Fitz is an overall great WR. Lee is a one trick pony who relies ONLY on his speed to get open. Andre Johnson knows how to read the defense. He finds the open area. its not all about the speed.

You guys are overanalyzing this to death. To be a successful QB you just need 3 things. Accuracy, football smarts, and leadership. Everything else is just sprinkles of an ice cream sundae. You guys talk about an NFL arm? Jamarcus Russell, Kyle Boller, come to mind. Michael Vick is the PERFECT example of this. What was he in Atlanta? A QB with a big arm and no accuracy. NOW what does he have? NFL smarts and accuracy and leadership. This is why he's been so successful in the NFL this year.

You can find a DE like Bower any year. He's no Mario Williams and he's definately no Bruce Smith. Getting a shot at a smart, athletic and polished QB like Luck doesn't come every year for us.

I think 3 of our last 4 games have been losses in OT and that Lions game came AWFULLY close to being ANOTHER OT game. Sure we're improving but good teams find ways to win the close ones. You guys talk about the ifs and the buts; this team find ways to blow it. KInda like the Lions. Good teams win regardless and bad teams find ways to blow it. Sure we improved but we're still FAR from where we need to be.

Get real dude. I agree with him 100%. Goodell's ruining this league. With all the extending the schedule to 18 games and trying to get 2 London games every year now. Who cares about international play? NObody outside North America cares about this sport. And if you want to eliminate concussions in this game, theres an EASY solution to the problem. Make football a 2 hand touch league.

You on crack? Almost 6,800 51 TDs and 22 INTs the last 2 years before they traded him? Those are SOLID numbers. Similar numbers to that when he started in New Orleans the first 2 years. He's been a solid QB for awhile now. It's just NOW Sean Peyton's created a monster. Rivers is JUST as good as Brees. Both are franchise QB's and BOTH franchises made out well in that trade. The difference is that Drew Brees has a better coaching staff around him. Thats it. Sean Peyton is a MUCH MUCH MUCH better coach than Norv. That's it. Philip Rivers is completing 9 yds per throw. That's gotta be tops in the league right now. Last year 8.8. To be completing passes for THAT long with a 65% completion percentage is unbelievable. So I dont actually know what your point is that you're trying to make. But whatever it is. You're WRONG.

First, they've played all weak rush teams and the ONE good rushing team they played against, Hillis rolls all over them for 144 yds. Goodson? REALLY? 120 yds? Pittsburgh gives up about 35 less rushing yds. Baltimore gives up about 101 yds rushing per game. Buffalo gives up 13 more yds. You can call the Bills rush defense PATHETIC but 13 yds per game more isn't all that much.

Sorry DOMINANT defenses don't give up 100+ yd rushing games. ESPECIALLY to 3rd string RB's on one of the worst offenses in the league. Drool over stats all you want. Ravens defense doesnt strike fear anymore like the Steelers still do. BTW...According to those stats we have a better pass defense than they do. Do we really???

And how many players would wear that clunky thing on their head that probably just adds unnecessary weight to their head? Nobody would wear that thing. And regardless i'm sure it wouldn't eliminate concussions. If it would, then players like Steve Young and other players who've been plagued by concussions would have worn it.

Noooo...the Ravens defense isnt what they used to be so it's different. Mike Goodson, the Panthers 3rd string RB just SHREDDED them for over 120 yds. Trust me. The Ravens defense arent the dominant defense they once were.

Agreed for the most part. However Rivers is a GREAT QB himself. Look at what he's doing this year with no definitive number 1 WR. He had Malcolm Floyd for half the season, Patrick Crayton and Ajirotutu???? Granted that Brees won the Super Bowl, but Sean Peyton is a far better coach than Turner in every sense. Also don't forget the Saints werent serious contenders til they hired Gregg Williams to take over the defense.

They've already changed the helmet a lot. Changed facemasks. Made helmets a ton lighter. More padding. Didnt work.

It's IMPOSSIBLE to prevent concussions. As Kurt Warner said, it's part of the game. If they want to prevent concussions, then we'll have to change NFL to flag football or 2 hand touch. It's not the helmet, the facemask or padding or no padding. It's where u get hit and how u get hit and what happens when ur head slams into the ground. You can't prevent that. Do you honestly think there were no concussions when they played with leather helmets? I'm sure there were. It's just a bigger issue in todays game.

that's a GREAT way to LOSE a game. Thanks for the insight. Our defense isn't suited to play that kind of game. If we don't play ball control, we wont win. I dont want to get into a shootout with Roethlisberger and Wallace. NO thanks. Fred Jackson and our o-line needs to step it up a notch

The chances of us getting a shot at a QB like this is extremely rare. Defensive players like Clayborn will be there EVERY year in the early, mid, and late first round. 2nd round and 3rd round. Sure you have your Ryan Leafs and your Akili Smith, but when I see the last couple lottery QB's i think that QB is the way to go. If you guys want to settle for an average QB having a good year, then good for you. But i want to go for the ultimate QB that will lead this team for the next 10-15 years. And next year is the year to do it.

Everyone who thought Fitz was the future of this franchise needs to get their head examined to see if its still working. AGAIN. Fitz was NEVER a long time answer for this franchise. QB number one pick.

Andrew Luck. No ifs ands or butts. Develop a QB and ease him into the game. You can get a DE like Clayborn any year. You can find one EASILY in the 2nd, but to get a chance at a franchise QB that early is RARE. We do NOT pass that up.
