  1. Evans has little/no value with his contract, he simply isn't worth what he's being paid. Byrd has limited value because he's often injured and is only in his second year, he also won't fit a lot of defenses because of his inability to play physically; I don't think he's going to be a good prospect in the 3-4 at all. There is a 0% chance that the Bills would trade their first round pick before he's even played a single game.
  2. Those are just alternate jerseys by the way, those aren't their normal game-day jerseys.
  3. He's just not a very good QB, and he certainly isn't the franchise QB that some are trying to make him out to be.
  4. Start winning rings... or some games and the respect will come.
  5. Well, let's say you do trade for him, you'd still have to make him one of the highest paid WR's in the game. Think that would happen?
  6. Brohm is the absolute worst QB on the roster, he'll be out of the league in a few years.
  7. Honestly, from a pure potential standpoint there's no doubt that it's Nelson > Olsen. Now Olsen is a more well-rounded TE with his ability to block, but from a production standpoint I honestly think that Nelson has a chance to be a top-tier player at his position. I've scouted a lot of TE's over the past decade or so and I've rarely seen one with the athletic prowess that Nelson brings to the table.
  8. Yup, there were three in the backfield in that play, pretty unique set/play from that formation. Look at the LB's and Safety (that had walked up) bite on the play-action, great play. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d819e2a9c/Lee-Evans-70-yard-TD-catch
  9. The only thing that bothers me with Edwards is how fragile he's been since high school, that and the fact that the OL isn't what some would call a strength. But there's no doubt that he looks good so far, he looks like he knows exactly what he's doing. I think a lot of that can be contributed to the addition of Gailey, who is a QB guy.
  10. Haven't gotten around to reading that yet, but I hear that it's an amazing read. Thanks for the feedback, BTW. Here is the first half of the Bills vs. Colts: http://img814.imageshack.us/f/23424.png/ Here's what the Bills did by down in that game, looks like a lot of negative plays on 1st down. : http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/9935/downss.png
  11. It's pretty simple... You start from the backfield and work your way up to the line. When pointing out personnel I'm not interested in WR's, I'm looking strictly for TE's and RB's (some scouts do it differently, that's just the way I was taught and I think it's the easiest way to scout an offense). So here's an example: The Cowboys line up with Felix Jones (RB), Chris Gronkowski (FB), and Jason Witten (TE)... That's a 21 personnel because you have two RB's and one TE. Let's say they lined up with Felix Jones (RB), Jason Witten (TE), and Martellus Bennett (TE), you'd be looking at a 12 personnel because you have one RB and two TE's. If Felix Jones (RB) was in the backfield, but there was no TE lined up on the line you'd be looking at a 10 personnel. If a TE is in the game but he's lined up out wide, he isn't counted in the personnel. So if Bennett is in the game, but he's lined up in the slot, he's not counted as part of the package. Hope that helps...
  12. There's no way Seattle would trade for him after what they gave up for Whitehurst, and there's no way they'd trade him within the division.
  13. Did you really just make a Peter Gabriel reference? Awesome....
  14. I think that both parties are at fault to a point. Either way, can't we just let this go already?
  15. Has he truly had the opportunity to "prove" himself yet? Why take a chance on a guy like Brohm who was a second round pick, only to be let go by the team that drafted him?
  16. Funny how that works isn't it? Pre-season doesn't mean anything until it lends to one's biases.
  17. Well, to be fair, the same could be said for Edwards.
  18. I'd take a chance on him for a 7th. Though he'd have to be willing to re-do his contract, he's due $7.36 million with a $5.5 million roster bonus in 2011.
  19. Hell, I give up, here's the link to the image. Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing this each week, thanks... http://img709.imageshack.us/f/viewerey.png/ Click on the image to enlarge.
  20. I'd like to gauge the interest around here in tendency charts. I watch every game, every week, and make a tendency chart for every team in the league. It's a great way to scout a team and have a good idea what to expect when your team plays them. Would you all like for me to post the tendency charts for the Bills every week? Here's just a short example of what a tendency chart looks like. Edit: Crap, for some reason it isn't posting correctly. Give me a few minutes to figure it out. Edit: Do tags not work here?
  21. Going into the pre-season I thought the Bills were a 4-12 team, seeing how much Edwards has improved as a player I could see the Bills going 6-10. It's all going to be about how good/bad Edwards does in the end.
