  1. Interesting read on McCoy. I also get the vibe that he would run away if it got too hot in the kitchen. I gave him props earlier, but now I wonder how much he was involved, if at all. Someone earlier made a good point that many sections in the police report may be false or made up to make the cops look good. These guys are no longer third-party, and should not be writing police reports based on altercations they may have started off-duty while drunk.
  2. It's a false dichotomoy. In my experience I've dealt with a lot of very sh*tty police officers. The job attracts a lot of ego-driven, power hungry, validation seeking people by it's very nature. The job of a police department is important in a society like ours, of course. But because I might need them to show up in an emergency, does that mean I cannot be critical of them? That I cannot dislike them in general for their behaviors during their other duties? Or in this case, off-duty?
  3. I just don't like them. And if I have an emergency I would expect them to come. Because it's their job.
  4. He's a running back. Let's not act like we need him to be smart. Just know your blocking assignments.
  5. And every cop fighting in a club is honest.
  6. Philly.com is reporting persons on the scene are still waiting for Meek Mill to throw a punch.
  7. Now this is getting really good. Was Dion Waiters there too? Amen. Let's keep it that way.
  8. Even when they lose, they need to find a way to win. Bruised ego syndrome.
  9. Well there you have it. Show's over folks let's go home.
  10. I love it. Star NFL player and crew kick the crap out of table of off-duty cops over a champagne bottle. That's a 1970's NFL golden age type story. McCoy and the guys beat the cops up so good they didn't even get charged. Damn media had to ruin a great story.
  11. You mean the law made up out of thin air by rich white men. I don't care for it.
  12. Then we can agree to disagree.
  13. Jesus man. Do you have a stake in the NFL winning or something?
  14. You're starting to take things personal in this thread and the other one. Why don't you take a break.
  15. You ever come in January/February? And businesses pay the price when the customers turn their backs on them. The momentum has been building over the years. Sullivan is one "controversy" away from being on the bubble. And Chris Brown is a shill. Not sure what your point is there. Do I have to choose between Jerry Sullivan and Chris Brown? Is there no in between?
  16. Oh God, I can't even imagine. My father has the ONLY tape of Super Bowl I in the world and I can't sell it because some billion dollar greedy corporation refuses to pay me a life changing sum that would be pennies to them just because they have their panties in a twist. Didn't some guy buy Google.com for $12 a few months ago because it accidentally became available. Google could have just sued him and taken the name back, but instead they gave him $6,000 and said sorry for the trouble. That's how you do it. Not this shady, greedy way. I can't wait until they start diagnosing CTE in living players and the NFL turns into flag football.
  17. I wouldn't say my feelings are hurt by him. I actually don't like Cam Newton so if Sullivan annoyed him, it's all good. What bugs me is that the by far largest newspaper in the area employs a negative Nancy to take the #1 sports columnist spot in the paper. It's not that he's negative that bugs me if he was genuine and had good points. What bugs me is that I think he is disingenuous, and is a powerfully negative energy towards the city, paper, fanbase, and team. He drags everybody down and frankly I think he makes the player's jobs harder than they have to be when he writes disparaging columns about them (McCoy, Dareus, etc.). Is that what we need in the midst of a 15/16 year drought? I live in Florida and whenever I come to Buffalo you can feel it right away. There is a gloominess in the air. It wouldn't hurt to get some optimism in the #1 column spot. Not a Pollyanna, but a generally optimistic guy with some original point of views.
  18. I never understood that frame of mind. Siding with the billion dollar corporation. I don't know if these people are just so beaten into obedience they have Stockholm Syndrome. Or they just don't want to see anybody like them (Joe Schmo with videotape) get a big pay day, so they're playing crabs in a bucket. It's like the fans that look down on players that come from poverty trying to get an extra couple million, and support the billionaire owners who don't want to open their pockets.
  19. I don't find it interesting. People are very attached to the team here. And not only on gamedays, but in the off-season, and yes, in Buffalo News columns. Is that shameful? Does that make them less than those that aren't attached?
  20. Buffalo is not a huge city. The opinions of our columnists make an effect on the fans. You can play the "just a game" card, but NFL and NHL are not "just a game" here like it is in say, Miami. So who our #1 columnist is, matters. People are letting it be known. Let the people speak. No need to suppress them. Fans want him gone. F*ck the clicks.
  21. The NFL can pay this guy $100k no problemo. We know the NFL secretly wants it. We know the guy wants to sell it. Yet, they're playing the "all offers off the table" game. They know he can't sell it because they have a platoon of copyright lawyers ready to go. So instead of a compromise, some egos got hurt at the NFL office and they decide to play hardball with a nobody. I think this whole thing is about the NFL not being able to stand somebody getting the best of them. I'm in real estate and people get their feelings hurt during negotiation everyday. Even lawyers and people you wouldn't expect to. Lowballs and highballs hurt people's egos. This is all about the NFL trying to pin him. The NFL wants him to call them and beg for $30k again. Then they'll offer him $10k and he'll take it. That's what this is all about. Ego.
  22. It says something about the guys at the News. Look at Bucky who threw the city and fanbase overboard on a guest column in Boston. They should have a reality show about the sports department called "Schmucks and Losers". Yeah, I'm sure they're laughing their way to the credit union. Do we even know if these hacks get more clicks or they translate to dollars? I know I don't read his articles anymore and a couple other people in this thread said they don't.
  23. Haha, careful there. Even if the NFL was in the right, I would still root for this guy to get $20 million. The NFL can go f*ck themselves!
