I don’t think it’s important. Josh will have his input just like every other QB but I don’t need him to have his hand in designing the passing game and calling plays.

There’s a pretty large difference between Daboll loving DJ, liking him, or not being deterred by him being on the roster. The reality is you don’t know how Daboll really feels about DJ, no matter how much you pretend otherwise.

The excuse would be that Dorsey wanted to work with Daboll in NJ. I’m sure McD and Josh want someone who wants to be here. There seems to be a lot more rumors about Dorsey going to the Giants than staying here. Doesn’t seem likely that he’ll be our OC at this point

Head coaches are a bit different than coordinators and position coaches. A lot of guys only get one chance at becoming a HC so they don’t have the luxury of being picky. We see coordinators and position coaches get jobs all the time. This team is drastically different than in 2017. I don’t think McD will have to scrape the bottom of the barrel and go with guys he knows. It’s a much more attractive job this time.

What does available talent have to do with coaching hires? Quite a lot I’d imagine. Or did you think quality coaches were going to be fighting each other at the chance to work with Tyrod Taylor?

I doubt he even wants to be a coach in the NFL. He has a good thing going being a private coach and doesn’t have to deal with the stressful schedule of an NFL coach.

I think it’s pretty clear it’s Reid. Bieniemy has some personal baggage plus he’s usually coaching into February so that might deter teams from waiting for him.

Andy Reid is the genius behind that offense and Mahomes is the freak who executes it. You can probably substitute Kafka for a hobo off the streets and you wouldn’t see a difference in how they operate.

I wouldn’t put too much stock in Kafka as though he’s the one behind their passing attack.
