Didn’t realize it until I see it written, but man are we lean at corner.
Same as last year I believe.

Auction is by far the most fun and truly seperates the good FF players. Unfortunately, my two league club dissolved this year after 16 years. Sux. Now my only outlet is in an online snake draft with a dude i know who moved out of state and a bunch if his new buddies.
Not too late, start a TBD league......might be too late to organize an auction however.

You called it a money grab.....she could be telling the truth. She is not going to get any money out of this.
She is asking for damages so that is a potential outcome. This is a civil action.

I was on day 2 of a new job - walked into a production meeting and heard the news. Will never forget my start date.
The week before I flew into DC to get my connection back to ROC. Came right down the river and thought how close all the buildings were to the flight path. Never thought people would crash planes on purpose into buildings.

If you told me last Spring that the team would sustain no major injuries to key players this offseason and the biggest controversy about the 53-man roster is that we cut our 3rd string TE, I would have said you're dreaming and your expectations are set way too high.
You missed the gunner discussion

If going 4 or 5 wide, I would rather have the WRs, not a TE on the field. So 2.5 TEs work.

Today's trivia - his jersey is in a restroom in Columbus TX. His family/relations owns the restaurant but could never figure why they put the jersey in the restroom.

60,000 is probably a negotiating tactic to get the government to pay more money if they want it bigger. But 60,000 probably the right number.
I wonder in 60k includes club seats?

I would just say that 33-year-old career STer Taiwan Jones clears waivers and doesn’t have any takers. There are several guys who would not. This is a no-brainer.
If we still want him, he can go to the squad.
He does not go on waivers - FA.

Just passing the info on the timing of adds from cut lists. Nothing more, please do not make it anything more
All teams will have a 3 day "bye" so small impact.

I could see the Jets being interested. After Wilson they have nothing.
Cam would be the world's worst backup.

Question though, why not just put the other player on IR now and avoid having to release and resign Hollister? Something to do with the ability for a player to return from IR based on timing?
If a player goes on IR now, they are out for the season.

I think the Bills should give Trubisky a 2 year contract extension sometime mid-season. He would not be that expensive to keep.
If other teams want him, they'll have to pay up. We shouldn't just let Trubisky walk after this season for a measly compensatory pick.
If he wants to be a starter, why would he sign mid season?

My bet: Bobby Hart to the Bears for a 7th
The Bills can just cut Hart, don't need to give Chicago a draft pick to get rid of him.
20 minutes ago, Hapless Bills Fan said:On the "Bills think he gave something" side: Johnson had 44%, 40%, and 40% of the snaps in the last 3 games of last season. So the Bills clearly felt he had something to give on the defensive side.
On the opposite side, his snaps got cut to 20%, inactive, and 26% during the playoffs. So when it was "win or go home" there was someone else they preferred to have out there AND the conclusion was "DL was not good enough"
You can't improve something by keeping it the same, which is sometimes what it looks as though the Bills want to do
Another way to look at it.....they had so much regard for his DE play they drafted 2 and signed 1 player at his position.
Personally I thought he was going to be kept for the future but the Bills obviously did not want to keep 7 DEs.

I hear you but I don't think you are going to get a team throwing a really silly offer (say a 3rd round pick) at a guy with 1 start. The fact he is a rotational player more than anything else limits that value was more my point.
Plus on a 1 year contract.

I could see going 5 LB's and keeping Obada. Trying to get Dodson to the practice squad.
If I'm being honest though, I really don't see the upside in keeping Addison over Obada. Does Addison really have much left in the tank?
I agree with the first paragraph - keep Obada and cut Dodson.
Beane will be looking ahead to next year when Hughes and Addison are gone.

Cool thread. Reminds me of what happens when you poll Kansas City folks about the best BBQ in town. You get this same type of debate.
Anyhow...I really enjoy "wings" but I've never been anywhere near western NY/Buffalo and just like I am a Kc BBQ snob...I am sure whatever wings I've had in KC or Dallas/Ft Worth (where I live now) are not on par with the real thing from the region and the people who know them the best.
So....couple quesitons.
Does anyone know where I could find some good wings here in the DFW area?
and 2....reading through this and see alot of mentions about Bleu Cheese dressing....never seen any place serve that with wings..it's always been ranch. As I read through this...I thought how until a couple weeks ago I didn't like Bleu Cheese dressing......but that's becasue I think I've been duped by people serving me ranch and telling me it's Bleu Cheese. I had a wedge salad at a high end steak place down here a couple weeks ago, that came with Bleu Cheese....when I saw it, I was horrified thinking I'd wasted my money ordering it...covered with crumbles etc...but I took a bite and my god....it was incredibly deliecious! Must have been the real thing I got this time and crappy ranch so many other times. so, I can understand about some of the stories here about that....
Anyhow....good place for DFW wings...I'd love to get a taste of the good stuff if I can around these parts. THANKS.
There is a Duffs in the area. I have not been so do not know it up to par with NY wings.
Texas in general is poor for Buffalo wings or at least I have not found.

I have been offered the following trade:
I give up Logan Thomas (TE-WFT)
I get Robert Tonyan (TE- Green Bay)
Chuba Hubbard (RB- Carolina)
I have Christian McAffery as my #1 RB...but my RB depth drops a pretty considerably after that. If he gets injured, I am screwed...unless Hubbard proves to be a good back-up.
Most "experts" have Logan Thomas ranked as the #7 or 8 tight end for this season. I would be giving him up for Tonyan, who most rank in the 11-15 range. I also have Irv Smith (TE-Minnesota) who is somewhere around the same as Tonyan. Is the possible drop-off in TE talent worth sacrificing for the security blanket (handcuff) that Hubbard could give me?
Am I overthinking this?
Thomas and Tonyan are close with Thomas getting the nod.
I won my league last year with CMC and Golladay being 2 of my top 3 picks. Diggs won me the league.
Unless CMC is hurt early, high probability Hubbard gets dropped by his manager so pick him up off waivers. Without knowing your other backs it is hard to know. I think I would keep Thomas (he also helped me win last year after Engram was junk).

Releasing 5 players when you don't have to before a preseason game is such bad management. Wonder what player will end up hurt that you planned to rely upon for the regular season. These are 5 guys that should have been getting a ton of time on Sat.
Seeing how they are required to get down to a lower number, this makes no sense. On the other hand, have seen worse takes this week.

Seems like there is a contest for worst threads that I missed announced.
McDermott has been extended and that is all you need to know.

I don't want to go all @stevestojan about this, but Haack was pretty brutal yesterday. Should Beane bring in some fresh legs to look at?
How has he looked in practice?
Exactly.

I agree and I expect the Steelers to go under .500. I just think week 1 is the worst time to get them.
Maybe not. Will their line be cohesive?

Yeah I mean dude has been injured since day 1. Didn't really see the field rookie year much at all due to injury if not mistaken. Last season was injured also. Just not reliable so I agree it's possible they do something like that
So does a covid complication count as an injury? I think not.
