  1. If they are going with cardale then we are probably looking at the rebuild Whaley has refutedone IMO.
  2. sorry tackle I meant. Edited accordingly.
  3. Astro put some fantastic stats on Twitter about O linemen that Kromer had coached, really turning around some people. John Murphy interviewed the guy coaching Cyrus in the off season and he raved about Kromer too. I think we'll see some of these rookies and taking big strides. Maybe the bills think they have enough people on the line already here though their attempt to get Bulaga would infer that they would like another tackle.
  4. What is the deal with this kid then. I admittedly don't know anything about him really.
  5. Honestly do people see no difference in the team from 6 years ago? 4 years ago? Granted until the record changes then everyones heads are on the block but the team is so much better now compared to just a few years ago. I think it needs a winning attitude now. No more heartbreaking losses. win those tight games and we are in the playoffs. I think this management team has done a solid job so far.
  6. I know this thread will undoubtedly garner some negative feedback which I wish it wouldn't but I think it needs to be said. I am so proud of Russ Brandons efforts throughout this last year or so. I think he's handled himself with a massive amount of class and put the Bills on the right road. It was obvious to me this week that not only had he lost his boss and his mentor, he had lost a friend when Mr Wilson passed and has understood that the bills fans, whilst grieving, are seeking some form of continuation. The stadium committee announcement couldn't have been timed better in reality in terms of showing that they are looking for a way to keep the Bills in Buffalo. He showed himself to be one of the people today at the billsmafia tailgate. He is trying to be everything to everyone in my view and I just want to commend his effort. As I said no doubt this thread will have a lot of negative responses but I feel the man has done Buffalo proud. i just hope he is allowed to finish the job that he has started.
  7. Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 1m While #Redskins get the 1st visit with DeSean Jackson & #Raiders do research, don’t rule out #Bills as a serious suitor. They are in contact
  8. Done, sending prayers across the pond.
  9. Notice Rodak reported that without context? Spikes post is referring to what rice apparently did to his now wife. BrandonSpikes51 ‏@BrandonSpikes51 4h Someone should choke him out. See how he likes it. however Rodak posted originally Spikes says someone should choke ray rice out. Hate Rodak more than the last idiot ESPN put here.
  10. Yeah and I think he'll go to the raiders anyway but it's great to see that they continue to look to improve.
  11. apparently not... Ryan ‏@RyanTalbotBills 13m #Bills interest in D-Jax as reported by @RapSheet isn't a smokescreen according to source. Want to give EJ multiple weapons. Segal contacted
  12. LOL I hate the self praise and the attempts to worm his way around other media types. I would dismiss it but he has been right a few times now.

  14. I couldn't bring myself to post yesterday. I am from across the pond in the UK and yet have been a Blls fan all my life. I have a picture of me as a babe in arms wearing a knitted Bills sweater that my Aunt from Buffalo had brought over for me. I didnt stand a chance of being anything else and I am eternally grateful for that. The Bills are my sporting passion and make up a massive part of my families free time together. We are not western New Yorkers but we are part of the Bills community which is something I have always been proud of and yesterday we mourned the loss of a great man who has been a massive part of my life. Thats what Mr Wilson built, not a team or a franchise but a community. I now have pictures of my baby son in a Bills baby grow and so the cycle goes on. I can only hope that it's a passion we will share like you and your sons Tipster. It seems pitiful in comparison with Tipsters wonderful post but I cannot think of anything else to say other than thank you Mr Wilson.
  15. What about general Bills podcasts? All I can find is the John Murphy Show.
  16. I hear this a lot but it doesn't work out that way. Look at the Ravens team that won the superbowl, the next year they lost a lot of their defence to free agency. Players want to get paid. If someone is willing to pay more they are going to take it.
  17. Lets be realistic here for a second. The bills had to do the PR thing here and show that they wanted the guy here but the team had a value on the guy and werent willing to go beyond that. It wasnt an accident that they drafted 2 safeties last year. They were planning for his exit. They now have the money to build the team in areas of weakness. The oline can be addressed, ILB can be addressed, dareus and aaron williams can be resigned and they can continue to build through the draft. I wanted Byrd to stay and he might but if he does it will on the Bills terms. They have spent a LOT of money on the coaching staff, they are building the team the way they want to. Byrd may not want to be a part of that, he will probably be paid more elsewhere and I dont blame him for that but how I will smile if we go to the play offs and imagine him watching on TV. Ever optimistic maybe but I do think we are building something here.
  18. nope in reference to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guards!_Guards! I thought wrongly it was guards guards guards.
  19. Mike Watkins ‏ @ Merk256 1m Caplan also said the # Bills made him available in October and the # Eagles were involved...didn't give how far it got or compensation details Details [*] Mike Watkins ‏ @ Merk256 7m "I've heard There will be 5-6 teams in heavy on Byrd, he'll be the highest paid S in the NFL at 10+ per year"-Adam Caplan on ESPN Insiders
  20. If we hopefully decide that we are going to address the o-line this year who do you see being available at guard in each round. It doesn't look like a year where you have guards meeting the value of a first rounder but who should we be looking at in the second, third..... etc. I must admit ignorance where guards are concerned.
  21. I started this thread saying it was not about picking him up and was about wondering where he went wrong and was it fixable.
  22. There's always one who takes it too far! This is an evaluation of Carimi after this season. Ouch. Size: 6-7, 314 Production: 218 snaps, 1 QB sack, 1 QB hurry Positives: Size. Average athleticism. Negatives: Misses with initial punch consistently. Gets lifted off his feet by defenders at times. Lacks upper body strength. Waist bender. Drops head and doesn’t see what he’s hitting. Completely whiffs on some blocks. Ends up on the ground on nearly every play. Base is too wide and feet stay too parallel to the line of scrimmage. Doesn’t extend arms or leverage position. Gets tossed around like a ragdoll. Summary: Sadly, there isn’t a lot to like with Carimi. He played poorly early in the season as the left guard filling in for an injured Nicks. He eventually lost the job and became the extra offensive tackle the Bucs would bring in for unbalanced formations. He didn’t succeed there. His play was really pretty embarrassing. Some might attribute his lack of production due to a knee injury and an infection that hampered him throughout the season. He just doesn’t seem to “get it” and doesn’t want to hit. He takes the easy way out on plays and doesn’t get physical. Will be paid $1.33M+ in 2014 (salary, roster bonus, and workout bonus) if he remains on the roster. Cut candidate if room is needed on the roster
  23. Terrible injury in week 2 of rookie year but i know what you mean. He was one of the guys coming out of college who just looked like he was going to be a star.
  24. Gabe Carimi has been released by the bucs. Only 25 and has played tackle and guard. Now before anyone comes out with the "I've heard of him, he must be good, sign him" stuff, I just want to say I dont understand where this kid went wrong. He looked a sure fire star coming out of college. His head has never seemed in the game at the pro level. Is it fixable? Would a move to guard suit him?
