  1. Hardy was supposed to have speed too, whereas Nelson was known as a "possession" receiver (aka, not a deep threat).
  2. - I thought my man Moats had his best all-around game today. He was solid rushing the QB again and covering. I think he almost knocked the ball out (again) of Henne's hand on the last drive--not positive. Almost... - 2 inches and a drop, and it's closer to a blowout. Jones had a TD but was barely OB. The drive ended on Fitz' INT. Jackson's drop ended a possible scoring drive. I seem to remember one other drop. - I thought Troup played one of his better games today. He and Carrington are going to be solid if not excellent players. The run D is playing much better, and they could be a reason why ( more so Troup at this point). - Miami's front 7 is very strong. I think we're two LBs away from something similar. - I get the feeling that Gailey either doesn't like Freddie J or he's trying to make his Spiller pick look better? Granted FJ did not have a great game, but he's the kind of guy who needs 20+ carries. - Good win today. While the D looked better, they will still get picked apart next week by a good QB. - Hope the Bills win at least one more!
  3. Pretty sure he was on kick-off returns
  4. How about a big game from Spiller in the warm Miami sun!
  5. didn't see the game. What kind of D front did they play and who lined up most of the time on Dline? Also, from the stats, noticed they did well on both sides of the ball on 3rd down.
  6. No doubt, this team needs a pass rusher with the #1 pick.
  7. Didn't see the game, but only one sack they gave up. Seems as if they had a fairly strong game, especially as it was on the road.
  8. He's another one who probably would've increased his playing time through the season. From the few tapes I saw, he reminded me of one E.Moulds... Yeah, I'd like to see some of those great busts too!
  9. This gets my vote for dumbest post of the year. Maybe dumbest poster too. Or it gets best flame of the year. Give me a year on this.
  10. Gailey mentioned in his presser today that it also had to do with Coleman and Moats making impressions at the outside backer position.
  11. If you guys are talking about the monday morning qb club, that is not some nix regular show. It's a bills backers group that has different people address them every week. look for something real to whine about.
  12. You got it brother. I was dumb-founded. I screamed at the TV when they said Whitner and not Ngata.
  13. There was another thread where I posted a link off the BB.com site where George Wilson interviews Moats. It's a nice piece, and at the end Moats plays a little piano. Check it out.
  14. I was on the 20-yard line on that side. It hit in the endzone, and easily needed a good 7-10 more yards as I said. Since I did not see it on TV, did they show him after? He was definitely pissed and knew he didn't get all of it.
  15. Definitely missed it by 7-10 yards, but he didn't really connect well. He sort of kicked at the ground afterwards and shook his head because he was disappointed in that he didn't "get all of it."
  16. Yes, every time I hear/see one of the rooks in public, I'm certain Nix thinks having the right attitude is an important attribute.
  17. One of the reasons I am high on Moats is that he is not just a jock, he is an intelligent athlete. Check out his interview with George Wilson. Who knew Moats could play? Wislon interviews Moats
  18. My man Moats is one injury away from being tossed into the fire!
  19. Interesting. There are 8 men in the box to deal with what looks like the run. The only person you can't see is the safety as the CBs are up to press the WRs. As I recall, the safety bit on Johnson (I think he's the other WR) cutting across the middle, and the 8 men max protect gave TE the time to wait for the safety to take the bait.
  20. As one of his earliest boosters, I do recognize that he needs time to learn a totally new position. He's right where he should be now, contributing on STs. Next year though...and down the line...I think he's going to be one helll of a player!
  21. After reading the article about the 3-4 on the front page, I am a little more optimistic about the run def, as opposed to what we saw in preseason. The front seven is bigger than last year, but more importantly they are all experienced players. The best run defense is one that is greater than the sum of its parts (you can quote me John). This defense can be good by having experienced players playing as a unit, not because a bunch of them need to elevate their game. We'll find out soon enough!
