  1. They weren't horrible though. One bad loss to Green Bay, a 10-0 team. Lost by 5 to SD, by 3 to OAK, by 3 to TEN and by 2 to Cincy with Orton at QB. None of those opponents scored 30 except the Packers. They have talent, Tebow isn't turning the ball over and Miller is unblockable. Easier said than done for any team to replicate.
  2. Denver does not have a D with "scrubs"- they have significant talent at key positions: Champ Bailey, Brian Dawkins, Wes Woodyard, DJ Williams, Von Miller, Elvis Dumervil - that is a top LB corps, two pass rushers in Miller and Dumervil and veteran secondary presence in Bailey and Dawkins.
  3. I think Kirk Morrison was good at Oakland playing MLB in a 4-3. Some guys just don't transition well to a 3-4 or to the outside.
  4. I'll tell you who has been playing with energy on Miami lately is LB Karlos Dansby. Bills need to block him.
  5. I will watch that game - should be close with lead swings.
  6. I've never heard anyone in the media say that Sanchez is "great" - ever. He had a rough rookie year but last year I thought he showed some good poise in pulling out games late. And his playoff performances have been quite good. He's about average, he's young, he can still improve. I'm just not ready to say that he sucks completely just yet. Yeah, he sucked on one bad play last night; but the entire blame for the loss can't be on him. Nor should one game define his career.
  7. Still no reason to completely write the guy off - Jets have lost to NE twice, Baltimore, Denver last night and Oakland - all on the road. He's not bench-worthy yet.
  8. Luck of the draw - every team has a bye week. The long week advantage NYJ have vs. BUF was a short week disadvantage vs. DEN.
  9. Sanchez has one bad game on the road, short week, down to a 3rd-string RB and now he "sucks?" He made one bad mistake, the defense (Tebow rush TD) and special teams (turnover) made the other two and the Jets lost by 4. I don't think Sanchez is all that great but look what he's done in a very short career so far - 2009 (rookie) - led Jets to the playoffs, 2-1 playoff record (92.7 qb rating). 2010 - led Jets to playoffs, 2-1 playoff record, (95.5 qb rating).
  10. Good ideas as a wrinkle but there is no way a team like Buffalo is willing to change their entire offensive philosophy during the season. Denver did it because they benched Orton and are playing off of Tebow's strength (running) and avoiding his weakness (passing).
  11. Bills fans should root for a Denver win I would think?
  12. C'mon, Dallas is pretty good. They beat the 9ers who are 8-1.
  13. Bills must win turnover war and stop big plays on the ground. They will not "stop" Murray but need to contain him. I have no idea who will win this one but hoping Buffalo.
  14. So these defensive options (listed first) are all better than Buffalo.... CIN vs. PIT SEA vs. NYG MIA @ BAL CAR vs. NO SD @ HOU DAL @ GB AZ @ MIN DET vs. NYJ CLE vs. NE Also, Chicago leads the league in sacks allowed with 31, and tied for 2nd worst in the league for INTs (12). I don't know why but I feel like Buffalo could somehow come up with some big plays on D this week. I am reluctant to drop them.
  15. ....to start Fitzpatrick and BUF defense this week at home vs. Chicago? Buffalo struggled vs. KC but I think their defense is underrated. Buffalo scored a very respectable 26 vs. JAX in Week 5 and then a whopping 34 vs. BAL in Week 7. I have bye weeks to deal with and all I can hope for is that the Bills notch their first win...? Any thoughts?
