  1. Would Cody be far too much of a reach to select him first knowing the tackle's in this draft are pretty deep? By the look of the comments here apart from Okung all the remaining tackles have question marks about them. Obviously if we could trade back to get a later first round pick then Cody wouldnt be a reach at all and that would be ideal but I really dont see him being there when we select in the second.
  2. Sorry to be pedantic but logically speaking someone HAS to be the most penalised in the AFCE.
  3. I really dont like the look of Williams. I would be far happier getting Cody or even Cam Thomas in the 3rd and using the 1st pick on an OT.
  4. Both of you are wrong. I have been reading this site for a long time but only just signed up to post anything. I see all kinds of posts, some of which are total crap, but most posts are insightful making me reconsider my views which can only be a good thing. I hope people dont find this offensive but there are people who like to B word (for example BillsGuyInOrchardPark) and some people who are positive (e.g. Astrobot) but though they are coming from different views both post intelligent well thought out arguements. The thing EVERYONE has in common though is that come game time, whether they are buying into the direction the coaches/players are taking us, they will be cheering, wishing, hoping and praying that the Bills win and thats what a fan does. I dont think anyone can decry a Bills fan as we have had a terrible decade or so but we are still hoping beyond hope for a good year, together.
  5. Guys please will you give it a rest. I am sat in work and my boss wants to know why i have suddenly become a blubbering idiot. instead of just an idiot (I'll get it in before anyone else does).
  6. haha ok not bulaga but you get the principle. whould you take a chance on Davis in the second?
  7. Sorry, I knew what you were getting at but why let that spoil a witty retort? It did make me laugh though thinking that they signed Green and then followed it up by signing Davis who we saw gouging someones eye. Are we the new raiders in more ways than one?
  8. haha They signed a OT who beat his wife with a mop handle!
  9. Back here in Britain there was a brilliant show on a few weeks ago dealing with exactly this. Sportsmen who have to deal with depression and the impact its had on their lives. It is very misunderstood in fairness to you. I will see if I can find it so I can add a link here. It was very insightful. EDIT: Its called Mind Games: Depression in Sport. It was done by the BBC and you can download it on most torrent sites if your interested. Its well worth it even if you dont like cricket
  10. http://www.pressboxonline.com/blog.cfm?ID=2106 After reading this article I wonder who would take Davis in the second round if his stock does fall that much. That he's talented there is no doubt but would you take the risk? Imagine drafting two OL's in the first two rounds and trading back into the second to get Cody? With peoples stocks falling as has been reported you could have a draft you'd not have dreamt of a few weeks ago with for example, 1st Bulaga, 2nd Cody, 2nd Davis, 3rd Spikes. I knows its unlikely but its far more realistic than it was mere weeks ago.
  11. Has there been anymore news about developments with Davis? I am seriously shaky about any news concerning the Bills and FA's.
  12. Adam_Schefter Filed to ESPN: it's official. LaDainian Tomlinson is a Jet. He reached agreement on a two-year contract. Done.
  13. I still dont see my point being answered in that I dont see who wants to trade up. I want the bills to trade down but everyone has to be thinking the same thing as this draft class is so deep. The more picks the better.
  14. Who do we trade down to though? Everyone wants the most picks as they all know the depth of this draft. Not criticising the plan as I agree with trading down this year. Just wonder who wants our #9 pick enough to give us a first and an additional second.
  15. Yeah I agree he's no franchise guy but as a stop gap he does a job. He certainly looked ok when the line held firm.
  16. I know everyone is down on him but just watching him running out front for jackson he certainly has heart. you think if the bills address the O-Line we can actually stick with him next season? When given time he looks solid enough. No doubt I will get harrassed for this
  17. I dont see anywhere where I said this is what the Bills should do. I am just asking if they do take Tebow is there anyone of any value later in the rounds? Astrobot, thanks for the analysis. There does seem to be some depth if the do pass on a tackle in the first round. Personally I hope they will trade back as much as possible and get as many 2nd and third rounders out of it as possible.
  18. I think after the draft we can look properly at where they are taking us. I am very hopeful they will suprise us all in April!
  19. Just thinking on my feet here and I know a lot of people dont want him but if we do select Tebow would that negate the problem of getting a top notch LT as he's a leftie? Please pardon my ignorance here.
  20. If we dont select a tackle in round one who could we look to pick up at that position in later rounds. I, like a lot of people here, think they will reach for Tebow in the first.
