  1. IIRC the quote attributed to Chan was that he takes CJ out "because he gets too excited at times," which made me want to throw my TV controller across the room. Spelling the running back = common sense. Taking him out because he's allegedly overenthusiastic =
  2. I still like Mooch, but my opinion of him in light of that statement has gone down a tick. Has he even watched a Bills game recently?
  3. I'd still like to see them go QB early, and then LB. I'd go with WR in later rounds. I'm surprised no one has mentioned CB. I know it seemed like we had a glut of them at one time, but we definitely need help in the secondary. A replacement for Wilson and another corner would probably be prudent. Williams play this year before his injury was pretty terribad. McKelvin is what he is. Brooks could blossom but I'd still like to see them get another decent CB or two.
  4. If he's so aware of the limited talent, why does he continue to place the ball in Fitzpatrick's hands? He has two of the most dangerous weapons possible in Jackson and Spiller, yet yesterday he again tried to squeeze blood from the stone that was Fitzpatrick. I don't buy that he's coaching based on talent. He's coaching in a way that reflects his pass-first, run-after[thought] mindset. And is isn't working.
  5. ^ This. They're trying to win the games now and look clueless. I'm not sure if they need to bother playing to lose. Hate to be so negative on them, but like others, I've adopted the approach of looking for individual efforts (ex. Spiller, Gilmore, etc.) and being happy about that rather than be negative about the team/organization collectively.
  6. Like todzilla said, I'm not upset that Graham is on the field - especially after hearing the excuse that he hadn't picked up the playbook early on. He's got real speed, but it isn't being used with our QB situation. I'm upset that Spiller (and Jackson) are barely used at all.
  7. I will readily admit to being one of them. No question about it. I thought he'd lend some experience and creativity to a defense that, under Edwards, seemed uninspired and underachieving. It doesn't make me reconsider my opinion of Edwards as inadequate, but I certainly have loss faith in Wannstadt to field a competitive defense at this point.
  8. It makes me think the game has passed him by. But then I wonder if the defense he's rolling out now ever would have been effective against NFL offenses.
  9. Haha I know a few of us have mentioned this in the thread but no one seems to notice...
  10. ^ This. Unlike Major League Baseball, where each team MUST be represented in the All Star Game, the NFL does not mandate a representative for each team. Just last year, four teams - including the Bills (the Redskins, Rams, and Titans were the others) - did not have a player selected to the Pro Bowl (although London Fletcher was eventually chosen as an injury replacement). On our squad, I'd say the player with the best shot right now is CJ. Maybe Byrd if he can make a few more big picks. McKelvin could be a starter on the KR/PR unit. I like our offensive line starters collectively but I'm not sure any of them have the 'name' power/exposure to be selections.
  11. This reminds me of Lindy Ruff's vague injury list each year for the Sabres. Would this be considered an "upper body injury" under that system?
