Just curious...if top flight RB's are a "dime a dozen" and easy to find, why doesn't everyone have one? Stop buying into what every "national" reporter says about the position. Colleges are running spread style, one read offences. As mentioned, this creates mismatches that can be exploited. But in the NFL, the defences are faster and more complex, meaning a QB has to got to second or third reads. When you've NEVER been asked to do that, it's difficult because there are footwork issues and pocket awareness issues the QB has never had to deal with. It's not an easy transition.

Is McCown an upgrade to what we have on our roster? I'd say yes. I'm not doing cartwheels over this, but whoever starts for us is not going to be asked to shoulder the load. I would say he is as good as Orton, at least, and with a competent OC who is not in way over his head perhaps we get those wins vs. KC, Hou and Oak. I want EJ to win this competition. But it is obvious he hasn't taken that next step.

The Bucs have to pick Winston. This league is so QB driven that even with the character issues, you have to roll the dice. You cannot be the team remembered for picking Sam Bowie when Jordan is still on the board.

Don't get me wrong, I like DeMarco Murray, but I am always skeptical of backs who have shouldered an enormous amount of carries the previous year. It seems to be career altering.

Food for thought...if this miracle happened, I'd still build a power running game and use 2015 Peyton in PA, where he excels. True, he chokes in the playoffs, but with the way we are built, he would not need to shoulder the load. Play defense...run the ball...go up top when opportunity knocks. Super Bowl!

That would require Calgary to release him...he just cannot bolt for the NFL. However, many CFL teams are releasing players to give them their shot if they want it.

I'm imagining Incognito and Iupati as our guard tandem. That is an amazing upgrade for a team that wants to run the ball and it gives us flexibility in the draft. Love it!
