has got alcoholism under control now that he's cracked and down and switched to drinking beer only. I don't think that's how those addiction things work.
  12. Pretty sure its "Chill out. Dave's not here mannnnnnnn"
  13. Pez dispensers full of Demerol are the NFL benefits plan not abuse of drug laws, silly goose.
  14. No one is more upset about Brown leaving than Jay Ajayi. Possibly Leveon Bell.
  15. He only killed two people. In Baltimore they would build him a statue.
  16. At the very least, we've actually drafted some players that other teams want these past few years. That's a nice change.
  17. I would sign him for the vet minimum and toss some incentives in. That's it. Our backfield is crowded enough as it is with the 7 full backs we just signed.
  18. When was this asserted? Got a link?
  19. I would imagine that cutting McCoy AND trading Darius would have to fit into any scenario involving a TT trade. Does anyone know the cap savings that would create?
  20. I can assure you that its not personal. You refugees are just new scum (not to be confused with old scum which comprises the rest of the board) for now until I get to know you all on a one-on-one basis. Honestly, I have zero issue with all you filthy raft people arriving on our fair shores looking for a new home. I think the influx of new blood (speaking of which, please add your blood type to your sig and your organ donor status) sets us up for a more lively off season and hopefully more activity during the doldrums of the offseason. Plus there are certain roles here that are simply below naturalized TBD members. Rest assured that you are not being treated unfairly. Those who have been here for years and have a rich and shameful posting history to draw from get it way worse (just look at Buffalo Barbarian). So you all have that going for you...which is nice.
  21. They certainly do.
  22. BBMB sounds like a stupid place for jerks and most of you new scum come across like battered women served with lemon butter. Serious Stockholm Syndrome going around on your old board. Fear not, fresh fish; we will mend your broken hearts and teach you how to love again. That or grind you into dust trying. Point is, this is a safe space and you're all kinda welcome here I guess. Make yourselves at home but don't make TBD like the sh@#$hole home you just got kicked out of.
  23. First OJ now apple juice. Hide your kids, hide your wife.
  24. I have a feeling that you and I are going to get well acquainted during your 3 month stay here.
