  1. Don't forget the "diddly-poo" one, that one is almost equal to "playoffs?". Almost.
  2. Interesting game - I didn't like the 9ers' chances on the road today. Small revenge for the past two losses and one of my most hated losses ever - the '92 34-31 defeat at the hands of the Bills and Jim Kelly at Candlestick Park - Jimbo threw for 403 yards for 3 TDs - out dueled Young who had 449 and 3.
  3. Never seen such whining. Not only is the deficit ONLY 10 points, but I like Buffalo's chances to win this one.
  4. Ehh don't be so upset. 10-0 isn't that great of a lead, for as poorly as Buffalo has played.
  5. Was that blocked? A 20-yarder? That had to be blocked.
  6. That was Ike's 6th TD on the year....maybe Martz isn't so bad afterall.
  7. I'd call that Browns loss an upset. But they do happen. Look at what Oakland did to Denver - a division leader - last week.
  8. No you have to go with Bush even if he's 50%
  9. Stick with ARI through STL and MIN and then drop them if you make it to Week 16 for HOU @ OAK.
  10. Ed Roch is right except DET has sucked for a while now
  11. ARI-PHI at least has some interest: Cardinals want to improve playoff standing McNabb playing for FA contract in '09
  12. Are you kidding me? Let's look at those things you mentioned in the context of what a young, rich, athlete generally seeks. Skiing? Pass. Musicals? Pass. Niagra Falls? What, are you going to go there every weekend? Pass. Art Galleries and museums? Pass. Fishing and hunting? Pass. Golf? Not likely. The casinos, bars and strip clubs are certainly draws, but as you admit yourself, it's not Vegas or Atlanta or Miami. I happen to love the all-night bar scene in Buffalo. There are plenty of attractive single girls at the bars who are more than willing to drop their panties for guys who have all of their teeth, if not much else going for them. But that's simply amateur hour for a professional football player. For the hottest girl at a bar on any given Friday night in Buffalo, there are 100 hotter ones in multiple bars in NYC and Miami. These athletes are going to be idolized by mostly white young kids in college at UB or Fredonia. Football players like that, but they've had that their entire adult lives - they want more. They want to meet and hang out with CELEBRITIES.
  13. Cassel hardly played in college - he was a backup. Edwards was hurt a ton. They are both very early in their careers, and frankly, I don't have enough to go on to pick one. I will say that Edwards has impressed me at times with limited offensive weapons while Cassel has had a few good games after he got the wheel of a Cadillac handed to him. Randy Moss makes one-handed catches while being covered tightly by a CB on the sideline and Wes Welker is open on every single play. If Edwards was in Cassel's position I bet he would be more consistent. Put Cassel on Buffalo and the Bills might be worse than their current record.
  14. "Brady goes down and they pull a Q.B. out of their pocket the likes of which Buff has not seen since Kelly." Sorry, but I'm not about to anoint Matt Cassel as the next Jim Kelly or [insert HOF QB here]. He's had back-to-back big games against the 26th and 28th ranked passing defenses in the league. 400+ yard, high-scoring shootouts where the clock was stopping on almost every play. And he had a nice game against Denver too, they're ranked 25th. Against the Bills he was efficient and ran for a TD, fumbled once and was only sacked once. But look at the season before that: Against Indy (not exactly the best defense in the league), NE scored a measly 15 points and Cassel didn't throw a TD and got picked off. Against St. Louis, a horrible team, Cassel got picked off twice and sacked 3 times. Against San Diego, NE scored 10 points, Cassel didn't throw a TD, and he got picked off once and sacked 4 times. San Francisco - 1 TD, 2 INTs, sacked 5 times. The first Miami game - NE was drubbed 38-13, Cassel fumbled, was picked off, was sacked 4 times and his YPA was an astonishingly low 4.2. Against the Jets in Week 2, Cassel played a relatively clean game going 16/23 for 165 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs, but 4 sacks. And in Week 1 coming in for Brady he did well, throwing a TD on 13/18 passing for 152 yards. They beat the Chiefs. Pittsburgh is coming to NE this week. Look at those teams I went through again. Cassel has not faced any defense even close to theirs. Pittsburgh is allowing only 3.8 yards per PLAY. They are giving up only about two touchdowns per game (14.5) - or how about 5 FGs. They allow less than 240 total yards per game. They have linebackers with double-digit sacks already. They have a saftey with 5 interceptions. If you want to see Cassel come back to earth this week - watch the game Sunday at 4:15.
  15. "Amount Charles Reamon, Jr., a friend Vick put in charge of his finances while in prison, went through: over $3 million." "Percent of that money accounted for: 0." "Amount New York bankruptcy attorney Peter Ginsberg alleges Vick's business manager Mary Wong "wrongfully removed" from Vick's accounts: $900,000." "Percent of that money accounted for: 0." Vick was so rich at one point that he had no concept of the value of money or who was spending it. And when he went to jail, he got robbed. Sucks for him. But he'll be back.
  16. Damn, you can almost field an entire defensive unit with this class - how about a front seven of DE R. Dent, DT C. Kennedy, DT J. Randle, DE B. Smith, WLB C. Haley, MLB D. Thomas, SLB C. Doleman and then S R. Woodson and CB L. Hayes in the secondary.
