With the 86th selection the Dallas Cowboys pick Leo Chenal, LB, Wisconsin.
The needs were LB, DT or double dip on the OL. Chenal was the BPA @ 35 on the board. He is a good blitzer and attacks the OL violently. His PFF grade for run defense was 94.1. He may be a 2 down LB but a good 2 down LB.
The Bills and @Virgil are on the clock.

You mean Christian Watson, I think. I was thinking second round for both, but from comments in the Watson thread, looks like he may go in the first.
The difference between message board GMs and real GMs will be more focus on production and high percentage of drops.

At this pace, I don't know if we will get 3 drafts in. People are really stretching the 4 hours
You may need to be selective and avoid posters who take excessive time.
I also would avoid 3 rounds - the knowledge of players 75 and above drops off.
Good job as usual - thanks for the leadership.

The Dallas Cowboys with the 24th pick in round 2 select Lewis Cine, S Georgia.
We were targeting Leal but got poached. He was also the highest player on the board.
Cine is a sure tackler and will clean-up any misses from the LBs.
The Bills are on the clock @Virgil

Seems like production would be a factor to add.

With the 24th selection, the Dallas Cowboys select Kenyon Green, IOL, Texas A&M.
The Cowboys need talent at the DT and IOL positions. In going IOL, the Cowboys will help re-establish the OL as a strength after degrading in 2021. Green has the size, strength and technique to be a long term starter. He also has position flexibility as he started at every position except C for A&M in 2021.
The Bills @Virgil are on the clock.

I think we’re going to see a run on WRs here…
I am thinking about Breece Hall at 24 just to see the heads explode.
But yes, the WR pool is deep here and a few good CBs. Bills may have a tough choice.

Wow...if this is how it plays out draft day then it would seem there isn't much confidence in the QB class this year lol.
A QB needy team might be better to wait until next year.

Thanks again for doing this Virgil. I would be interested in Cowboys, Chiefs or Cardinals.

The league would not let the Broncos coach play QB when all their QBs were in covid protocols.

Watson has a no trade clause and apparently it is him saying no to the Jets and Browns…Not the TexansAny GM who gives a no trade clause should be fired on the spot.

Prefer to draft a WR.

Is this the big name?
Anyway, guessing he goes to Pittsburgh with Flores.
Why, Flores released him in Miami.

Well we should want the best seed possible to get the most home games.
Seems simple does it not....

They will come out throwing Sunday. No way Belicheat does the same thing he did the first game.
So they know you think they will do the opposite of game 1 will they then do the same?

I fear it will be the Cheatriots. They have two decent TEs and a bunch of average WRs. Beckham would immediately become their #1.
Is this still a thing where every player goes to NE?

Wow! IR for Feliciano..... I don't like it....
Get we'll soon, big fella!
I think Bates is our swing OT, then Doyle is below him.....
At guard, Ike will probably get the start and Ford backs up at guard.
Get a free taco if you know who our backup center is.....
Ugh, lotsa work to do to get this OL up to decent. Gotta Get our starters back first. That's gonna take three weeks minimum now. Then, I think, they need to play together for awhile. I don't even think Feliciano has left guard down yet at all.... It takes time switching sides.....Plus they all have to get used to each other again. Hopefully Brown is still adjusting things in his mind watching, etc.
Anyhoo, I haven't given up yet that our OL can be decent by the playoffs.....and it could be a blessing in disguise that Spencer Brown is not playing now. While he definitely needs the practice this little "vacation" for him may prevent him from hitting the rookie wall.
Go Bills!
Bates, send cash.

Assuming he still has talent, some posters here are confusing talent collection with team building. He may have more talent than the receiver cut (JK) to make room but the team will be worse because of what he does, not the talent he brings.
He is the anti-poster for process.

I am trying to imagine what the comments would be if Miami hit the million to one longshot and tied the game on 2 fluke scores. The same people worrying about the feelings of the Dolphin players would be calling for the coach to be fired.
-
The objective is to win by scoring the most possible points. It is not avoiding the hurt feelings of the opponent.
If the fish don't like, play defense.

"Just Win, Baby".
Flores and the Dolphins are a wounded bear. I expect this to be "playoff football" to them, where they pull out all the stops to win.
Just like the Bills at Vikings 2018, if we take them for granted, we can get our asses whupped. I expect Diggs and the other vets are reminding the younger players of that - "nothing is given, everything is earned, get your head in the game and GRIND"
Miami had real playoff football last year in Buffalo and gave up. Hopefully same today.
#Bills Draft Guide ==> Beane & McDermott's Draft Tendencies

It may be a bit of a moneyball thing.........SEC players aare assumed to be the best and play the toughest competition so teams are biased to the SEC when drafting. Maybe Beane see some value in under rated ACC players as a result. As others have said, the small sample size makes it more difficult to trend.
