Did Brady call the Bills "F'n Bit@hes"?
Livinginthepast replied to Silvercrw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont really care about what Tom thinks most of the time, but hey he is right the bills are/were Bitches yesterday. Instead of manning up and playing their asses off to win they just laid down butt up and took it. So much for Boomer's old "Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills" from NFL primetime. Those guys in the 90s were the Bills I know and love. But thats why I am "living in the past". -
Donte Whitner on Jim Rome...On 49er Football

You are exactly right it was Clements. I am mixing up my overated Bills who later became 49ers. Its been a long day and my brain has turned to mush. ughh -
Donte Whitner on Jim Rome...On 49er Football
Livinginthepast replied to BiggieScooby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will always remember Donte not knocking the ball down against jacksonville? on that last drive in a loss in 2004. Proved to be crucial later when they failed to make the playoffs. Yes its unfair and irrational to base your views on one play in one game but that to me was indicative of Donte overall in Buffalo, he just could not get the job done. Overrated. -
Wannstedt needs to be fired
Livinginthepast replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This unfortunately is exactly right. Old man Wilson has bad advisors and ends up hiring craptastic people to be managers who of course hire mediocre coaches. Neither the coaches or management can evaluate talent to save their lives, their schemes are old or predictable and they cannot think on their feet to make adjustments. That is why after 12 years we are in a terrible situation with no real hope. -
The Bills have been half decent against the 49ers in the past decade but as the Bills have been toiling in mediocrity the 49ers have zoomed to contenders. I think this game might turn out like the 2001 Greg Williams debacle where we got smoked 35-0.

Mario Williams - Mr. Invisible - Explain it
Livinginthepast replied to Livinginthepast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have we done any blitzes from the secondary? Brady should have been punished today but all he had to do was sidestep and throw down the field to guys who were wide open. If that is the case on a consistent basis and our secondary is incapable of smothering coverage why not bring someone like the safety to blitz. Even if Brady gets rid of it quickly he will take some punishment after the throw (and of course the requisite roughing call because its Brady) but the constant pounding will take its toll. Doesnt that seem a bit like of common sense? -
How Mario Williams has been completely neutralized for the first 4 games. He obviously was a monster in Houston, he has the talent and he doesnt appear to be hurt. Are they double teaming him in each game? Shouldnt that free up someone else to get to the QB? Is it the type of D that the Bills are playing, the schemes. Seriously can anyone explain why he has been basically invisible?

Wannstedt needs to be fired
Livinginthepast replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is exactly right. Wanny inherited a defense with great personnel in Dallas because they had a great GM in those years. The second the talents gone, Wanny is exposed for the perpetual clueless loser he is. The Bills have management that doesnt seem to recognize and draft talent. The D was highschoolesque today in their performance and preparation. -

Seriously she would get to the QB faster than Mario Williams has so far for a body slamming sack! -

CBS seems to think that we need to see more of Wilfork's blubberpuss of a wife. I guess the game has really gotten that out of hand. -

Whats with all the crybabies saying their done with this team. Hey I am just as disgusted as you are about this game, the last 12 years etc. (hell the last 30 years) But just like me you will be back next week for more emotional punishment. Its a mental disorder called being a Bills fan and its lifelong disease sorry to say. -

No they are not THE issue but they ONE of the issues as they are in MANY of the Pats games going back even to the Flutie game in Foxboro in 98. -

This game appears to have an all to familiar feel to it. Refs not calling the Pats, Refs calling " Roughing the Brady", lead has slipped away. -
Who does Fitzpatrick remind you of?
Livinginthepast replied to poo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this pretty much sums up my opinion as well. Like most illogical fans I wanted him to work but he has been atrocious in the past 5 weeks. The Redskins game was a blip on a downward spiral. The inability to get it done against the Bengals, The bad INTs againts the Giants, Missing Johnson against the Jets. He has crumbled under the pressure. It really is disappointing!! -
Chan is seriously terrible
Livinginthepast replied to Bangarang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What the hell was with that last drive? passes only in the middle?? and nothing deep. Totally useless. The drive in the 2nd q that they got a FG on was also poor playcalling in the red zone! They ran the ball so effectively and then with the Titans tired out, they pass!! -
Exactly! 12 years and counting since they were relevant!

12 Years ago I was travelling in Central America and managed to catch the Bills Titans "Homerun" throwback game at an American bar in Antigua, Guatemala which of course the Bills lost in incredible circumstances. I cannot believe that is last time they made the playoffs and unless there is some minor miracle, they will not make it this year. What the hell has happened to this franchise?

In the last few years I have noticed the production values for many of the Bills games have declined to amateurish levels on all the networks. They dont show replays of some controversial calls by the refs. They dont have good camera angles of a lot of plays and the announcers are NFL shills who dont dare criticize the stupid stuff the league foists on us. I watch a lot of CFL games on TSN in Canada and their production/coverage/commentary on the games is WAY better than the garbage crews the networks send for the Buffalo games. Is it any coincidence that since the Bills started sucking in 2000, that the crews sent by the networks to cover/film the games have also gone downhill?

The holding was the worst I have ever seen in a game ever today. It was blatant. As the prev poster says on the big play that the Eagles had in the 4th quarter on the FG drive. One of the Bills was held up around the collar from behind, right in front of the ref. It was riculously obvious, and no call!. I saw at least 3 other blatant Eagles holds not called.
