i can't see him getting approved by the NFL owners. he sued the NFL, those dudes are not letting a guy in the club when he was trying to sue the club.
-
he's probably gonna play RG so it'll be glenn-williams-wood-urbik/richardson-kouandjo. i think cyrils run blocking is gonna give him the edge in camp. we will see tho. he is a absolute mauler in run blocking in a uptempo run based O.
bills really might run it 40 times a game.

ASJ i think is exactly the type of TE they would covet. he was an official visit too. id assume he's high on their board and it comes down to what the difference is between the TEs they can get in the third and the RTs they can there. could weigh it a bit but if i had my choice id take ASJ and hope antonio richardson is there in the 3rd

My GRAB list:
A Seferian-Jenkins Washington TE 6'6" 267
Bashaud Breeland Clemson CB 5'11" 197
Carlos Hyde Ohio State RBF 6'0" 230
Troy Niklas Notre Dame TE 6'6" 270
Scott Crichton Oregon State DE43 6'3" 273
ASJ would be sweet

i can't see stevie being involved in a trade because of his salary that a team would have to pick up.
-
id be really into mike evans and ASJ being the first 2 picks but ebron-koundjo(sp) would be pretty sick too. there is a lot of combos of players id be pretty stoked on

I'm sorry but this was terribly last reporting. there are a buch of players at the LSU pro day. the WRs also jeramy hill. a few defensive players and what not. are the packers looking at ZM? I'm not saying EJ is rodgers but its sensationalizing reporting that is a plea to attract reads/buzz.
I'm a huge fan of Murray. That guy is tough as nails and has a great resume. Personally, I would rather Murray than Mettenberger but some personnel guy will fall in with Mettenberger's big arm and pro style experience. He is a rich man's Mike Glennon (with slightly more athleticism).
im alos a big fan of murray. think he's the kinda backup/fill in starter that would be awesome. he might be able to become a legit starter too.

i like ebron a lot but think about the offense that hackett runs. i don't see how he would work a ebron type TE into the mix. they like those inline TEs who block and catch. i just don't see him being used to his ability with the bills and might be a wasted pick. not putting him in the best place to succeed.

Thanks for the backup on JerryLand guys but there wasn't for a second that anyone in their right might thought that a $1.5B stadium was paid off and earing money within 1 year. That comes out to $125M a month or $31M a week. For an entire year. I don't care how much you sell tickets for, it's not happening in the NFL. With 100k seats, that comes out to $312/ticket. And that's including summer months when there is no football.
yeah i misread the article but its making a ton of money and he won't need to live for another 80 years. look at the list of events that place has its insane from concerts to NBA all-star games to boxing and ncaa football games and thats not even cunning luxury boxes and all that stuff.

You're forgetting the players themselves have egos and aren't automatons. Why would either one want to split carries when they can be the number 1 back on nearly any other team in the league? They're already going to have to split carries with Freddy.
im guessing they wouldn't mind splitting caries when they are each getting 15 carries a game. and I'm sorry i don't have a ton of faith freddy will be as good as he has been. how many 33yo running backs are there in the league?
the love for fred is strong but he's gonna be done sooner rather than later. its just the way it is.
Because by next year you can't pay both. I would guess that Johnson will be at least $3-$4m (he was scheduled for $8m). Spiller is going to want to get paid after this season and you may get ahead of it and trade him to avoid a Byrd situation (the Houston rumors are already out there). It's possible that they have a standing offer in place with Spiller and 9.
How many teams have 2 elusive speed backs (ever)? I can't think of 1. You just won't invest that kind of money in duplicate players, at least no one that I can think of ever has. I would be really surprised if it was both.
from what we just saw in free agency running backs are not being paid like they use to. and cj2k turns 29 in september so if he is signed for a one year deal what kinda deal is a 30yo speed RB gonna get in 2015? bills will have more than enough to sign them both.
-
I just don't see CJ2K and Spiller on the roster. I don't recall a team having 2 speed backs? If they add Johnson I would be very surprised if they didn't subtract Spiller.
why not? with how much they want to run the ball. you need extra bodies. why not have 2 similar RBs so you can run the same plays with both backs.

most of the new owners are moguls and won't ever make what they have paid. You think Jerry Jones is worried about the 1.5B it cost for JerryLand??? He's for a rock hard (===3 because he's for the most absurd talked about monstrosity in the league. He'll never recoup what he's paid for that stadium. He's have to live another 80 years.
jerry world was paid for in full within 1 full calendar year of operation. he owned it and sold rights and games/concerts there. i respect him for going that route. rather than hold the city/countystate hostage to build him a stadium or leave.
-
i think it would be a good move. similar running style to spiller so if anyone gets hurt it wouldn't hinder the play calling.
and with how cheap tbs are the bills should look into it. no one is paying big bucks for him. he's 28 and turns 29 in september. so i wouldn't be surprised to see him on a 3 year deal that they can cut ties after 2 years.
im also having a hard time putting too much faith in a 33yo fred jackson. love freddy but thats ancient in rb years.
-
I'm just not sure the bills will use ebron to his strengths. and think what you'd like about ebron. evans is similar. I really like ebron but think evans is the better match for this offense.
-
no teddy bridgewater and oakland just signed donald penn i think. good work tho i love mock draft season.
-
another slot guy....think we can use the money on another position or start to get some of the younger guys contracts extended.
-
but but but he's a meany.... lol i don't care if the guys a jerk. i care about winning. if you want a team of good dudes thats on you. i want to win.
I'm pretty sure the 80s/90s bills were jerks at the time too. I'm ready to go full al davis just win baby!
-
i really want the bills to sign spikes. spikes will fit this scheme so well but its gonna be crazy when everyone starts bitching about his coverage ability when he gets torched.
-
as bad as it look in oakland buffalo really isn't any better. if you erase that last 10-12 years for each franchise the raiders are actually a franchise that looks much better than the bills. they have a rich history of winning and tradition. have won multiple superbowls.
since 1970 the bills have only one playoff win without jim kelly on the team.....that is brutal
-
What were the big name blockbuster free agents signed by Seattle last season?
cliff avril and micheal bennet were pretty big signs
-
Yawn. Same old false story.
2) Most players don't live in the city they play for all year round. The weather in Buffalo from June through October is arguably the best in the country. (Orlando is disgusting as is a large percentage of Florida - no thanks)
come on. lets be real. you couldn't match socal. i some what agreed on your other points but it is not even arguable that buffalo has the best weather in the country... you realize hawaii is state too?

I like Skov and Borland (and even Bullough) for their value at their respective draft slots more than Mosley at 9. I would love to get a playmaker at 9, not a replacement for Byrd, RT, or OG or Mosley. Mike Evans answered all the questions except one, which he'll answer on his pro day, and that is if he can run a full route tree. I have compared Evans with the top fifteen WRs in this draft, and Evans has caught the highest number and percentage of > 20 yard passes. Watkins padded his stats with screens. Ebron to me would kill two birds with one stone, especially if we see Chandler signed elsewhere. He and Niklas have the skillset for what Hackett wants to do with his TEs. Watch Niklas make a climb in mock drafts. I think he'll catch AS-J and Amaro.
We have Ebron at #13 (up 2) on our Big Board and Evans at #18 (up 0). I'm setting a GRAB for Evans for this weekend's Mock Draft. We'll see how it comes out. Thanks to the 206 Bills fans who voted! --Astro
ebron and niklas are so different in style of player. niklas seems more like the fit but i personally would still rather have ASJ above niklas.

God I hope not. Reaching for need vs. taking BPA bites you in the ass far more often than not,
GO BILLS!!!
i fear they will do something stupid like that too.

WGR reported yesterday that $30 million of the $62.5 million was guaranteed and payable over the first 3 years. Assuming that's accurate, I don't see Byrd getting a better deal than that.
i don't think they said guaranteed. it was 30 over the first 3 years nut not guaranteed 30.
