  1. Amen, brother. The goal in any offseason is to UPGRADE your roster. Both QBs, while not pro bowlers, are certainly an UPGRADE to what we have on the roster. Argue all you want, but Maxx is right...improve the positions you can.
  2. Washington has a new coach and that usually means getting a new "guy" at the QB position, if it is not solid. I wonder what this kid would be like if he had an offensive coordinator for more than a season at a time, was not considered a lame duck playing for a lame duck HC and actually was given a vote of confidence, which he hasn't had since college. I laugh at a lot of crap here when people say this player and that player suck. The bottom line is: is player x or player y an upgrade? If so, then you make a move, then supplement your FA signings in the draft. JC would be an upgrade at QB. Flozell Adams would be an upgrade at RT. Sign both, draft a LT (if one available) or a NT at 9, then get line depth in the later rounds. Hell, I'd even draft Tebow in the 2nd, put him behind Campbell and maybe Fitz for a year. The kid is a competitor. This isn't an exact science, but we can take steps to get a lot better. Our defense was actually not so bad last year and they kept us in games to the 4th quarter. If we can get some offensive consistency, it will make the defense even better. I guess I get sick of hearing this player is crap or that player is crap when you have to look at a lot more than just wins and losses. Get Jason Campbell, tell him he's the man and see what happens. Give the kid a stable environment and tools to work through the draft (with o-line priority #1).
  3. Sorry...but as stated earlier, moot point. May as well talk about what happens if the Raiders win the Super Bowl...
  4. Then why is it seemingly impossible to achieve here? I am not saying the quote is not obvious...just pointing out that if it is, WTF are we doing?
  5. I think they realized they needed help the moment they were hired.
  6. Jeremy gets my "Thumbs Up for Everything!!" award.
  7. In the NFP Michael Lombardi made the following statement: http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Diner-...r-NFC-East.html "The common thread to achieving success in the NFL is having a good coach, a quality quarterback, a left tackle and a defense that can rush the passer." Do we have any of these?
  8. Gaither to play LT...Adams to play RT....draft a NT or trade down to do it...and run the hell out of the ball
  9. I think this is another major issue holding up the collective bargaining agreement. The money being paid out to first round draft picks is out of control. I also think it's bad for the players themselves. Mike Williams is a great example: Once he got that bonus check, he knew he was set for life, and once he knew there was no real reason to play any more, why should he have to work so much harder to make it in the pros? That's why it seems so many first round draft picks bust out. You cannot blame the CBA for poor drafts...every other team deals with it and it appears they have done their due diligence on players better than we have. I really is as simple as that.
  10. um...the Canadian football fields are in yards, not meters....
  11. BB...I am new, but I can see where the intelligence in this board lies. Well said.
  12. Why does everyone care what he was paid? We were well under the cap and the $$ isn't coming out of your account...so who cares? Would you rather overpay a decent LT or have noone at a bargain?
  13. The idiocy was not only trading your "Pro Bowl" LT, it was also not having a plan to fill his absence. This is the National Football League and every team (besides us) realize that QB, LT, DE and CB are the money positions. Here's hoping (praying?) the new regime doesn't overthink the situation. I am encouraged thus far.
  14. Unless you are an NFL scout, news reporter, family member, or part of the college teams' program, if you attend a so-called pro day you are a loser. As opposed to calling yourself "Mr. Wonderful" and chastising a guy for liking football. Put down the Cheetos, get off the waterbed, wade through the garbage and get some air, for everyone's sake.
  15. Wow. The mere mention of Dez Bryant in the first pretty much clinches "idiot" status.
  16. Have to agree with the posts about the T and QB.....two GLARING needs....
  17. It's hard to say "be patient" when you have been doing it for a decade, but we really have to be. I waited this long for the Bills to get something right and I am willing to give the new regime a chance. It may be a 4 win season, but I think the last quarter of the season will tell us where our future lies.
